Great salads, very reasonable price an excellent service.

Delicious place for lunch. It does get very crowded but well worth the wait. The pasta salad was amazing. I had the soup and quiche before. Everything is fresh and wonderful.

Holy smokes this place fantastic! The 3 item plate was my go to but I am reviewing because I just tried the quiche! I never tried it before because the rest of the menu is already off the chain but wow… they killed this too! Keep it up and let me know when you want a partner on a new franchise! I’m in!

Customer Service: 3⁄5 stars Food: 4⁄5 stars Well, I’m new to this place but my coworker keeps raving about it, so I decided to try them out. I called in around 10:46am from work to place a carry-out. The guy was pretty quick and then asked when I would like my order ready so they know to make it, I told him 11:00am and if it was fine, he said Yes. Little did I know my workplace was a only 10 min drive away from this place, I was in the parking lot at 10:57, walked in, it was 10:58, and I told the ladies I had pick up. The Caucasian counter guy(he looked young, maybe late teens) went to the back and told me my order wasn’t ready and the guys didn’t make it until I got there. I said«That’s fine.» Because, there was about 2 walk-ins and they got their order(s) in and out quickly, so I assumed mine would be the same. Well that didn’t happen, AND I called in advanced. Finally when the food came out, the counter guy rang my order, asked if I wanted a receipt; I said No, but when he printed the receipt, it was blank. So, there was a problem because a restaurant has to have proof a customer paid, right?(it’s one of those old school print and sign sheets). I pulled out my CHASE Mobile App, and it shows the transaction was made. The Caucasian guy didn’t know what to do and called the owner and said«I’ll get my boss because I have to go» he was such in a rush for everything! Like dude I get it, you want to leave but dang. The boss comes in said the receipt was in the wrong way, and told one of the Hispanic ladies to «ring me up»(WHAT? I paid!) and the Hispanic lady didn’t know English and just said«Me no do that, not my job, no.»(Seriously?). The owner was messing with the register and kept saying«We have to ring you up» I kept telling him«I paid it’s here on my card» and tried to show him but he didn’t even bother to look at me, he kept trying to «fix» the machine. He then asked me what authorization number I had, I told him«We don’t have it. The problem was that I paid and when the receipt printed it came out blank. BUT I PAID, my phone says so, it’s right here.» It’s as if nobody was listening to me! He then FINALLY got a copy of the receipt I paid, and this time I TOOKMY copy! All in all, why did my CALLINORDER take LONGER than a walk-in order? I called in for a reason. Next time please train your staff to be a bit more trained or attentive, especially during lunch hour. My lunch is only 30 mins long, by the time I got my desk I only had 5 mins left for lunch to spare. This only should’ve took me 15 mins at most. I gave 3 stars because first off, I didn’t get my muffin or roll like I ordered on the phone, second it took longer than it was suppose too, and third, can they train their people a bit better? But yes, the Sample Salad is delicious! I’ll be back, but I’m going to do a walk-in instead.

I only ever order the salad sampler so I can get a little bit of each salad. My favorites would be the Caesar, pasta, and seafood. Oh and also the little muffins they give with your order are really good.

Again I warn of the drivers in the parking lot, they are seriously determined to get their salad! I almost got my foot run over today!

I absolutely love Café Max. My usual order is the salad trio with Caesar, chicken, and seafood(it comes with a free roll or muffin). It’s $ 10.95 which is a steal because they really pile on high all of the salads! I can never finish it in one sitting. The only thing I don’t like about this place is the hours. They are only open for lunch. I wish it was open during dinner times because I find myself craving it often. In fact, writing this review makes me want some… I might just go get myself some tomorrow! You owe it to yourself to go out and try it!

Its a good place for lunch. I went there around 12:40 pm for lunch on a weekday and it was fairly packed. I tried the chicken and provolone sandwich and beef vegetable soup. Both were tasty and I enjoyed my lunch. Clean restaurant. Friendly server at the salad counter. Why not 5 stars? well, it is a bit pricier on a soup and sandwich deal — no drink. $ 10 total. Another issue — not the restaurant’s fault — the people who try to park here are ridiculous. Some take 2 spots, others dont know how to park. Hopefully it is not a regular thing.

I haven’t been back here for 16 years(I moved to Fort Worth) and was finally able to visit yesterday. It is so nostalgic for me. I love this place!!! It’s nothing fancy, no extensive menus, no white linen tablecloths or jazzy décor. However, the simplicity of it is what I am most impressed with. I love their Caesar salad, seafood salad, chicken salad, pasta salad and fruit salad. When you get a salad plate whether it is two, three, five or all 8, they pile it high. You really feel you are getting your monies worth. Then you need to add a little carrot and zucchini muffin. Let me tell you the muffin is so moist and yummy that it pairs perfect with the salad. Also, back in the day when I lived close by, I would come get their salads to take to parties or to cater business events. It is really awesome and clients loved it!!! Cheers to you Café Max! I love, love, love you and wished you would put a location in Fort Worth. I know just the spot!

This place is great to grab a cafeteria style lunch during a lunch break. The food is good and you get A LOT for the portion. The staff is pretty attentive and its usually pretty quiet and clean. Many different salads and pasta salads to try!

Must have been here at least three times for lunch, and not sure what it is, but we always wanted to come back here over other places. They give you so much, so be prepared. Love the fresh veggies and the pasta salad with chicken. If you want a lot of food, but healthy stuff, go here for the salads and soups.

This place is great. They had service issues years ago, but they got it together. Great salads, soups, sammies, and where else can you get quiche?

My less guilty restaurant when in need for somewhat healthier food. Must try their chicken salad, zucchini muffins, and cheesecake brownie. Delicious! Check their hours before arriving since the restaurant closes a bit early. However, they have a separate side for to-go only which closes late.

First off I’ve been trying to check this place out for years but never got the chance. The location is in the middle of buildings and next to a bridge. I had their half sandwich and salad. The sandwich was country ham and cheese, the salad was cucumber salad. The ham wasn’t great but the salad was better. I notice a lot were eating salads. This seems to a be a good place for local offices to come by for lunch. The price wasn’t too bad for the amount given.

Love this place. Generous portions. Quality food that doesn’t leave you feeling bad or guilty after eating it. You can feed two 4 for $ 20 bucks. I work at Americas Gold & Diamond in Richardson which is very close to their Campbell location. We order the triple salad plate and usually have enough left over for lunch the next day. Love the noodle salad and the chicken salad. The muffins serve as the cherry on top.

So my mom goes here for lunch every now and then and she brings me a chicken, Caesar, and pasta salad trio to go. The portions are massive. Like seriously, the trio lasts me 3 meals. All three of the salads have their own distinct tastes, and are quite heavily dressed/seasoned so if you don’t like that, this place isn’t for you. The Caesar salad is drenched in dressing, but the lettuce leaves still stay crispy(but the croutons don’t). I usually don’t like too much dressing on my salads, but I still love theirs. Great value and taste, but just because it’s salad doesn’t mean it’s healthy, so that would be the only«negative» here.

The hours are limited to lunch time. My choice and suggestion is to get the carry out and order the salad trio. You are in and out within minutes! You have several choices: chicken that contains apples, peppers and a light, sweet sauce; seafood, fruit medley, cucumber, Caesar, and I believe there’s a zucchini or squash salad. The cost ranges from 9.50 to 11.50 depending on your protein choice. The portion is massive. I can usually make 2 – 3 meals out of the trio. You also get your choice of a roll or muffin(carrot). I highly recommend the muffin over the roll! They also have a few dessert choices that I eye, but refrain from ordering 9 out of 10 times. No joke! I have tried the cheesecake brownie. Very yummy and rich.

The salads are GREAT! But the customer service on the To Go, side was very poor! The staff is very unfriendly, don’t smile, she just throw my bread in the bag with container. The cashier took my credit with no thank you and customer service skills. They all looked very upset to be at work. Again, the salads are awesome but, the staff could use a facelift!

Café Max is located in an office –industrial section of Richardson. Upon entering you will find a cafeteria type line where you will be served your order. The items available include eight salads, a couple of soups and sandwiches. The service is quick. After going through the line you pay for your meal and drink and you will be offered a cup cake or roll complimentary. I ordered the small Caesar salad as did my spouse and the salad was very large. If I had purchased the large salad it would have covered the entire plate. There are 7 more salads from which to choose and you can even get a sampler that includes a tasting of all eight salads. Soup and salads plus, quiche are available. The cost of soup and salad is $ 6.75 and the price for a quiche plate is $ 8.50. One half salad was $ 3.75.Sandwiches include Chicken & Provolone, Roast Beef & Cheddar, Ham & Swiss, Turkey & Cheddar and Italian Hoagie. There is also a fresh fruit plate. There is seating both inside and out. The inside of the restaurant is bright and clean. On a good weather day you might want to consider the outside seating. There are soft drinks available plus lemonade and two different teas. The green tea was excellent. You don’t have to clean your table as there is a bus boy that will come around to do that. This is a very nice clean restaurant. There is an open ceiling which does contribute to a little higher noise level, however it is not unbearable. They take credit cards. Located on a corner with the parking lot in the front and side will provide ample parking. Restrooms were clean. Only open M-F 11AM to 3PM. You can locate them on the internet at
