Raquel’s Jazz Lounge

Last night was my first time here with a girlfriend. This is a great chill spot, great jazz/R&B band and DJ playing grown music (nothing ratchet about his playlist!). The lady I talked to on the phone to reserve a table was super nice, the bouncer was a sweetheart. The drinks are a little pricey but strong. Loved the vibe and the music was great. I can even see myself coming here solo.

The first time I went it was on a Saturday and it was packed and really didn’t have room to really enjoy myself but I came back on a Tuesday night which was my bday for I guess the comedy night and it was cool and I had a lot of fun. The people that work there are really nice and I really enjoyed myself, I’ll be back

The place was Poppin music was good food good but watch out thief’s are
lurking around there I was having a good time until my purse got stolen but I will be back and this time I will be more careful.

I came here for the first time since the ownership change. The place looked nice. I went on a Tuesday which I thought would be an off night. They had a DJ, comedians, karaōke, and a chef in the back cooking food. The bartender was Johnny on the spot with the drinks. Tell only thing I didn’t like was the long wait for the food (the food was good by the way). I thoroughly enjoyed myself and met a few interesting people. Very nice place. I will return with friends on my next visit.

Im a fan of dark spots where I can chill, not be bothered and have a drink. This is one of those spots. You can have a drink, listen to some good music and just chill. The game is always on and the bartender Kim is the best :)

Went to Raquel’s last night with a friend and we had a great time. It was Taco Tuesday, Comedy and Karaōke night. Doors opened at 6pm and we were there by 6:30. First the drinks were good. I was impressed. They were $ 9 but if you get them before 8pm, they are $ 7. 2^nd the 3 tacos for $ 5 were good. The cook in the back was great, friendly and had the patio smelling oh so good. I got 3 tacos and before I left went back and got 3 more. By the way, he cooks more than tacos. Third the Karaōke and Comedy was all cool. The bartender Derrick was friendly. The people were friendly. The owner Tim was there. Nice, socialable man. Overall, we had a great time. I look forward to going again.

Loved it. I stopped in here early lookin to watch the game and grab a drink. The atmosphere is awesome. It’s relaxed but really nice which is what this area needs! The drinks are on the higher end, so don’t be surpised, which would take away a star but I was there for happy hour which is decent. Happy hour is two dollars off of everything so if you order correctly you get more bang for your buck. I started with a Corona which was $ 4 for happy hour, but I wanted something stronger and I wanted to have a good time and try something new. The bartender I had was the shit! Nicole was a fantastic «mixologist.» She had her own creations when I asked for a specialty. She made me a drink called the «honey love.» Seriously order from this girl! It was awesome. Her other specialty was for my girl called «Drunk In Love», yes like Beyonce, and my girl isn’t much of a drinker but she wanted more! She was the best bartender that I’ve ever had in the IE. I can’t say enough. Her mixes and customer service are worth those extra pennies. I will definitely be back!

AHHHHMMMMAAAAZZZZZZIIINNNNGGG!!! And I’m white… yes that’s a joke don’t be butthurt! Amazing atmosphere, ahhhhhmazzzzzzinggg live jazzzzzzzzzz, clean, awesome drinks… people here clientele friendly super safe! I’ll be back! Where’s Raquel? Great DJ!!! Awesome live bands, relaxing atmosphere, mouth watering food, perfectly made drinks EVERY TIME my local treasure

A relaxed atmosphere here, however I can only give it a three star rating because of the bartender who works there on Saturday nights. He dosent seem to like serving White people. He made me stand there and wait for ten minutes before acknowledging me or my pleas for a round of drinks while only two other gentlemen sat at the bar at 8pm and even after I ordered he still went ahead and served another customer who had ordered after me. We left after being there for only 15 minutes, their bartender seems racist and they took us for $ 20 at the door.

My better half & I stumbled across this awesome little place after dinner. Originally we were looking for Taco Tuesday however since this lounge does not get enough credit for their awesome Tacos we had already ate dinner. However once we arrived and realized they had Taco Tuesday we had to try the food which was amazing thanks to «Mr. James Ray from Taste Budds 101.» Moving on to the other great aspects, the drinks were great the host was very funny & kept the crowd entertained. Last but best part was the Comedians took the cake in making sure everyone left with their side ribs sore from so much laughter. They truly kept everyone engaged and never second guessing if they would return next Tuesday. Let me not forget to include the Karaōke & dancing as well. Lots of entertainment here that will keep you in the building. Awesome night all in all, don’t let the $ 10 cover charge discourage you because not only will you NOT be able to find a better place to spend $ 10 on a Tuesday, but well worth the entertainment. M

First time here my first pression of this place was nice the music was great but we we greeted by a lady at the door with a cover charge of $ 10 per person the lady was very rude apon entry brushed it off then we sat down asked for a table the waitress suggested one an we were sitting there for about 5mins then was asked to move by the girl that greeted us at the door I was told that the table was reserved for party that was here an she told us to move to another table that was reserved by the same people so I asked her what’s the difference if they are both reserved an she rudely commented you just need to move so we did an the whole night no one sat at the table but supposedly the people were there it was very rude an Un professional the way we were treated I will never go back… I was told that the lady that was so rude was the manager wow I was speechless that a person with her title could be so rude and unprofessional.

Every Time I have been here it is always a treat. Black owned. Lots of love. Clean. Great service. Excellent entertainment. Always amazing!!! Bottle service great prices cold strong drinks. Just a class act!

My experience, was cool, relaxing, I felt service was for me only, but of course there was many others there, hope to see you there ladies.

Great place to be, awesome music, tasty food, grown and sexy people, and the drinks are oh so good.

Unfortunately this bar is closed I went all the way out there a couple weeks ago and it was shut down

The spot is cool crowd and the performer was good to but the ownership need to keep they bar stock with drinks ran out of remy only had 1 shot on a Friday that is bad business and then I told the owner and his attitude was like whatever drink something else no keep your bar Full Stocked so your customer happy only thing made me stay was music and didn’t drink no more after that lost at least 200 $

My girlfriends and I went here last night for karaōke and Taco Tuesday and had a nice time! Cadillac margaritas were $ 10 but they were good. Tacos were amazing! The carne asada ones are delicious! They’re $ 3 for three small tacos. Staff was great! I recommend this place :) Although too many women and not enough gentlemen! Gentlemen, go and check it out!

Went here on a Friday date night. I had never been before, but my date had been here previously for karaōke. I wasnt sure what to expect (actually, I wasnt excpecting much), but I was pleasantly surprised.
Nice atmosphere, fun, but not too «club like». Mixed crowd, but definitely geared for a more mature group. The bartenders are nice and knowledgeable and sling a pretty good cocktail. The DJ kept the crown going and even did a little karaōke himself!
There is no kitchen here, but there is a taco truck that makes pretty decent food. You can get anything from tacos and quesadillas, to a full combo plate.
I think I would definitely come back to Raquel’s and bring a group of friends.
