Staff is super friendly, and They’re rolls are my favorite. I can’t even begin with just one dish there are so many I love from Amore. The amore white pizza is a family favorite!

The service here is one of the rare and best you can find at an authentic Italian restaurant/café. The food there is prepared just the way you like it and it is very good. You can expect a plate worth every second of your time. Do yourself a favor

We have never had anything less than great dining experiences here. You name it, they do it well. Even small pepperoni pizza for the children. On previous visits, the Ossobucco all but made me weep it was so good. A family restaurant done very well. We ordered several sampler plates which included breaded and deep fried mushrooms, cheese sticks(an accommodation to the granddaughter), calamari, something else. I do not recall. There were three empty platters after the 6 of us descended on them. This time I wanted a smaller meal so I opted for the Chicken Fettuccine. Other selections in our party included penne dishes, calzone, and salads. Fresh baked bread as always. Their homemade sauces are always deep in flavor and rich in mouth feel. This was the sum of the opinion of all of us this night. The white sauce for the chicken fettuccine was excellent. The chicken itself was fork sized pieces properly seasoned and tender. Our daughter’s Stromboli was huge and packed with meat, cheese, and veggies. The BYOB works seamlessly here. Tell them you have wine or whatever and they do the uncorking and bring the appropriate glasses. We did not do desserts this time but likely will next time.

Great food, a really nice menu, very good service, and incredibly reasonable prices make this a favorite Italian restaurant. The owners are there cooking and watching over everything. This is the type of family owned Italian restaurant that I remember growing up back in Connecticut. Most items on the menu are less than $ 13 and the simple pasta dishes are less than $ 10. But the food quality is terrific.

I used to hate their pizza, now omg I love it! I found out that you can get if thin crust if you ask. Our waitress was amazing the blonde who she calls everyone Hun. I will be back again for sure. The the rolls are to die for. The owner/manager is amazing. She always likes to talk to her customers. Also she really knows her customers.

Food was ready when I came to pick it up, and there were 4 delicious rolls included for free! I ordered the chicken alfredo fettucine, it did however need salt. Chicken was good but some of the noodles were a little undercooked. Would come back.

With no doubt one of the best veal ossobuco I have ever had. A delicate mixed vegetable sauce with balanced fresh Italian herb flavors, embeds a generous, juicy, thick, soft and cooked to perfection chunk of veal that opens with a touch of your fork. Worth give it a try with your favorite selection of wine, as Café Amore is BYOB.

I was in town and was craving an Italian classic, baked ziti. I used to come here often years ago and decided to order pick up. I ordered a baked ziti and caesar salad. I didn’t like either, salad came with 3 croutons and withered & brown lettuce. Baked Ziti now was absolutely NOTHING like I remembered it to be. This looked like noodles drenched in Alfredo sauce topped with more cheese on top. Very disappointed, I wish I would’ve eaten something else at home. I gave them 1 star for the fresh dinner rolls.

I’ve eaten at Amore several times, and will be back for sure. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is as I like it – not too smothering, but there when you need it. Something important you need to know, though, is that while the food is tasty, it’s not high end or authentic by Italian standards. One of my biggest no-no’s is canned mushrooms. Another is frozen crust(for the individual size pizzas). While these may not be Cardinal sins, I just thought you should know before you go. There are plenty of dishes you can order without mushrooms, or maybe you prefer canned. Also, please note that they are very accommodating for altering dishes for vegetarians. They’ll even add in fresh vegetables like broccoli, chunky tomatoes, etc. So…if good(not great) food at a fair and reasonable price is for you, you’ll enjoy Amore. They’re also BYOB, which is great for the budget! Enjoy!

I come here on occasion for a pizza Margherita on my way home from work and it’s great! They always have my order hot and ready to pick up at the front counter when I call in an order. I have actually eaten in the actual restaurant in the past and it’s usually packed! It’s a slight downside– but it’s not their fault. They have great food!

This review should be 2 ½ stars. I can say we will come back because the food was pretty darn decent. The issue was it was a Wednesday and this place was packed and poorly staffed. I could sense the frustration between the patrons and the poor wait staff that consisted 2 waiters and one line cook trying to help out. So, this an unofficial help wanted ad for Amore. Decent Italian restaurant located in Richardson seeks 1 – 2 weekday wait staff. Must be as patient, customer service oriented to handle our older demographic, and willing help out on Wednesdays. Please apply in person

Café amore is one of the families favorite places to eat. The atmosphere is great for both family or a date. It is byob. The food is incredible, sausage gambota(probably not spelled right), is my fav. The prices are good, and while there’s never room for dessert, its worth making room for. Canolis, tiera-misu, crème Brule, chocolate mouse. Yea, pick one of each and die a very happy sweet death. To good.

Lunch today was the pasta trio which was manicotti, cannelloni and baked zita. The tomato based sauce was outstanding. The lunch trio was served very hot and was excellent. My spouse had a cheese and mushroom pizza. The lunch price of $ 6.99 includes a garden salad with your choice of dressing, freshly backed bread and a drink of your choice. You can’t beat this deal for lunch anywhere around here. On top of that we had excellent service.

I was very pleasantly surprised by their restaurant when we went to lunch here a few weeks back. I have driven by it for the last 2.5 years and never really noticed it. Being from Chicago, I always complain about lack of good Italian food in Dallas. When Roman Cocina opened down the street awhile back I thought I was satisfied, however I still craved hole in the wall, family owned, make me feel like I was at one of my friends homes in Chicago places. Café Amore has filled that hole in my heart. First of all it looks exactly like I expect such a restaurant to look. The lunch specials are super affordable $ 7 for entrée, drink, salad and bread. The entrees are good size too, my husband and I both had leftovers for lunch the next day. Service was great and fast on a week day. I also love BYOB restaurants. We will definitely be back for a dinner soon.
