Best jalapeño kolaches! They use fresh peppers which gives better taste and heat. My kids love the chocolate sprinkle donuts. Very friendly staff.

First time going today! Great selection and everything tasted delicious! I wish the place was a little bigger so there was more room for seating. Great customer service! Friendly staff! Will definitely go back!

It’s been 52 minutes since I had my first donut from Zack’s and now I have secretly stashed a strawberry one for later. Really tasty, light, airy pillow perfection of heaven.

Mom and pop donuts are the only way to go. The best donuts come from places where family is the number one priority. That is the case here and customers are a part of that family.

We used to come here exclusively for donuts and do when it’s an crunch, but that being said they have lost their pride in their products over the years and the prices keep climbing. I go down the street and get bigger better donuts now.

Best donuts by far! We’ve had donuts from all over the metroplex but in my family’s opinion these are the BEST! Plus the staff are super courteous. My kids have been short a few bucks before and the owner let em have it on credit even though my kids were opposed to doing so the owner was adamant for them to take their items and pay next time which was awesome as most businesses do not do that anymore.

We stopped here on Sunday before heading to church. We walked in with low expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. My husband ordered three glazed donuts and I ordered a chocolate glazed and a regular glazed donut. We also ordered to large chocolate milks to wash it all down. The total was $ 6.14! I couldn’t believe how cheap that was for everything that we had purchased. The donuts were good and had a nice glaze to them. My chocolate glaze was tasty as well. For the price and the location, I could see us frequenting Zak’s Donuts more often!

Zak’s is a fantastic little place run by fantastic people. Affordable food, bright and happy store that makes me think of days gone by. Very old fashioned and accessible. Wish there were more places like Zak’s around.

They get extra points from me for using 100% vegetable oil for frying(says so on the window). That, and the donuts are tasty AND they have great baked muffins!!!

Donuts can mean many things for different people, and many things for one person depending on his age. I drop in here every so often on my way to work or on the off days where I wake up early enough to still make it. I like to keep it simple. Two plain cakes, and a coffee. Sometimes I go a little nuts and splurge on a fritter, or a chocolate donut. And let me tell you, I can’t say I remember any specific cake donut in my life that tasted better than these. They’re perfect cake donuts. The coffee on the other hand is so-so. I see old men chit chatting about whatever old people talk about. I see kids rambling their little mouths off to parents who are trying desperately to look like their intending. It’s a great place.

I’m sorry, I can’t give a donut shop a bad review. Okay, I could, but I have yet to have a donut shop give me a particularly poor experience. It’s donuts after all! Zak’s is up there. I used to come here a lot since this place is on the way to church from my parent’s house. I’d pick up a dozen donuts and bring them to sunday school and chow down on at least 4 of them. Good times. It’s been 10+ years since I’ve been back to Zak’s since I moved out of my parent’s house and on my own but I’ve been coming back because it’s near the local parts store I frequent(not Autozone). I went in there one day as they were closing down the shop and I’ve been on a buttermilk cake donut kick. I went in to get my fix and the owners were walking out. They saw me pull up and motioned for me to come in. «What would you like?» Me: «I’d just like a buttermilk.» «No problem. $.75. Here, I’ll give you two for $ 1. Makes it even.» Me: «Oooh, great! Thanks!» Do I recommend them? Of course. Are their donuts good? Absolutely.

DAMN… hot damn. There should be a warning label on the jalapeño sausage kolache. It should read«HELLNOWEDONOTREMOVETHESEEDSFROMTHEPEPPERS!» You could actually see the little buggers down in there. Yes, I went there again. This time was better. The donuts were just okay. We had an empty glazed pocket filled with goo of our choice and the aformentioned jalapeño kolache of death. I love spicy food. I laugh in the face of any salsa. And this kolache had me looking for a little more juice at the bottom of the bottle. Still, it was hot enough to overshadow the taste of anything else in the dough. Eventhough it was still much better than last time. They get the award for most improved.

The donuts are great. A loyal customer base here and a steady stream of people every morning.
