I went to Wood’s Nursery for the first time this past weekend. I had a lot of questions regarding what would fit best in my small back yard. I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of knowledge they offered and the variety of options I had to choose from. Truly a fun and insightful visit. I couldn’t have asked for more!

Great local nursery. Knowledgeable in both practical sense and more academic horticulture way. If I had the space and land, then I’d buy more here.

The best place in town to get a Christmas tree! A family tradition for many years, we enjoy Wood’s for our gardening needs

I love it here. They are extremely helpful here. I came in yesterday after stopping at a few other places and I received better service, they had more of a variety of plants, and the prices were better than the other 2 places. I showed them a picture of what I was trying to accomplish and they were able to accommodate. If they did not have the plant they were able to come up with a few suggestions that came close if not better to what I was looking for. I was able to get all the plants and rocks for the main flower bed I was working on along with getting flowers for the second flower bed in my budget.(the other places I would not have been able to do that). Laura is who helped me out. She also helped me out on a flower pot project that I had earlier this summer and again she was extremely helpful and very friendly for that as well. She is very knowledgeable on the flowers and what flower would work best if they do not have what you are looking for. I have several other flower beds/landscaping projects to do and this will be only place that I will go to for those projects from here on out.

Lived in our house for 30 years and needed to gut the landscaping and start fresh. Our front yard was overgrown with large dying trees and roots that were lifting our concrete drive and garage floor. We had them removed and were looking at stumps, torn up sod and yard/entry that were devoid of direct sunlight. I had no idea what I wanted, how to start or how much it would cost. The owner came to the house, sketched out ideas and gave me a target price to remove the stumps, repair/modify the sprinkler system, add smaller boulders, fill dirt, sod and lots of plants. I gulped, after all we were talking several thousand dollars. Decided to bite the bullet and go for it as we didn’t have the time or equipment to take on the project ourselves. Talk about labor! You should have seen the size of the roots the work crew dug out in order to make room for sprinklers and drip lines. In about a week, I had a beautiful new front yard and entryway, a new side yard parking area partially obscured by curb side plantings, and an entirely new whole yard sprinkler valving system(I asked for that after seeing what they could do!). All our neighbors loved it and want the same thing done in their yards. While the price seemed high at first, it quickly became apparent that most of it was heavy equipment and hard, sweaty, back breaking labor … the cost of plants was the least expensive part of the job. We loved it so much we had Wood’s come back the next fall and tackle our backyard. There will always be some infant mortality with plants. Woods replaced the few plants when they didn’t thrive and continue to answer our questions even 2 years later about care and feeding of the plants. The high energy owner enjoys his job and loves to create. Give him your ideas, and enjoy the ride(but keep your hands on the reins… creative geniuses are like little tornadoes!). We’re thrilled with the simple, easy to maintain oasis we’ve created! Thank you, Paul, Zane and the entire Wood’s Landscaping crew!

I had not been to this nursery before so I dropped by to pick up some grass seed(ummm…which ultimately turned into bird seed when I was done with it). I talked to one of the staff here, and they gave me a recommendation for the type of mix which would work for me as well as an amount which would be good for my lot. It’s been a week, I’m still waiting for my little grasslings to spring up — my fear is that in the wee hours, all the birds in the neighborhood drop by my crib to get their smörgåsbord on. We shall see.
