I am very picky about where I live. I’ve lived in the Alcantara Apartments for just over a year. In fact, I just recently moved into a larger apartment there. Let me list the pros first: 1. It is so quiet. You never hear any of your surrounding neighbors. 2. The maintenance staff is awesome! Anytime I needed any work done it was done the very same day I sent in my request. 3. The other tenants are so friendly. 4. The office manager is totally right on! She is very professional and will do anything to help out tenants. Not that this matters but she is very attractive and greets everyone with a killer smile! She immediately makes you feel relaxed. She also puts on festivities for the kids at Easter and Halloween. Maybe Christmas, too? Not sure about that! 5. Awesome swimming pool that was just refinished. Can’t wait to try that baby out when it gets warm. There is also a courtyard that has 2 charcoal bbq’s. If you live near there it is so cool because the bbq always smells so good! 6. Assigned parking. 7. Great diversity! Now, for the cons. 1. I wish there was a weight room. 2. I wish there was a time when adults only could use the pool. 3. Wish the gate would open faster to get into the complex. 4. It’s very dangerous pulling in and out of the complex. It’s located right on N. Riverside Ave and cars are flying down that street. 5. I wish charcoal bbq’ing was allowed. I have had to purchase an electric bbq and that’s just not the same. However I do understand this rule because of insurance policies. So you see the cons really are minor. It’s a great complex for seniors, single adults, and families. Come check it out, I think you’ll be really impresse
