The cedar salmon is awesome from the fireside menu. The sweet mashed potatoes are delicious.

It’s definitely improved since it moved from it’s location at Yale/Belt Line. Especially it’s atmosphere, doesn’t seem cramped or dark anymore. Food is still about the same, nothing too spectacular, but they usually have something for you. They seem to be sticking with it’s current menu for a while, which was something that really bothered me in the past. It seems like every other time I went the menu was completely different. Even if they stick with this menu for a while, I still don’t think Applebee’s really has a clear identity that sets it apart from the other casual restaurants.

Read about the new wood burning grills and hand cut steaks and wanted to try them out. Steak had a faint odor of smoke, no real flavor and was tough. Had the new fire grilled veggies as a side dish. It cost an extra dollar and was the size of garnish on the plate. Three small pieces of vegetables. I asked the server if that was the correct portion size and he assured me it was. A big gap between the beautiful TV ads and what you actually get.

It’s just so hard for me to like Applebees. It’s always been a subpar casual dining spot, like some sort of forgotten stepchild of the casual dining family living broke in a trailer park on the outskirts of town. They have made a departure from the generic kitschy knick knacks on the wall and faux tiffany lamps of years past. The new locations are brighter and more open so I can at least give them credit for atmosphere and attempting to distance themselves. Service was good, the waiter was polite and kept drinks filled. The food… yeah that. I had some fort of four cheese mac and cheese with bacon. The dish was quite bland and probably about as bad stouffer’s For some strange reason it was greasy, perhaps bacon grease was added, I know that’s a thing but the dish sucked. I honestly didn’t even finish my meal, and felt really gross after, you know that awful feeling from eating really super greasy food. Even the drink, a simple strawberry lemonade tasted cheap and artificial like kool aid. Certainly wasn’t any strawberry in it, not sure it was even made with lemons, it was just bearable because I needed something to drink. Overall the chains seems to be trying too hard to appeal to a younger hip crowd, but it feels forced and faked. We know its Applebees, we know it’s a huge chain, we know the dishes are basically TV dinners that area heated and plated. Plating apps on metal butcher trays with dated internet slang does not make this place relevant. The real reason people eat here is because it’s cheap.

Well the last couple of orders have been much better. Not sure if there has been a personnel change or training but I’ll be happily returning to Applebee’s again.

I took my family there for dinner today. The food was great. I thinks the service needs improvement.

Great service and food was delicious! Don’t know about any of you, but I didn’t need to add SALT! Food had great flavor and I didn’t need to add a thing! Steak was cooked perfectly and garlic potatoes were amazing!

Service a little slow. Food was good. Had the quesadilla burger. Easiest to eat with a fork and knife.

Great birthday brunch drink with jalapeños, #OJ, taqilla, and cilantro makes for a buzzy little appetizer on a warm breezy Texas afternoon.

I really want to say that it was great but it really wasn’t. The only good thing for me was the bone in wing appetizer. My son enjoyed his mozzarella sticks. I ordered the enchiladas and the tortillas were wilted and the cheese on it looked like it had been microwaved. I sent it back. Ordered a riblet platter and the fries were super greasy. Told the waitress to replace with potatoes and she did without hassle. The bright spot I suppose was that they comp the meal. Although I left hungry and un satisfied.

I used to love apple bees for their great atmosphere and food. The most previous time going in the appetizer was better than the actual burger I got. Definitely won’t be back with as many restaurants avalible now no reason too.

The inside is very clean and pretty! So thats a bonus. I got the 4 cheese mac and cheese with chicken tender bits & grilled sandwhich. The mac and cheese was okay. I wouldnt recommend it. The waitress was nice and food came out quickly.

To the franchise owner of this Applebee’s, I suggest you subsidize Texas Roadhouse to train your staff in customer service. Yours stinks. I went in, solo, early dinner, wanting a beer, a small steak, and glass of wine, and sat a the bar. The starry eyed bartender asked me if I wanted a drink, yes, a draft beer. She brought it, and disappeared. As my beer was about gone a guy in striped shirt(manager?) passed by, I asked for a menu. He got me another beer, took my order, and disappeared. The steak(tasty) arrived, and I asked the server for silverware. I finished the sirloin, fortunately had correct cash to pay my bill with an unearned 20% tip, and left. Didn’t order the wine because the bartender never again acknowledged me. Two stars because the sirloin was good.

I left my wallet at the bar accidently after tipping about 30% to the bartender on a tuesday night. After going home I became aware I forgot my wallet there. Within 30 minutes of the time I left I came back and the manager gave my wallet back with $ 70(a fifty and twenty) less than what I had. I gave the bartender $ 12 bucks as tip and thanked her when I left. It was only when leaving I checked how much cash i had… merry Christmas manager Tuesday night on the night of the 8th of December. Hope that money goes to good use. The bartender was great so I couldn’t give it a 1 star review. Hope the manager gets caught one day stealing though. He obviously has no morales.

This time food was less salty. Thank goodness! I had the nachos(shared), shrimp Parmesan and sirloin steak and a mango tea(and shared a perfect margarita) :D yes. I ate a lot. I’m Asian. Lol Service was okay today. Didn’t come check by on us too much. But then again it’s rush hour ;) The finished(cleaned) nacho plate sat there for awhile before getting picked up. But of course the service was friendly. My bro had the sizzling steak I dk what the correct name is. But I will definitely try that next time. We eat here pretty often, and he sat the steak was the best of all the other ones.

I absolutely love my neighborhood Applebee’s, more so now at the new location. We go a lot more now, 2 – 3 times a week. The food is much better and the service is excellent! Between my husband & I, we’ve almost tried everything on the menu & have been extremely satisfied so far.

I love their lunch special deals, you can mix match do classic & classic for 6.99, classic & signature for 7.99 or signature & signature for 8.99. They also have the 2 for $ 20 is a good deal too. I thought portion would be small according to pricing but it’s pretty fulfilling. Awesomeness how you can mix the entire. This location isn’t to busy either which is a plus. Their strawberry lemonade is so good . Oh free sampler for 21st only

Slow service, Food was way too salty, and extremely poor general management. I went on the 19th of February and i had a gift card which i used to pay for part of it and my card for the other. But instead of charging me the difference, they charged me the total amount on my card. I walked into the store the next day and asked for the GENERALMANAGER about the mistake and he took my receipt and promised he’ll call me back the next Monday. That was 2 weeks ago. I called back every day since to get this fixed and it’s either«he’s not here», «he’s busy» or «he’ll be back tomorrow», which i heard twice and both times were false. Every time i called, I was promised that he’ll call me back as soon as possible, but i never received a phone call. I am starting to think he lost my receipt which i personally handed to him to figure out. I called back earlier today and asked for a different manager, Mike, who not only helped me figure things out within a matter of minutes, but also personally apologized for this mistake. I can’t believe how unresponsive the General Manager at this Applebee was. It’s absolutely appalling. Knowing he manages this restaurant, i’ll definitely cross this off my checklist of places to never eat again.

Ate here today with work friends and it waa vastly better at lunch time with regard to service. Our hostess was incredible, and the manager was checking in on all of the tables The food drew mixed results but many at the table ordered the grilled shrimp and pasta. And sauce preferences are personal. My combination was $ 8.00 and was a half grilled chicken on ciabatta and a spinach salad. Both delicious. But this is make or break at this price point. It was only a half a sandwich. Sorry, but that is a deal breaker. A better team option is BJ’s Brewhouse.
