Richfield Truck Stop Restaurant

Food can ok. But to many mistakes on the food. Won’t go back. Use to go there allot. Inside of hamburgers were RAW. Wrong sandwiches brought to us, told young waitress she didn’t do anything about it. To bad went there cause of close to home, no more.

Had the biscuits and gravy. Worst I have eaten in 25 years. Unless you want food poisoning stay away from this ecoli palace.

Good mom and pop truckstop. The food isn’t fancy but it’s good. I’ve always had good service here. I eat here often.

As an old high school and college haunt, I will always have a special place in my heart for the Richfield Truck Stop.
I can’t speak to most menu items, but what keeps me coming back is the Hash brown Omelet. A crispy pile of hash browns stuffed with cubes of ham and gooey cheese fills the entire plate. The coffee is drip and slightly toasted from the bottom of the pot, but it is amazing when you realize where you are and what you are eating.
I love fine dining and I love this too.
Fun fact: I love to purchase the giant truck warning stickers as gifts. Spontaneously combustable!

Really I’m giving this place 3 stars, just throwing a 4^th in there to bump them a little since some of the reviews I find a little unfair.
I was on my way back from Holy Hill and I guess my dad stops here a lot before starting the drive back to Chicago. Food was alright, nothing special. Wasn’t the best quality food but it is what it is. I had the Turkey Sourdough melt and that was pretty good. The melted on cheese was great. My mom had the pork chop and that was alright, just a grilled pork chip pretty much. My dad had the roast beef, I didn’t taste it at all but seemed like just slices of roast beef over mashed potatoes with gravy. Out waitress was nice, even gave us bigger water glasses when we said we all just wanted water. Fine place, just connected to a gas station which may be a little off putting.

I’m a truck driver. I parked at this trk stop and I was hungry. I went inside and ordered the chicken fried steak dinner, let me tell you that it was terrible, it tasted like a cardboard. Salty food pricy. Oh and the waitress was so rude. I said thank you to her several times and she never said anything. I will never go back to this dinner.

New ownership and food has improved! Great fish sandwich, real fish fry fish! Coleslaw is horrible but the chicken noodle soup made up for that, yummy! Waitresses are always friendly and some have been there for years! I also heard the cheeseburger soup would make anyone break off their diet!

It is what it is… truck drivers food. But if you want real dinning go to the Saw Mill Inn! Chili was good and the BBQ was ok. Staff is friendly.

The restaurant here is great. The food IA always good and the service is top notch.

This place is not the place to stop. Find a Mcdonald’s!
I had to go into the Professional drivers shower rooms to go to the ladies room. Eek…
The only redeeming thing here, was we needed a tail light bulb and they had it.
