Original Dominick’s Pizza

Enjoying a great lunch break here today. all of the people that work there are always friendly and always give me a big smile when I come in. If you’re in the area and looking for a great pizza or cheese steak give them a try.

I used to go to their Newtown location as a kid and am happy I live close to their Richboro location now. I really like their Brooklyn pizza and vodka rigatoni dish and pizza. My family was also a fan of the Brooklyn pie and the kids loved the plain cheese. The Brooklyn pie crust was light and thin and the sauce had a nice sweetness to it. I will definitely be ordering from them again.
Also had their Margherita pizza is the past and it was also very tasty.

The appetizer portion is inconsistent. On one occasion the calamari fed two adults and two kids under the age of 5, this time the appetizer came out less than half the size and was finished of by just the kids. I ordered a medium rare burger and received a well done burger that was cut into already. I would have sent it back but the waitress was occupied by the only other table for the majority of the time. She was too busy with socializing to realize empty plates were sitting on the size of our table. The only saving grace of this place is their pizza on the other side of the restaurant.

The food is pretty much garbage. Taormina’s is like literally 2 minutes from this place and puts Dominick’s pizza, wings, and probably anything else they serve to absolute shame. Dominick’s excuse for «Philly Cheesesteaks» are the most disgusting things on earth. It’s not the worst place ever, but just can’t stand up to the other local competition. Also, the «bar» built into this place is such an afterthought, although if it’s competing with a sh** hole like Richboro Pub, it actually stands a chance.

Pretty average Italian food. The pizzas are above average, but the pasta dishes are below, hence making this place just unmemorable overall. The salad bar is just sad and the sauce isn’t that great. The sandwiches are completely one-​note and lack any sort of something to make them stand out from somewhere else.

This is another of those Unilocal doubles, that have more than one entry for the same business. The other, Original Dominick’s Pizza Shoppe, has a few more reviews. The confusion lies in the addresses. The number on the front door is 1045, the address for the «Pizza Shoppe» page. 1067 is given as the address for ODP, but that number is not on the door.

One of the best pizzeria chains of Bucks County, family owned for many years. Out and out pure Italian magnificence. The breadsticks are scrumptious, pizza has many fresh varieties, and beer is available by the bottle. I’ve been going here for almost 18 years. It never gets old.

My favorite cheesesteak is here at Dominick’s. That may sound crazy to other people from Philly who hop on the bandwagon for the more famous places like Pat’s or Gino’s or Steve’s or Jim’s, but I’ve been coming to Dominick’s for years, and I just can’t get enough of this place. Just to talk about the cheesesteak here, the meat is very finely chopped up, and they use American cheese with Amoroso rolls. It always comes out hot and fresh, but even if you put it in your refrigerator and eat it later, it is still good cold. They put a good amount of meat in your sandwich, and a good amount of cheese ratio so you can actually taste it.
Even forgetting about the cheesesteak here, the other food they have is really good. They have really crazy pizzas here you can get like Chicken Marsala Pizza, or Honey Mustard Chicken Pizza, or Buffalo Chicken, etc. The list goes on and it all is must try pizza. Fries here are very crispy and delicious. They also make good Chicken Parmesan here as well. Food quality is pretty solid all around. The pricing here is also relatively cheap compared to other places, so if you’re looking for a cheaper place, Dominick’s is that place.
99% of the times I’ve been here has been either for take-​out or delivery, so I can’t really tell you what eating at Dominick’s is like. The place is just an average place you’d go for an Italian Pizza shop. I know they have expanded in the past few years, but nevertheless, the food quality is still the same. Right in downtown Richboro, Dominick’s is a staple of the area, and my first stop when I’m in town.

I’ve never had a bad pizza from Dominic’s, and we’ve been buying pizza from here for years and years. My son absolutely loves their buffalo chicken option, and I’m crazy about their white broccoli and garlic version. They ave other variations to try, as well. Their wings are great, and their salads are good, as well. We never eat in, so can’t say much about wait service, etc. but every time we go in for order pick-​up, the place is full of customers.

The food is quite good, but they quite frequently get the orders wrong. They’ll put things in I didn’t request, or will put peppers or onions on things I specifically asked them not to. We’ve learned to check the order out very carefully before leaving the store to make sure it’s correct.

Trenton style or Brooklyn style are tops.
The register staff needs to learn to say thank you.

Cooks don’t know that grinder means to toast the hoagie.
When asked to heat it, they were rude and barely warmed it.
Got it back to work only to discover that it is dry despite me asking for oil & vinegar and mayo.
No love given to customers here.

Here is my issue. the pixxa is about a 6 out of 10, nothing spectacular, but it’ll do for a Friday night takeout. We recently used DOminicks to cater my sons birthday. We ordered 9 pies and picked them up. They were sone and ready by the time we icked them up. However, the girl who rang me up was rude. She pretty much threw my CC receipt at me, didn’t give me a pen, and kept talking to her coworker. I agree, not a big deal, but the kicker was when she never thanked me. Almost a $ 100 order, and not even a thank you?: Kinda odd if you ask me. With the wide selection of pizza joints in the area, I would think they would be nicer.

Throughout my childhood, I had always been subjected to eating sub par pizza from places like Pizza Hut and Domino’s. When Dominick’s Pizza moved into Richboro, I was anxious to give it a try.
Although their standard pizza is less than spectacular, their specialty slices are a cut above the rest. Chicken Marsala, Honey Mustard chicken, Buffalo chicken, cheese steak, potato skin, chicken parmigiana and ziti pizza slices are all available, and each one brings a new perspective to my perceived limitations of pizza. The specialty slices are fairly pricey, but when consumed, each slice seems equivalent to two slices of regular pizza. I cannot vouch for their other dishes, but they do serve an assortment of Italian dishes. The white pizza is also quite delicious.
Dominick’s always seems to be bustling, no matter the time of day. They seem to be almost overly staffed, so you will rarely have to wait for service. The cooks all seem to be Italians, which is appropriate for such an establishment. The owner is snooty, which is kind of a turn-​off. The employees at the Langhorne branch are much more pleasant.

Their regular pizza is among the worst in the area in my opinion, though still head and shoulders above most anything you’ll find in the city.
Where they shine is their specialty pizzas like buffalo chicken and potato skins, which are delicious, but are extremely expensive. 2 slices and a soda cost more than entire pies at most places. That’s pretty insane, but the fact that I’ll still get a couple every once in a while is a testament to the tastiness.
The employees (in the front area) are a bit testy and disinterested. I much prefer the location in Langhorne right at the entrance of the Frankford Hospital near the Oxford Valley Mall and Sesame Place. Friends concur.
If you’re high-​on-​the-​hog on pay day and are looking to splurge a bit, stop in. Otherwise, drive the 2 extra minutes to Munchies down the street on 2^nd Street Pike or Tony’s Place in Ivyland on Bristol Rd.
