A friend recommended a book and then told me to go to Half Price Books to get it; I could get it for about $ 5. And he was right. The store is well organized, books easy to find and while I didn’t need assistance, was asked if I need any and saw assistance being given … how nice to shop at a store with customer service. Being a book-lover, I walked out with not only the book I was looking for but three other books I always had on my ‘I should check it out’ list; and with their prices, if I don’t like the book, no harm done. Great store and so glad that there are still book stores to visit …

This is a great location just off of Belt line and 75. Located in the shopping center by Alamo Draft House and Taco Joint, this store is in an up and coming area of town. The store is organized and open. I love that they have chairs scattered throughout the store. It makes it more comfortable to sit and wait while you sell your books or browse. I will be back.

We love this used book store chain. We used to go to the location off N Central Expressway and Campbell which has recently(in the last few months) relocated to N Central Expressway and Belt Line. Ever since they’ve moved I feel like there’s less of a selection. Less friendly staff and the parking is horrible in that center. I feel like employees are constantly walking past us, reaching over us to put more books on the shelf without really saying anything to us. I was excited when this location was moving because it’s now actually closer to my house and I do like that it’s much brighter inside but that’s about the only positive thing I have to say. It just seems like there’s less if everything and not as many choices. Because the parking is terrible, we go far less often.

Let me first say that I love half price books they’re a great company. I went into the new location and was immediately asked if I needed help which I did. He was helping another customer which was fine. He got on the phone and asked someone to come to the front and help. He looked up the books I needed and they happened to have all three! I also bought four records some classical and big band all for 50 cents each. 2 $ for 4 records and my three books all cost 16.24 $ now that’s an excellent value. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Great experience.

This is pretty nice store that they move here from Central and Campbell road store. Very clean and fresh wood smell with lots of good books and next to Indian supermarket and snack store call Taj Mahal imports, Alamo draft movie hall, Haystack burger and few other stores.
