To quote the legendary 70’s band Player ~ «Baby come back!» If I won the lotto one of my first objectives would be to get this place reopened just so I could get my Villa fix. While it might not have been the best pizza in everyone’s opinion, it was for me and for a lot of others around here as well! This place was and is a true Richardson/North Dallas landmark. I get a little misty eyed when I drive past the old place and see their unmistakable sign on the corner. It beckons me for something I can’t have. These are sad days indeed. I miss you Pizza Villa! Pleeeeeeeez reopen!!!

SImply amazing! Nothing else to be said. Best pizza anywhere. Once you try it; you will crave it. The crust is perfect. The cheese is just the right amount. No frills menu. They have it right. Pizza! There is a sub and a salad. It is so delish! If you don’t live in the area. It is worth the trip

Awesome thin crust pizza! I think I’ve gotten addicted. They layer on the sausage and it can be too much in my opinion, but it still tastes great.

Agree with most reviewers: great pizza and bare-bones, old-school atmosphere(in a good way). They are not skimpy with toppings or cheese, which is great, and the crust is just right: not too thick, not too thin. Pepperoni/sausage/jalapeño pie was a big hit and very affordable. However, I was glad I ordered take-out, because there didnt seem to be much A/C and the August temp was 100+ outside.

Best hole in the wall pizza place in dfw. They’re honest, simple, and to the point. The staff is family owned mostly and they pride themselves on customer service. The place may seem run down but their food is another story. Want it extra crispy? You got it. Totally affordable for the price of the pizzas as well.

I’ve been hearing about this great hole in the wall pizza joint for a while, so my husband and I decided to check it out. It is indeed a hole in the wall, which isn’t a bad thing. My first impression was the smokers hanging out outside the door and the dirty floor. The only background noise we heard was a couple(who I assumed works there) who were exchanging their phone to play and extremely loud video game. I felt like the staff could have cared less if we are there or not. The pizza came — mushroom and sausage. It had a crispy crust which I like, but a bit doughy. Not the best pizza ever, but also not the worst. Just so-so. If you like a thin crispy crust, I would suggest Olivella’s. I don’t think we will go back.

I’ve lived in DFW my whole life, 44 years, and hadn’t been here until tonight. It’s excellent. You talk about a hole in the wall! There are about a dozen booths, like five pictures total on the wall… of no one you’ve ever heard of except Zonk of Texas Rangers fan fame… the place is straight out of another era. Customers are clearly locals. Not a bunch of trendy hipsters. We ordered a large cheese pizza, dinner salad and one drink. Total was under 18 bucks. The pizza itself was $ 11.25. Very thin, crispy crust – and totally unique. I’ve had a lot of pizzas, and a lot with thin crust, but have never tasted a crust like this. Salad was good, the serving plentiful. Ingredients were standard iceberg, sliced tomatoes and croutons. But you’re not coming to Pizza Villa for the salad. And if you want a Coke, you’re out of luck. Pepsi? Nope. They have RC and diet RC. You don’t see those every day. Service was courteous if a little chilly. Definitely recommended and will be back.

WOW I have lived down the street from this gem for almost 21 years and just now discovered it. Quite possibly my favorite pizza place. It just tastes sooooo good! Got a large combo pizza. It was the perfect thickness and had the perfect amount of cheese and toppings on it. Ah I loved it. I will definitely be back! Also love all the size and topping options.

Cheap ingredients, super thin tasty crust, suspect dining room and friendly staff that don’t like to volunteer any info to new customers. I think I like it anyway.

Really like this place, and am disappointed that it took me 20+ years to visit for the first time!!! Oddly unique style of pizza. Not ‘New York’ style, nor Chicago, but it’s own Pizza Villa style. Really good stuff!!! Sausage, peperoni and cheese are always great. The crust is unique. All very addictive. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, you will see a number of regulars, as well as a number of people who have called in their order and pickup(also regulars). That says something right there… So does the neon pizza guy. Way cool! CASHONLY, which is sometimes a hassle, but worth the extra effort. I have their phone number of speed-dial and can easily order on my way home from the office and grab a couple of pies for dinner. Now if only they would open for Sunday lunch I might go three times per week.

Came here with the boyfriend(on his recommendation) after visiting the heena salon a couple of doors down and was not disappointed. It’s BYOB and has some awesome pizza. We ordered pepperoni and jalapenos and it was delivered hot and amazing. It’s a thinner, crispier crust, not too thick, not too thin. Just right… like the baby bear of pizzas. I don’t know how else to describe it other than amazing(how many times can I use the word? Ha.) and that I do plan on coming back.

In a 70’s strip of tiny shop greatest hits like «Sari palace», a vintage shoemaker sign, a vegetarian Indian place, Pizza Villa is another kitshy jewel in this unassuming crown that is about as charming and historic as Richardson gets. Spartan, and as electrically vacant as a sacred spot in an indy road trip movie, Pizza Villa is almost new wave in it’s strange minimal décor of an artsy movie set. Booths, and simple wood walls are flanked with two autographed photographs on one side and three on the other, one is missing, of mostly people I had never heard of, excpet for Christi Brinkley. This stop was Skip’s idea who orders his pizza half baked, and does the other half later when he gets home. I got a sandwich, which I heated up before work. The pizzas looked like Tostino’s freezer pizza, strange but comforting. As a matter of fact my sandwich might have been the inspiration for a Stouffer’s frozen pizza sandwich meal; tasty no frills Americana. «Can I have a smoke?» Skip asked the older pony tailed guy who seemed to be in charge. «Do you want me to set you on fire?»

The wonderful aroma of pizza fills the air as soon as you open the door of pizza villa. Their prices are a little higher than I’d like to pay for a pizza but my son loves it. He always orders either a small or medium pizza with sausage and pepperoni or beef. If you’d like to dine in I suggest calling in the order first because it takes about 15 minutes to cook a medium. The décor leaves much to be desired but it is what it is.

Best standard pizza in Richardson. So what is a standard pizza, you ask? When writing this review, I had to think what kind of pizza Pizza Villa provides. Not Italian, not New York style, certainly not Chicago. It’s just a standard, Americanized pizza. BUTITISDELICIOUS. And maybe because it is not trying to emulate any of the styles that people have strong allegiances to is why it is excellent. It is thin-ish, it has a delectable cracker crust that only gets crunchy at the end, you can taste sauce and cheese and toppings and they’re solid, but they’re not too fancy. Pizza Villa is just good, with no tricks or pizzazz(ha, pizza-azz). Order to go only. Do not eat in, or you will wait forever and have to stare at surly employees. Who are probably mad they aren’t eating the pizza.

It lives up to the hype. You can tell it’s going to be good as soon as you walk though the door. The aroma inside makes me drool just thinking about it. I’m kicking myself for not trying this place years ago. The sign out front looks like its from the 60’s and it damn well probably is, but that just affirms the staying power of this hole in the wall. Don’t let the location, sign, or anything else deter you from trying it. It’s unique and you’ll be glad you did. Well worth having to go pick it up and pay cash. Good stuff!

This totally looks like an old school mom-and-pop shop when you walk in. I half expected Chinese people to be making the pizza, considering the location, but it was an old white dude and his crew. Everything smelled so good we decided to order a second small for good measure(they are pretty small, and we two delicate females were pretty hongry). Tasted ok, but didn’t enjoy the sausage. In fact it rather ruined it for me because there was SO much of it. I actually felt pretty sick afterward but I don’t hold that against them because my stomach was being weird that whole week. Prices were very reasonable. I could probably be convinced fairly easily to give them another shot.
