Called to order food and the girl had me on hold for 10 minutes before picking up. We ordered the«Jason burger» so everything was separate and not soggy by the time I got home. On the menu it says that it was a 12oz burger and fries with pickle spear for 15.95. Well when I got there the lady at the counter couldn’t figure out how to work the cash register and kept hitting buttons to make it work. She charged me 11.99 for the burger then an additional 3.99 to «Thurmanize» then an additional 2.89 for fries. Unless my math skill are WAY off, that is more than the quoted price. I called when I got home and she was less than polite and was offended when I told her that she overcharged me and I wanted to talk to a manager. Her excuse was that it wasn’t on their normal menu so they didn’t have a base price for it so she could charge what she wanted. The burger was ok, pretty salty and overcooked when we asked for it to be medium. Still on the fence if I want to go back. Bill seemed pretty extreme for a burger and fries and a chicken gyro and a salad.

Totally disappointed :(I’ve eaten at Thurman’s a number of times but apparently French fries and burgers are not the best TOGO options… By the time I drove 5 minutes to get home, the fries had already gotten soggy and the buns were a soggy, sloppy mess. I ordered a BLT and you can’t really screw that up, but my fries were also soggy and barely warm. Won’t be back.

Great, great, great hot wings and best mozzarella sticks ever! The portions are well worth the price, it’s lunch AND dinner to-go folks! Staff is always very friendly and the pick up is seamless.

After hearing about this place on television I was ecstatic to find out that a location was opening close to me in Pataskala. This Thurman’s is strictly for to-go orders so if you wanna capture the food without the ambience and struggle that can be associated with the main location, this is the place for you. I ordered the Thurmanator(I believe that was the name of it) and settled in as it was going to be dinner for my wife and I. I. WAS. AMAZED. I’ve never seen so much food in one setting outside of Las Vegas in my life. LOL! It was almost overwhelming, as a matter of fact, it WAS overwhelming. It’s one of those places that your stomach should only let you frequent once or twice a year!

After watching the Food Network I like everyone else who man vs food wanted to go to Thurman café. And when I saw it on Groupon I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try something new. We went up there it was a beautiful day and I must admit it was a good deal, but I don’t see what all the fuss was about? because it was just a burger and it wasn’t even a great burger… it was just a burger. All it had was cheese, lettuce, a 5 oz. burger and a bun. Nothing spectacular… so unfortunately, I cannot give you a spectacular review but Thurman’s ok for a burger restaurant.

Have gotten carry out a few times. Not bad but not great. The service was kinda slow and food puts you in a coma.

Hey… it’s hard to give out more than three stars to a take-out joint. On the other hand, it’s hard to not give Thurman’s props for even HAVING a take-out joint. The original restaurant is in German Village. This is a helluva lot closer to me. And it’s a neat, convenient alternative. It’s bare bones; with a counter, a cook in the back, a television to watch while you’re waiting, and an ice cream freezer… who knows why. You can’t eat in. But that’s okay. That’s why it has its name. The food? Pricey. But good. Sloppy, but tasty. Try the big hot dog. Try the Thurman Burger, or the A-1. They’re all good. Plus it has really good cole slaw. Don’t care much for the deep-fried brownies though. They taste kind of like blasphemy. Very filling, But very unique. Almost an acquired like. But I like it… although it ain’t perfect. Bottom line: I hope they stay.

Best burgers in the area! Keep them on speed dial, so on the way home I can call and pick up and get back on road to home for night. Always the best quality food and their fries can’t be beat.

I totally missed this place, had to turn around So, thus I took a pic for future patrons. It’s a small space inside. It’s a bit of a bummer that there’s no seating to eat here. No other customer’s inside(yay), so we were able to order right away. I had a Groupon for two 6oz. Burgers and a large chef salad. I remembered a Unilocaler’s tip and ordered the bun separate from the meat :) We went down the road to a park/picnic area to eat, so the food was still hot and fresh. Fantastic meal! I ate the burger before remembering to take a pic. Safe to assume, it was very good! Full of flavor and juice. The toasted bun is a grand accompaniment. I did get a side of fries. Those were not as big a hit as the meat. Not lightly crisped on the outside, a personal fav. A bit too soggy. I was full from the burger, so the salad went home for later. I’ve only been to the original Thurman’s once before. Today’s slab of meat was just as good! Great pricing to match. *Happy face*

This will be my first time eating at Thurman go. At Thurman period so since the TOGO was so good I’m sure the original Thurman café is just as good or better! The girl that work there was helpful and very sweet&nice. The cook came out & knew my husband from my husband’s job but I’m sure the burgers were made the same as always it took about 15 mins and we had a 20 min drive home once got home the burgers were still hot & super juicy! It came with kettle chips &a kosher(I think kosher) pickle. Service and food I must eat if ur in reynoldsburg pataskla area

Drove from Gahanna today because the website states they are open from 11am. Got there at 11:09 and the open sign is lit up and there is a handwritten sign stating Sunday hours begin at 11. There are two employees inside and the door is locked. They refused to open the door, signaling with their hands that they were closed and then turned off the open sign with no explanation. I guess I’ll never know how good or bad is at this location because I wasted gas and time to be refused entry without any reason or explanation and I’ll not be making the 25 minute trip each way again to give them another chance.

I was slightly disappointed. I have heard AMAZING things about Thurman’s in German Village, but there has always been a ridiculous wait. So when I heard Thurman’s to go was near us, I thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to try they cg anticipated Thurman Burger. Well I might as well have gone to German village, b/c the long wait for my food(over an hour) was a bit extreme for a carry out place. It doesn’t have a to. Of seating for people waiting. Then when I got home with my Thurman burger, I only live 5 mins away) the burger was extremely dry. I had to add my own condiments to moisten the burger enough to eat it. Have not been Back, but maybe I will go and try something else. On a side note, the girls were very nice that worked there and fun to talk to while I was waiting:-)

7WORDS: FANTASTICGRILLANDCARRYOUT /NO SEATING . A Snowy Tuesday Afternoon in November. . So, alright, it’s a take-out and the name even says«To Go», so what should I expect? Well, that’s truly the main drawback here — and it’s the ONLYTHING keeping it from being 5-Star. . On the hunt for yet another new spot in Reynoldsburg, we tried Thurman to Go. When we arrived, the expansive menu invited us to go in several directions, but we were both drawn to the idea of hamburgers, so that’s what we ordered. . I ordered a Mushroom Burger and my lunch mate ordered a basic Cheeseburger with Monterrey Jack. The cashier who took our order did not ask for a cooking temperature, so we both assumed it was cooked Medium or Medium Well. Not a big deal, but kind of surprising since this is a branch of Thurman Café in German Village. . Our food was ready in under ten minutes and we took it home, which also involved a bit of a drive. Still, the food was hot enough when we got back home and we proceeded to enjoy the hamburgers while watching some TiVo. . Both burgers were well cooked(and cooked medium), but the spiciness and flavor of the actual meat is what set it apart. These were steak-cut sized burgers and they dripped with seasoned greasy goodness. Although the price was 11/burger for these hamburgers, it was well worth it. The hamburgers themselves are close to a half pound and the layers of cheese were thick or thickly piled. The mushrooms, while they seemed to be simple canned mushrooms, really didn’t need extra kick. All-in-all, I found the food here really fantastic. However, when you eat something that good, you kind of want to eat it in a good restaurant — or at least a greasy spoon — and tha’ts EXACTLY why I cannot give it a full five stars. Every time I decide I’d want to go, I’ll have to decide to eat it at home, as if it was Taco Bell. And NOBURGERTHISGOOD should be punished like that.

We have tried this location twice. The first time it was a 45 minute wait and the food was just okay. The second time was a disaster. We waited 35 minutes as quoted, then went and got our food. We got it home, started munching fries, and realized we had a completely wrong order. We go back. They remake our order which took almost 25 minutes. While I’m waiting, the owner of the order we received walked in and they HANDEDHIMTHEBAGOFFOODWEHADBROUGHTBACK! I told them I wanted my money back, I wasn’t going to eat there. The guy that had just taken out trash tried to refund the money, and it took 10 more minutes to do that. We called the downtown location(which we love) and the manager there wax flabbergasted. That being said, this occurred several months ago, and we haven’t been back to see if things have improved.

Fast, fresh and fun. The 5oz lunch special was a good value. The seasoned fries were outstanding. The burger was average. The side of slaw was fresh and tasted homemade. We will definitely return.

Great food, always had great service and it’s close to home. Just like downtown without the wait. I always get the bacon cheeseburger, my wife gets the Reuben(she says it’s the best she’s had) and my daughter(age 6) gets the tenders. We are never disappointed.

4 stars downtown, here 3 for this visit. 6:30PM on a Sat(18min wait). I used a Groupon deal, 2 of 5oz reg cheeseburgers, with chef salad. The previous tip about buns on the side did keep them from being soggy. BUT they were not in my order. Had I not checked, it would be more disappointing. The burgers were well done, not medium as ordered. Not pictured are pickle, onion and mayo. The burgers were average, but not succulent. Known for their signature burgers, this was below par. I doubt this would have been the same burger the son would serve to his father. The simplest restaurant needs were not met. Say«Hi, welcome to restaurant name». Not, «pick up?» If you only do carryout, do it right! I should not have to ask for another bag, so I can re-bag my cold and hot food separate. Check the ticket, check the order. 2 missing buns should have been an easy catch. Someone completely familiar and tested on the menu, should be taking the orders. Not someone who says, «hang on, I have to check on that». The chef salad was large and abundant. Stacked with toppings. Maybe a 3oz ramekin of dressing. Yes other carryouts were bagged and sitting on the counter cooling. Be more than early for your pick-up time.

Just as tasty as the real deal downtown. I was ecstatic to find out it’s only 4 minutes from my house. As others have mentioned, the wait is insane! I try to call in early and say«I want to pick this up at…» Rather than call and rely on them to not be swamped when I order. It’s quickly becoming a Sunday tradition during football season to place our order when they open for 2:30 pick up, and then it’s ready right around halftime of the 1pm games.

I LOVE Thurman burgers. Hands down, the best burger in town. That’s why I was overjoyed to learn that Thurman To Go was opening up. I mean, a Thurman burger without the 2 hour wait for a table!!! On my side of town!!! Could life get any better? So, the wife and I pop in to Thurman to Go Sunday night around 7. The place has no tables, it’s strictly a «take out» joint. We stepped up to order the best burger around and were told that the wait was an hour and 20 minutes for the food… seriously? This is a «to go» place. What is taking 1:20 to cook? I hope they get this worked out.. .and soon.
