It’s been almost a year since my initial review, and it has only gotten better here at Eastside Richardson. Along with the great restaurants already here(Twisted Root, Russo’s, Panera, Chiloso, Urban Eats), two more have opened up, with two more on the way early this year: — Phở Crimson( ), on the Greenville Ave. side of the development) just opened in January 2014 and it is already a hit. The phở there is nothing short of spectacular, and their other dishes truly exceed expectation. If anyone is familiar with Phở Crimson in uptown Dallas(Blackburn Ave), the Richardson location is run by the same people, and it is just as excellent. — Where the former Kinado Sushi used to be has entered Kampong Asian Fusion( ), a Malaysian restaurant that boasts a large menu, including incredibly good sushi. — Mena’s Tex-Mex Grill( ) is opening their 2nd location here in Eastside. If anyone has patronized their Carrollton location, you know what wonderful Tex-Mex awaits for us here. — Finally, and possibly the most interesting and exciting new restaurant coming is Yoshi Shabu Shabu( ), a Japanese fondue place. I, for one, have never been exposed to Japanese fondue, but by all descriptions( ), it sounds amazing. Of course, in addition to the current and new restaurants, Eastside has one of the best 7-Elevens in DFW, and three excellent dessert shops in Yumilicious, Tiff’s Treats, and SweetMix. Conveniently located at the SE corner of Central Expressway and Campbell.
