Rainbow Connection Preschool

This is a really special place. My son has attended preschool here so far this year, and I struggle to put in to words how much he and I have loved it. This was my son’s first year in school and from the start, I loved how student-​focused the school was. Many preschools are focused on academics; this school is focused on developmentally appropriate activities for the students. Their day is centered around themes (i.e. Thankfulness in November) and structured play. My son’s teacher regularly posted photos to a Shutterfly site so we could see what they were working on and how much fun they were having. I knew from the beginning that my son’s teacher (and also the director and administrator) really KNEW my child and cared about him. The special events are personal and centered around the childrens’ work. I am having to look for a new school only because we are moving to the Keller area for my husband’s job, and so far I’m just not finding the same quality. I may be in the minority, but I don’t WANT my child being shuffled to Spanish class and Science class (with different teachers teaching them). I believe preschool should build a child’s confidence in listening to other adults (besides parents), learning how to take turns, sit quietly when the teacher is talking, etc. Rainbow Connection is that place! It may seem like a humble church-​based preschool without a lot of frills, but it surely is a diamond in this mom’s eyes!
