Whataburger

Went here a few days ago. They messed up my order. Took the survey online. Got a call from a manager Joanna, she was very nice. She gave me a free meal because of the misshap. This location is very friendly!!!

I’ve been coming to this Whataburger for years when I get the urge for a quick burger. They are almost always busy, which means a wait, but the food has always been good and the service acceptable. The exception with this (and other Whataburgers in the area) seem to be when I decide to order an apple or lemon pie. Tonight I ordered one of each for the family. When I got home — no pies, even though I paid for them. This happens 25−30% of the time it seems, so I usually ask to make sure they’re in the bag before I drive away. I forgot tonight. Now, I have to decide whether it’s worth a 3 mile drive on a cool, wet night back to the store for $ 2. It’s frustrating.

When it comes to ranking fast food places, Whataburger will always land in the number one spot for me. I might be bias due to the fact that I have been born and raised on it, but I cannot help myself.
Their burgers are actually cooked; their buns are buttered and warm; the Texas toast on their Patty Melt (one of my favorites) is to die for, and their service is always friendly and unbelievable.
I also would recommend their delicious chocolate shake.
A perk on top of all this is that their locations are open ²⁴⁄₇! I mean, c’mon, who doesn’t love that option.

This is a really busy location. I’ve always had fresh hot food here and about average (sometimes exceptional) service. My kids love the big cookies in the Kids meals, but I usually stay on the chicken side of the menu. They always have great tea! It’s still burgers and fries, but done really well.

I don’t normally write fast food reviews esp for a big chain like Whataburger. However, I was served a cold Whataburger with cheese. To their credit it was remade and was hot and juicy the way I like them.
I also watched my friend order, and then tell the cashier he wanted his well done. she had already closed the order, so she went back to the cooks and told them to make his well done, I could see the cook waving her off and saying something about the burgers being cooked already. Not what I expect from Whataburger.

Great whataburger, this one has gotten busier over the years. When the honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich was a limited item they uses to make it for me regardless. This is the whataburger to go to for any custom burgers you desire.

Good size burgers. Good fries. I always get the guacamole burger with jalapeños all the time it’s the best.

I’ve been going to this Whataburger for at least 15 years. Seriously. When I was in high school, my dad would offer to buy late-​night snacks if I would drive to pick them up.
Usually, my orders err on the side of about 85% correct. The fries are usually hot and usually not over-​cooked, but sometimes I get a bad batch. Our complicated late-​night weekend orders (several special order taquitos, a breakfast on a bun, a few orders of fries, dipping sauces, beverages, etc) are *usually* correct, but not always. My favorite Whataburger on Trinity Mills/​190 almost never messed the late-​night orders up, but this one here on Coit also seems busier, at least when I’m there.
By and large, I pass up the Whataburger on Coit and 190 (by the Walmart), even if I’m driving on the southbound side of the street, to come to this Whataburger. I know that they’re pretty consistent.
They did mess up our order the other day, and it’s probably the worst mess-​up we’ve encountered in the 6 months of living back in this area. If the worst mess-​up involves leaving out 2 orders of french fries, then that’s frustrating, but it could obviously be a LOT worse.
As with all Whataburgers, they have good Dr Pepper. Excellent syrup/​soda ratio!

I was just there 8÷20÷14 4:00pm and ordered a meal. Proceeded to get my drink and there was no carbonation. The cashier should have told me the fountain drinks are not working right now. I did not know that they knew so I told the manager or asst. manager, that the fountain drinks are not working she said yes we know. I told her that the cashier should have said that to me. The manager said we will refund you the money. I said OK expecting to get the money back for the drink but she refunded me the whole meal and said we will still cook your meal. NOW THAT’S CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would also like to say this is the third week in a row that the burger has been outstanding.

Food is good
But the wait is always eternal.
It’s like the land before time.
This Whataburger killed little foot.

I’ve had either 6 or 7 burgers at around 12 am in the last 65 days
Ive also eaten here during the day with no problem
Tonite I asked the man on the speaker to make sure it was hot as I keep getting cold burgers from them that are not made to order. He said ok, and 1 minute later gave me another cold burger!
I am not pleased.
They are never busy late at nite and am amazed they can’t get it right.

I lived in Richardson for 15 years and almost always got a smokin hot burger even though they were almost always busy.

I go to this Whataburger quite often since I attend UTD and work in the area. I have had few mistakes with my orders at this location and they seem to be much faster than the other locations in the area. My last visit to this location they forgot to give me cheese on my order which you actually pay $ 0.49 for. I know, it isn’t a drop in the bucket but its the principle! I sent them a quick note on their website about my experience and literally within 4 days I received a letter in the mail from their Regional Manager! They were so kind to send me a letter that quickly and they sent me cards for free burgers. I work in customer service so I know how important something this tiny is to a customer and truly it blew me away that a fast food chain did that. I would recommend this location and Whataburger to ANYONE! They truly are great quality and great customer service. I love that they made my experience better by making the situation right for their mistake, no matter how small it was.

For what it is, Whataburger is a really good place, especially if you’re going after a night out.
Their burgers are a small level above most other chains. Their chicken strip baskets are awesome (think Sonic but without the nausea). Fries are ok, not great but not terrible. They also have a pretty extensive breakfast menu, including the honey butter chicken biscuit, mmmmmm.
Price-​wise, they are a little bit more expensive than McDonald’s and such. Sometimes it’s worth it, but I wish they had a value menu, that’s my wheelhouse.

Really good food & fries!

For Fast food, you cant get any better… Burgers to order, Chicken Fingers with Texas toast and gravy andof course the famous Fancy Ketchup in its own dipping package. I crave Whataburger and you cannot get it outside of Texas… well at least not in Illinois.
