Smells like a Flim Flam operation
I went there with a transmission issue and the blond bearded fellow in the office was disinterested in even speaking. His only interest was in getting me to leave. I asked if they could service my car and he said «I don’t know. What do you want?» I said «Fix the shifting. It sticks and is stiff.» He said, «Well I don’t know what you want me to do» and turned away. I then had to ask, «Are you a transmission shop? So I have a transmission problem, so is this the place to go?» He turned to scowl and continued to walk off, seemingly obsessed with returning to the back room.
I don’t know what was going on there, but clearly some funny business is going on. No legitimate retail establishment acts like that.
By way of reference I found three other shops that were helpful, two even apologizing for their high cost quote for their setup, and giving me other numbers to try.
