First time trying Mediterranean food! We got sampler for one and falafel trio. We really loved the food! The owner(?) was very friendly and helped us decide sauces.

We ordered the sampler/combo for 2. Starting off with the appetizer. pita n hummus with falafel. It was amazing and actually too much of a portion for 2 people. Really enjoyed the kofta, lamb and chicken kababs. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the zesty lime on the chicken was a fresh touch. The rice was soft and tasty as well. Also tried the Egyptian Konafa which is subtle and not too sweet just the way I like it. Overall a great lil place with great staff…

Delicious food! It looks like a hole in the wall joint, but you can tell they put a lot of thought and love into the food. So good! Ask them for recommendations!

Heard about this place, the reviews were largely positive but my experience was only so-so. The food isn’t spectacular but it’s acceptable. We ordered 2 sandwiches — gyro and lamb. Both very sloppy to eat. It started oozing out soon after the first bite. I did like that there was ample tomato on the sandwiches so I could count almost a serving of veggies to the meat & carb meal. The lamb meat was tough and gritty so not the best quality. We also ordered the falafel trio which I thought was the best part of the meal. Crisp tasty and the dip matched the flavors well. My favorite was the spicy falafel. Would I come back? If there was a coupon, sure. But I wouldn’t pay full price for another sandwich based on this experience.

We had the chicken shwarma, Aida chicken and vanilla cannoli. The meat was well seasoned and tender. Amazing food… we will be back.

Had high hopes. It was nice and quiet(there early on a Sunday), the service was great, but the food was only good, not great. I’ll stick to Gyropolis in Bloomington.

Ordered falafel trio as an appetizer. That was good. For main course, we ordered beef shawarma, chicken shawarma and lamb kabob. Lamb kabobs tree was very good. Beef and chicken on shawarma were totally dried out and almost inedible. Rest of entrée was fine, but the meat is the main protein and was bad. Almost like it was precut and left to sit in a warmer. DRY! Place was clean and employees were friendly. If the meat wasn’t so dry, this would have easily received another star and a half.

Wish I had remained at work with the mediocre cafeteria food from the Sysco truck. I was hoping for some healthy Mediterranean/MidEast food, but not the case here.

Another stop on our Twin Cities shawarma search. It’s a small restaurant with limited parking and seating inside, but give it a try– either parking and seating karma will be on your side, or you can take it to go. We ordered the chicken and the beef shawarma sandwiches. The meat in each sandwich had great flavor. And the sandwiches were packed full– we made a big mess trying to eat them, but it was worth it. I only wish the meat came off the spit. The chunks were a little too big and some were kind of dry or chewy. I added an extra drizzle of tahini to the chicken sandwich to help it out a bit. We also had our fill of falafel. We took advantage of the Unilocal check-in bonus and got a free falafel mini trio to try. We also got falafel as our side for our sandwiches. The trio consists of one traditional falafel, one filled with cheese, and a spicy one. We couldn’t find the cheese in ours, but the original and«cheese» one both tasted great and had a nice texture(crunchy on the outside and tender inside). The spicy one had a nice kick to it. All of the flavors tasted great dipped in the tahini sauce. Finally, the staff are very friendly. We were promptly greeted at the counter, and the woman taking out order was very helpful. It is obvious that they place an emphasis on quality of service. There seemed to be a problem with some to-go orders that were placed right before we got there, and we observed them working through it with customers to make sure everything came out right. We will definitely come back to Aida!!!

Great food, wish the place was bigger, it’s a little cramped. Friendly people.

Another awesome little place smacked right in between Edina and Richfield. I had been craving Middle Eastern food for a while and Aida was skilled enough to hit the spot. Aida offers prices that are very affordable, contrary to most M.E. places that usually run you a pretty penny. And the place is very nicely decorated with an Egyptian theme floating through the place. As is usual with ethnic restaurants at off hours, we arrived to a completely deserted place. Good, as it’s a very small establishment and I can imagine it gets packed during peak hours. This gave us time to talk to our multi-tasking host about our possible options. First we started with a mini falafel trio, which has one plain, one spicy and one cheese falafel. All very complex and tasty, and they come with different sauces on the side. For the main entrée we had the Mediterranean Sampler — sized for 1 person apparently but it’s more than enough for 2(unless you can eat your own body weight in food). Boy oh boy what a feast. Talking went out the window. Picture two hungry cheetahs ravaging over a gazelle and that very well describes us eating our meal. The mix of flavors between the meats –gyro, falafel and kebabs — the rice, the hummus and baba ghanoush, pitas and sauces was just mouth watering(I started salivating as I wrote this). We almost had to call a tow truck to drag us out of there, as I felt my legs might succumb after this gorging. So when you come here, watch those portions !

We LOVED Aida! The falafel and baba ganoush were the best I’ve had. ever. It’s a casual atmosphere, so don’t go here if you want fancy service, but we really enjoyed our lunch here enormously. We had the falafel trio, shakshuka and grilled veggie entrée. Everything was done to perfection, nothing was greasy or unhealthy. I loved how the food was balanced– big portion of veggies, smaller of oily dips, and the smallest portion of fried stuff. Highly recommend!

I really love this place. Counter order, they bring your food, and you bus your table when you’re done. They are always the same people behind the counter, and they know what’s on their menu, which is always good. Portions are huge! You’ll be taking leftovers if you don’t split the entrée. I highly recommend chicken kabob and their falafel which is full of green(cilantro and parsley?), but there are lots of delicious things on the menu. Also, this was a crummy fast food restaurant before, so their successful repurposing of an awkward building gives them a sixth star in my book. ******

This is the little pearl in Richfield. I think they have a new ownership and chefs but still the same quality and reasonable price. They use very fresh items and it takes time to prepare them but it is worth to wait. It takes time because the food isn’t frozen or already processed. Start with a delicious lentil soup… Very good falafel. Great sauces like, humus, Baba Ganuj, yogurt. For the main course; Aida chicken kebab is yummy. Keep in mind Basboosa for the dessert. Very clean place and plenty of space for parking. Definitely coming back and already a regular here. Also; if you check in on Unilocal, they have free falafel sample plate.

First time here and it is located by my new job in Richfield. I used the Unilocal check-in and received 3 mini falafel balls for free. They have a lunch special for $ 5.99. I ordered Chicken Schwarma with Greek salad as my side. You could have chosen fries, rice or salad. The portion was a little smaller for the lunch special than the regular size chicken Schwarma. I was expecting thinly sliced chicken meat not overcooked dry chunks. The pita included pale tomatoes and lettuce with cucumber sauce. I just wasn’t overly impressed. The falafel balls were good. There was a regular, one stuffed with cheese and spicy. I did not like spicy one. The Greek salad was good. There was a help yourself water dispenser. I do not like when paying by credit card and there is a tip amount. I did leave $ 1.00. The counter worker only brought food to table. I might return but wasn’t overly impressed.

This location had the worst Taco Bell, which is kinda like saying it was the worst… well Taco Bell. Stopped at Aida for lunch, it is nice inside, clean, with flat screens for the menu, and the weather(bonus). The people were very nice, helpful and prompt. I ordered the lunch special, Gyro and choice of rice, falafel, salad and maybe something else, I got falafel and a drink. I didn’t have to wait at the counter, they brought it to the table, love that. The fountain drink was small, but refills were included. The falafel balls, two, were great, awesome, five stars. The gyro was very good, lots of meat. The only downside, the only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the gyro was a little wet or soggy. It was not too busy for 11:30 am, please go to Aida, it deserves to make it. The price was reasonable, about what Taco Bell would cost, but way better. I will be back.

I’ve been seeing this on Instagram so it’s been on my list for a while, and I ended up in the neighborhood and hungry. Perfect. It was about 3 pm so it was not busy at all. It’s a little building that looks like a fast food joint. Counter service. I ordered the shawarma salad(comes with beef and chicken) and I selected the spicy jalapeño sauce for my dressing. He listed several sauces and I panicked so I chose one randomly. Also when you check in via Unilocal you get a free falafel trio, so I took advantage of that situation. Food came out quick and was HUGE portions. I am a big eater and can easily throw back a huge ass salad but this one was too much for me. I ate a bunch of the meat and all the veggies and took the rest of the meat home and made 2MORE meals out of all the meat. No joke. The dressing was good and spicy. Falafels were great. The guy working was friendly. I will definitely come back!

Okay, so, hilariously, this building used to be some scuzzy Taco Bell. Thankfully, it has been cleaned up immensely. However, it still has that fast food joint seating and order at the counter style, so my fears of looking insane in my post-work-out-too-lazy-to-change outfit were unwarranted. Now for the important bit: the food! The lamb was outstanding. Succulent, well-seasoned, balanced, my gosh I didn’t even need the rice or vegetables. Just give me a plate piled full of this and I’ll have the happiest meat sweats later. Honestly, I can’t remember what everything else was like. My entire brain has been taken over by the memory of that meat. I’m drooling already. It seems to be a very popular place for take-out, and the take-out service looked pretty fast. I’ll definitely be trying that out in the future.
