Fia Rua Irish Pub

First experience here was watching the Alabama Clemson game. Bar was super quiet and exactly what I was looking for. I had the lamb shanks and there so good! Beer selection is above and beyond. The second time I came I had the roast beef and spinach dip. Again the place was nice and quiet and I partook in some of their great beers. This will become my watering hole when I move to Richmond Hill and a place I will make sure and bring visitors to.

The bar has a surprisingly good beer selection of bottles as well as drafts. If you’re eating lunch or dinner, I recommend the reuben sandwich or the fish n chips.

Our favorite place in town! Great people and awesome drinks. We are here several times a month. Love the good times and good is good too. Wife likes the fishes n chips, I eat everything!

I only have three check-​ins here but I promise you, I’ve been here at least 30 times. You can join the Craic Head club which involves drinking one beer each from their list. Some are yummy, and some are down right gross… sorry, not a Budweiser fan! But there are nearly 70 beers on that list, which has made me open my mind to try new types of beer. The staff treats us like family; it’s that Cheers type of feeling when you walk in.
The food is also delicious. The fish is the best that I’ve eaten in town and possibly of anywhere I’ve ever been before. The reuben sliders are also great (and I’m not a fan of Reuben’s either which speaks volumes of their kitchen staff).
The place is tucked into the corner of the strip mall so if you’re not looking for it, you’ll pass right by so keep your eye out for this gem if you’re in town! Oh, and they sometimes have live music, darts, and trivia!

We’ve only been here once but here’s what I can say: the atmosphere is awesome (perfect pub vibe), the beer selection has a lot of interesting choices, and they make killer Bloody Mary’s (and we are major Bloody Mary snobs). My husband and I will be back for sure and are happy we found it. Oh, and the pricing was much better than drinks in other establishments in the area.

It’s kind of hidden, when we got there at 6pm it was a little empty by 7 it didn’t have an empty chair. I had a Stella and a Rueben and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked. My husband had the roast beef melt and raved about it, but we both agreed the Rueben was better. Service was pretty decent for only having 1 waitress and 1 bartender. It’s a great place to relax with friends and have a drink.

Great place to relax and drink some beers. Normal pub food on the menu. Live music later on. It is a date night staple for my wife and I.

We love Fia Rua! It’s a great place to come on a quiet night or with friends. It’s very much a neighborhood place where the bartenders and regulars know each other. They have a killer selection of beers and do a lot of education for people who want to get into beer drinking. The staff is really nice and helpful, even when it’s busy. Most of the food is good, but a few things are meh or hit or miss. Their spinach artichoke dip served in a bread bowl is my favorite.

Will never return! Entered with 7 friends for drinks after trivia. Served 6 of us and refused the last person. a 25year old woman with an updated Georgia I’d. Claim– the picture is too fuzzy. After much deliberation and obvious age verification, she was not served. NEXT we left to a bar down the street due to lack service and the workers were there telling the workers of this new bar that we all had legit id’s besides our before mentioned friend. After verification from our new bar of choice, AUGIES, we were served and satisfied! DON’T GO TO FIA RUA

01÷09÷14 — If you live in or have been to Savannah, you know there are a ton of Irish style pubs. What sets this one apart from all the others is location. Out of Savannah and tucked away in the Hill … great place to just grab a drink and relax.
My wife and I went on a date night and had a table in the corner while Annie Allman played guitar.
We only had drinks, so I can’t speak for the food side of things.

03÷14÷14 — update
Wife and I went back fro some drinks and this time she wanted a bite to eat. We got the app sampler. seemed simple enough. My wife is a vegetarian so I was to eat the boneless wings and we could share the rest. 1^st of all, the boneless wings are frozen Tyson Anytizers. Not great. 2^nd, the mac and cheese bites have bacon in them. No where does it say this on the menu. When we asked the bartender, sh said they don’t know what is in the food they serve. I am guess it’s because they don’t care or cause it all comes from the freezer section of Kroger.
Still ok for a pint, but knocking it down a few stars.

This place is a diamond in the rough. Being just a few miles off of I-​95 and a popular motel exit, Fia Rua has the feel of an authentic Irish pub with a twist of southern comfort.
The décor is a good replication of Irish pubs with dark wood trim everywhere, a few level changes in the floor plan, and a few nooks and crannies to complete the feel.
They have all the common Irish beers on tap and they know how to make any «black and _​_​_​_​» very well. They also have a decent selection of bottled domestic micro and macros, and the selection of Irish whiskeys is pretty good. No scotch in here though.
I went on a Tuesday night and it was kind of dead so I was well taken care of by the bartender, but I can’t say how the service is on a busy night. However, my bar tender Jeanette was awesome and she made my visit that much better.
So, if you’re a local or just passing through and want to avoid chain restaurants and bars definitely check this place out.

Great Irish pub with light pub snacks. It’s one of those places you want to keep a secret but also want your friends to come.
