I was so surprised to come across these reviews describing the same experiences I have had. I love their fabrics, but I am frequently ignored while the manager and others chat up the decorators whom they seem to know personally. I’m sure the decorators spend big bucks but that’s no reason to treat other customers as if they don’t exist. I just don’t get it. I can even be standing at the counter ready to make a purchase and they continue to have personal conversations with their buddies without even making eye contact with me. It’s very strange.

The first time I went in was by myself, just looking and touching and generally getting a feel for the shop. I did purchase something and let the staff know I’d be back. And I did come back, with my sister, her 10 year old son, and my mother less than two weeks later. We looked, touched, browsed and when it was time to ask a salesperson a question(in the discount room, my sister had a question on pricing) the salesperson standing not three feet away from her continued to have her conversation with another person about a deliveryman, completely ignoring us… Hello? Customer service? None to be had from that particular person. Don’t know her name but I will not be shopping there any more. The other person who cut our fabric selection was wonderful but it was a damn shame to be treated like a non-entity.

Artee has an excellent selection of fabric choices and Margie knows how to pull them together to create a stylish look that will please any customer. She has excellent taste, does a wonderful job with color and makes wonderful suggestions. From a re-upholstered sofa to chairs, recovered bar stools to window valances and custom and inexpensive pillows, the look was perfect for us. Service was superior and attentive. We can’t wait to work with them again. Give Artee a try for any residential or commercial design needs.

Chief designer Margie Liverman gave us an awesome facelift for the interior of our lake cottage at Smith Mountain Lake! Attentive to what we were seeking and building a design plan around that. She was creative while also recognizing that I like an under-stated look Easy to work with, flexiible and fun!

Exact same review as everyone else– amazing selection and great discount room but horrible customer service! The lack of acknowledgment that I was even there(for 15 minutes) turned me off so much that I walked out without even buying a single thing. The shop was very slow so I know it wasn’t that all of associates were busy– just too apathetic to even try to help a first time customer. I will not be going back.

They seem to have nice fabrics, and they had a large remnant selection when I went in. But I had the same experience as the others above. Bad customer service. I wandered around the store for a good twenty minutes and was never even acknowledged. I won’t go back unless I can’t find my fabric anywhere else.

Great selection of fabric. Very fresh and currant décor. Loved the discounted room. The low stars are because of poor customer service. It’s not very often that I am ignored and treated like a fungus. Won’t be going back because the service was shameful. After the third visit I realized that it wasn’t just an off day for them.

Artee used to be Printer’s Alley Fabrics. They have a nice selection on fabrics and also have a whole room of discounted fabric and remnants! I have to update my review… after going to Artee today and having a horrible experience, I have to say I will no longer shop there. First no one said hello. Then after waiting 5 mins for someone to ring me up, I went to find someone to help and found two staffers giggling and chatting up a customer. She seemed annoyed with me for interrupting and said someone would help me when they had a chance. When someone finally helped me they didn’t even say sorry for the wait. I have always been on the fence about this place since they always seem short staffed, but today was not a staff coverage problem, but a staff politeness problem.
