So disappointed in my experience with this Lowes. I live in Colorado and my father lives in Pataskala. I wanted to purchase an item for him online and have it picked up in the store. I called BEFORE I ordered my item and told them that I would not be able to pick it up myself and asked if it would be possible for my mother to pick it up. I was told that she absolutely would be able to pick it up. I was advised to put her name in the comment section when purchasing if one was available and to call back and have her name added afterward if it was not. There was no comment section available so I called Lowe’s about 30 minutes after making the purchase to be sure that it had time to go through. The person I spoke with brought my order right up and assured me that my mom’s name had been added and she would be able to pick up the item as long as she had her photo ID. I called and told her that she was free to pick it up. As she’s pulling into the parking lot of Lowe’s(a 20 min drive) I get a call from Lowe’s telling me that she won’t be able to pick it up unless she has the original purchasing credit card and her photo ID. I told that person that I had been told 2 times already that she WOULD be able to pick it up, and he told me that’s usually the case, but because of the purchase price($ 250) that would not be possible. I asked to speak to someone in charge. I got passed off down the line and the system hung up on me. Great. Called back AGAIN. This is my fourth conversation with Lowe’s. Got connected with someone named Jeff(Geoff?) Strong(Strung?) who did not do one thing to help me with the exception of repeating that she would not be able to pick it up without the purchasing credit card. He also told me that the price of purchase doesn’t have anything to do with it, and that you have to have a purchasing credit card to pick it up no matter the cost. Okay, Lowes. I did the due diligence of calling your store BEFORE my purchase and after my purchase to make sure all of my i’s were dotted and t’s crossed. It is a ridiculous customer service lapse to have four people tell me different things. I even offered to give my mom the credit card numbers and other info. No go. So… happy flipping birthday to my dad you jerks. Get your act together. If you have a policy… fine…but you should ALL be aware of the policy to avoid messes like this. It would also be a nice gesture to offer some sort of discount percentage off to compensate for the troubles your incompetence caused.

Margie in flooring, Eric in Kitchen Design and Remodel and Jerry in Mill Working will all blow your mind! There is a reason why my wife and I are on our fourth remodel project in five years, and don’t even consider another store – great people, fair prices, and world class service/communications!

Super helpful staff. I find that even when they don’t know the answer, they try to help out as best as possible, or get the resource for you. Any good suggestions and are always supportive of your ideas to try crazy DIY projects. I’m moving out of this area and will miss my local Lowes. I’m not far enough though, where I will consider coming to this location.

I love the workers here! They love their jobs and make my life so much easier. I called Jackson with a plumbing issue and he told me exactly what I needed over the phone. He was friendly and upbeat and just as nice in person. I was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes. There are always great parking spaces and the parking lot is usually cleared of snow pretty quickly. They are rarely out of the things I need, carry a huge variety of products and tend to be pretty competitive with their pricing.

If I had written this review in August 2011, this would’ve been a 4 – 5 star review easily. Since then, Menard’s has come in down the street and raised the bar for what I expect in a home improvement store. Lowe’s, especially the home and garden section, feels understaffed. When I go to Menard’s, I have has people assist me whenever I’m there. At Lowe’s, it feels like pulling teeth to get assistance. One positive Lowe’s has going for them over Menard’s though, is the MyLowe’s card. You can easily track all of your purchases & receipts with this card. Unfortunately, there is no additional sales benefit to this card such as 5% off when you use it, etc. Overall, this store just doesn’t feel as good as it used to, and they definitely have reduced staffing, which really is reflected in the lack of quality of their customer service.
