Great lunch! Catfish and hush puppies were crispy and fresh. The coleslaw cold and fresh great flavor.

Went there last night on a whim. New place in the neighborhood to try! We ordered red beans and rice, two pounds of mudbugs and hush puppies. It was all delicious and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend it. The prices were fair and the service very attentive and pleasant.

Ate at this store for the first time tonite… NOTTHELASTTIME !! The fried shrimp is every bit as good as the S&D on McKinney… Catfish was excellent… the onion rings are the best in this part of the country… Only reason not 5 stars… frozen fries… not hand cut…

Not usually a fried fish type person but this place was alright for fried fish. Had the shrimp po boy. Wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever had but was decent. Had fresh ingredients and didn’t smell or taste fishy at all. Appears that they have a decent drink menu and good happy hour. I would go back and try some fish and chips when I’m feeling bit British one of these days.

We were so very disappointed! I don’t know what all the hype is about. The only thing that was okay was the beer and the shrimp cocktail. It was over spiced when I asked for no/light spice. The frog legs were horrible with a capital H! Worst! The fish taco –seriously they call that a fish taco! It’s a very poorly cornmeal crusted piece of fish that was so over fried and wrapped in a tortilla. No pico, no condiments, no salsa, nothing! Plain and dry! Spent over $ 40 dollars and nothing was edible! I must be missing something!

I count 7 flat screen televisions, all playing the Dallas Cowboy game, fourth quarter and they can’t turn the sound on. We are listening to easy listening. Air Supply, Bread and the soundtrack to Grease. Frustrating to say the least. However, the food is excellent, the beer is cold and the service is professional, courteous and stellar.

Love this food! Especially the blackened fish tacos and fried pickles. Favorite seafood in town!

Please do not eat the gumbo, it taste like mud from someplace other than Louisiana. I can’t imagine who came up with the recipe for this«mud», since the other items are spot on.

Another place that is getting a lot of buzz that seems undeserved to me. I ordered clam chowder and a fried oyster po’ boy. Both made me sad. The clam chowder was watery, not the creamy dream that I’m used to getting. Now, I just moved here from the east coast, so I know that the chowder is more of a thing back east, but you shouldn’t put it on the menu if you can’t make it properly. I was so disappointed. I almost gagged when I ate the fried oyster sandwich. The oysters were bitter and not clean. Gross. Aside from that, there just wasn’t a flavorful taste about anything we ordered. My daughter had the catfish po’ boy. It was just okay. The fries were blah. I liked the patio seating and the interior was nice. I found our cashier pretty rude, and part of our order was mixed up. Not a great experience overall. We won’t be returning.

I very likely would not come back here… there is just so much better in the area to try it again. I got the Mexican shrimp cocktail and the mild one and it was SO spicy and watery. I absolutely love the dish but Abuelos and Aw Shucks have this place so beat! Their two sizes also appear about the same amount of food, just different shaped containers.

I had the 2 catfish/4 shrimp basket. Very good size portions for $ 10.95. Excellent seasoning on the fish/shrimp. Not so much for the fries. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seating and a small patio. I look forward to trying additional items on the menu. I tried to go to Plano location once but the line was out the door. I’m glad there is a new spacious location in Richardson now. Enjoy!

We have been here once, and the old location in Plano many times. Glad to see them open this larger place, as I got tired of waiting in line in Plano, and sometimes it was hard to find a seat. While these are marks of a good restaurant, sometimes I just dont want the hassle. Well, now that problem is solved! Food here is very good. It was our go-to for gulf style seafood, unless we wanted to drop a lot of coin at the«deaux». We have other options in Richardson now, and they had won out due to original location being so busy, but this place is now back on the list.

Love that Fish Shack opened up in Richardson. I ordered the catfish basket with 3LARGE filets and onion rings. The batter on both the onion rings and catfish are very good and the catfish flakes deliciously. I also ordered a side cole slaw and this is the only thing that I would rethink. It tasted like chopped slaw greens and plain mayo. The beers are reasonably priced– under $ 4. This location is still relatively new, but I think it would be great if they could get the alert buzzers to let you know when your food is ready and not have the servers walking around calling out customers names. All in all, it’s a great place and that’s just me nit picking. I am going to go back again and again.

Loved first visit but second a different story. Fries cold and fish super greasy, has a layer of grease on bottom of tray. Fish Shack be careful, lot of locals won’t return.

I’m a fan of the Plano location. This location is just as good. I love their catfish. Battered and fried to perfection. Well seasoned. Their hush puppies are also outstanding. Fries are good, too. I’m not a big fan of their tartar sauce, runny and flavorless. This place is also very loud. It must be the space, this is the fifth restaurant I’ve been to in this location and they’ve all been crazy loud. I hope Fish Shack makes it in this cursed restaurant location.

My husband and I tried this place last night. It is in the old Soulmans BBQ place. The inside doesn’t look much different. It was very clean. We ordered the shrimp cocktail. It had a lot of shrimp. We ordered the large. Our only complaint is that it didn’t come with tortilla chips like most. We ate it with crackers. We had the 2 catfish and 4 shrimp. The portion size of the fish was large. It was enough for us to share. The beer was cold too. This is always a plus. The food was really good. We will be back.
