XFINITY Store

The staff here is great. I will definitely go here instead of calling «customer service» from now on. I went in to exchange my box for the new X1 box and I actually walked away with a better (DVR) box and free DVR for a year. No trying to sneak unwanted extras, just good added value.
I did go in fully understanding that my monthly price was going up, since my first year was coming up. So, if you just want free/​cheap cable you will probably leave disappointed. But I’m sure this staff will do everything they can to bring the price down.
The reviews ranting about how crappy Comcast is are doing it in the wrong place. I agree, its all over priced, and its messed up how they have a monopoly on cable in Minneapolis. But, this store is actually useful!

I had low expectations based on the other reviews but I had a very positive experience when I visited the store yesterday around 10:30am. I had no wait and was able to exchange my failed wifi router for a new more powerful one in 10 minutes. The man who helped me was very friendly and professional. This experience made me think a little more positively about Comcast, which I generally dislike. Give this store a chance.

Bad customer service. No employees present! Hopefully I don’t regret my choice. Would rather drive to different location for better help.

Comcast is the worst business I have ever had to deal with. Everywhere we have moved, east coast to the west coast and here in Minneapolis. They are horrible worthless customer service. I have to give a star I wouldn’t give them any stars if I could.

I’m giving this store five stars, not based on Xfinity/​Comcast as a company because as a company they aren’t good to their customers and all they want is your money, but as a service center this one was very helpful. Ask for a Joe Brown, at least I think its Joe, but he was wonderful. He was more upset about the service I was getting than I was! He offered to not only fix it right away, but offer me a discount on my already promotional monthly payment. I thought going to the service center was going to ruin my day, but it made it better. Thank you for the great service and attention that day!

Worst customer service ever! Every customer service rep has a different answer from the next. They tell you anything to get you off the phone even if it is an out and out lie. I finally got so fed up I canceled and I wish I would have done it sooner! A $ 40 antenna gets me 20 channels. A $ 75 droid box gets me all my movies! Absolutely no more monthly fees, EVER! I am so much happier with my tv. Do you really want your kids watching that crap anyway? Save your money and have a special family night every week.

Worst image quality and customer service ever, I cannot wait to cancel the whole service, dealing with this company and their crappy service is the worst

The last several times we have watched on demand movies they hang up and kick us out. When we choose resume watching we get returned to the beginning and have to fast forward to the spot we left off. This is about the last straw. A service that costs so much need to work reliably.

I recently just cut the cable. I just watch broadcast TV off antenna and watch streaming. I actually don’t miss cableTV except for sports ESPN. Not worth $ 100/​month for that. I read that I’m not alone in canceling the TV part of Comcast.

Is every Comcast/​Xfinity outlet in the country bad with horrible for customer service. Check-​in on their touch pad and get ready to wait. I hope internet TV and Google destroys Comcast and their horrible service and high prices.

I brought in equipment I didn’t want. A month later I was charged for it. I’ve had to call Comcast about every bill do dispute wrongful charges. Just awful.

In my opinion the absolute worst company in the history of cable
This company sucks so bad they shouldn’t even be allowed to be in business. The bigger they get the worse they get. Not to be totally negative I do love Dish.

Went to Comcast to return some device they were charging me for that I was not using. I had unhooked it after they started charging $ 9.00 per month per TV. This was a device that was supposed to be free when it was first hooked up.
When I got to the service center in So ST. Paul at 1 p.m. It was closed for employee training. I was not going to drop in the box & hope that I would get credit for it. Now, I have drive over there again.

My experience with Comcast internet has been frustrating, especially since it is so darn expensive. Our service lags randomly, their automated payment systems dropped my account settings, thus missing a payment, and they charged more than $ 20 in late payments even though their system was the reason my auto pay was dropped. When I asked them to remove the late payments, as it wasn’t my fault that their system dropped me, they said they would but the charges were never removed. The worst part is that I pay nearly $ 70/​month for internet. They do not meet competitors prices, nor do they care if you change providers. It is no wonder that most ratings are 1 star and less. Shop around before you sign up for anything with Comcast.

Possibly the worst company to deal with ever! Overpriced monopoly with horrible customer service. DVR is glitchy and malfunctions. It takes them days to service problem while you pay for service you’re not receiving. Billing Department never issues credit until you call back at a later time. Their phone system is set up to make it as difficult as possible to get a person to speak to. Dread calling back for credit. Dread calling for anything! They seem like they are talking from a script. When the technology works, it’s fine, but it is very unreliable.

I wish I could give zero stars. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Constant problems and they always tell you it’s your fault or they blame the people who put your tv in/​set your internet up etc. Basically it is anyone fault but theirs. Like working with a brick wall. There is also this suspicious occurrence where my connection is faulty, I call, they say «one moment» and all of a sudden its perfect. If it takes 2 seconds to fix why is it always broken? Of course they still blame whoever originally set up my internet for this. Interesting though… my parents house in Arizona, my house in MN, and the last two places I have lived had all had «faulty wiring» according to Comcast. What a coincidence huh? Be on your toes! They’re always trying to cheat you in some way.

SO AWFUL! I finally switched to a slower internet speed with CenturyLink after 3 months of being tortured by Comcast’s absolutely disgraceful customer service structure (they kept telling me I would have to PAY A SUBSCRIPTION FEE just to access their customer service department! And they kept transferring me to what was obviously a call center in Southeast Asia to make the poor employees who barely spoke English deliver any bad news), being sent two cheap modems that didn’t work (which I paid to rent), being forced to drive to service center to pick up another replacement modem THAT ALSO DIDN’T WORK, and generally just being treated like dirt, like my time was not valuable, and like my money didn’t matter to them. I would rather not have internet than deal with this horrible company. After I cancelled my service, an outsourced customer service company contacted me about «special promotions» and I told them all the promotions in the world won’t make me come back because their customer service is a cruel joke. If they cared about having me as a customer they could have showed it during the 16+ interactions I had with them prior to cancelling.
TERRIBLE COMPANY! I am switching to US Internet as soon as the ground thaws and I can have fiber optic installed. They actually have real human beings here in Minnesota answering calls and emails.

They sent us a letter that said that we would be getting billed for a rental of a modem that we bought ourselves. It happened each time when we move or make some changes. It takes hours and hours on phone + a few visit to their office to resolve this issue. Even we showed receipts for our equipment (happily we bought it in Target and I saved receipts) they still trying to charge us rental fees. .
Be careful!

Xfinity is the WORST cable/​internet I have ever had. First of all, the cable box itself is glitchy. For example, if you are trying to navigate with the remote, your command will register as something completely different with the cable box. It’s ridiculous. My fiancé is always frustrated while using the Xfinity system. We have the fastest internet package, but on some days our Netflix won’t even stream in HD. We have so many complaints with Xfinity.

I Hate Comcast.
Unfortunately I live in one of those scenarios where Satellite is out of the question and I am forced to get service through Comcast. How this Monopoly has not been broken up in the Twin Cities baffles me. Anyone I talk to has had just as many terrible experiences and is just as unhappy with their over priced service.
Ok, now that I got that off my chest, this review is for the Service Center. Isn’t it strange how these little service centers are so sparse through out the metro and their signs are small and have poor visibility? This location is not well displayed but it is much bigger on the inside than it looks. They do provide multiple ipads, these are of course to sample different Comcast Services. There is also a couple different seating areas with leather couches and television, so it is more than comfortable. I usually have a chip on my shoulder when I come in these places, there is always a new problem with Comcast whether it be billing or technical in my experiences, (I am trying not to go on a tangent here:). This visit was because I had to exchange my cable box and dispute my bill. We recently moved and I canceled my service hoping I could have dish at my new condo, but unfortunately could not, I had to schedule an install and the technician brought a standard cable box when it was supposed to be HD. The billing issue was because I talked to probably 3 different people about the install before it finally took place and not once did anyone mention the install fees, here we go again Comcast. Luckily the person helping me was quite nice and I was in a good mood that day, she exchanged the box but wouldn’t make changes to the bill. I assumed there would be install fees, but I was angry that no one informed me, regardless I didn’t have the energy to ruin the nice day with a Comcast argument.
If you have to go to a Comcast Service Center you really don’t have a lot of choices, they are basically located in the 4 corners of the Metro area. My experience was alright here and if it weren’t for my bitter hatred to the company itself I might go 3 stars. If you do have some things to return or argue about then try out this location, at least you can keep yourself entertained while you wait.
