I highly recommend Dr. Holly Furlong for cupping and acupuncture treatment. Both are excellent ways to recover from surgery and sports related soreness/​injury/​tightness. It increased my recover time from post rotator/​labrum surgery. Dr. Furlong is extremely knowledgeable with nutrition, supplement, and overall wellness to help with the treatment process. You receive an overall assessment prior to each visit to address what is going on, which can sometimes be a moving target. Her thorough questions and active listening make for a great doctor /​patient partnership. My overall wellness has improved greatly since I began cupping and acupuncture with Dr. Furlong. I cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you!

I’ve been to several Chiropractors over the years and Back in Action is the best. I drive 30 minutes to go there for my appointments and would never dream of leaving. Dr. Berv is very knowledgeable, truly cares about his patients well being, and if funny! I highly recommend the cupping therapy to anyone with muscle issues. I played roller derby for years and always had something out of place. Dr. Berv gives great advice on supplements (and never tries to sell you them, but they do have them for sale there.)
They are great about getting my husband in for an appointment with his limited availability.
I am surprised at the comments about insurance coverage, the first time I went I was told my insurance probably wouldn’t cover the mini massage or cupping and I was told how much it would be. I think people need to take responsibility for knowing their insurance coverage themselves. The front desk staff has always been very polite and helpful. AND I have seen them with argumentative clients, they stayed polite and calm.
I have been adjusted by Dr. Moran who is very intuitive and professional. I also see Dr. Sawtag (I know I am spelling his name wrong and I am sorry), who is also professional, but more goofy and chatty. I know they just welcomed a new Chiropractor Dr. Furlong, but I have not had an adjustment by her yet.
I can’t recommend them enough!

I love going to this practice. They have always listened to what my complaint was and addressed the issue. I have been coming here for years and love the combination of chiropractic adjustment and then mini massage. I wish that my insurance would cover the mini massage and I thought that it did, but it only covers massage that is administered by the doctor. So you need to check what your insurance covers if you don’t want to pay out of pocket for the mini massage.
I have also had acupuncture and I was a skeptic at first, but I was having some serious muscle issues and it really helped me improve.
I highly recommend this group to anyone looking for a chiropractor. I did experience some of the billing issues that others described and got one bill 6 months after treatment. It seems these things have been corrected and every business has some issues, but the quality of the treatment keeps me coming back.

Dr. Berv and the Back in Action team have helped me make big changes to my health and lifestyle! I am 26 years old and have rheumatoid arthritis. I have always been very active– I danced and played every sport imaginable as a child and I still play volleyball, golf and enjoy yoga. When I was diagnosed in September 2013 after multiple bouts of bursitis, I was definitely taken aback and upset. I received two cortisone shots in six months, and was going to have a third in late February, when I learned about Back in Action. I was able to get an urgent appointment the same day with Dr. Berv for cupping and acupuncture, and felt immediate relief. He was kind enough to talk to my mom on the phone for a consult prior to my appointment (I was taking heavy medication at the time so she handled it for me!) and he laid out the details of a new patient appointment for us. I was able to get the same level of pain relief that I would have from another steroid shot, but with all natural methods and without having to take any drugs. I am currently only taking supplements (recommended by Dr. Berv), and have cut gluten almost entirely from my diet (also on his recommendation), and feel great– without taking biologics or pain pills. He truly cares about improving his patients’ overall well-​being and follows up, as opposed to a «one and done» method a lot of offices seem to use. He even sent me a text message that night to make sure I was feeling well after the initial treatment! I can not recommend this practice highly enough– all of the doctors and staff are great– it’s such a friendly, welcoming environment, and just puts you in a calm state of mind. Whether you see Dr. Berv, one of the other doctors for chiropractic or one of the massage therapists, you will leave feeling AMAZING!

Like the other review said, the best part about this practice is the integration of chiropractic and massage.
I workout all the time, and I wish I could come more often! Dr Berv also often has helpful advice on vitamins/​nutrition to support your health goals.

I’m very impressed with Dr. Moran at Back in Action. I have not met his partner Dr. Berv, yet, but he is actually the one who was recommended to me through my home (California) chiropractor’s network, so he’s no doubt excellent, too.
If you are looking for high quality, sensitive, specific, yet holistic structural adjusting, this is the place. Because both doctors have an extra year or two of training in sports chiropractic, they therefore check the health and alignment of the extremities as much as they do the spine, which is great for me.
Though Do. Moran is a young cuss, he’s handling the issues that are coming up with me as I near the halfway mark in my pregnancy like a champ. He’s clearly is meeting his life calling with this work because he seems absolutely made for chiropractic.
Another nice feature of their practice is that they recognize the importance of treating the soft tissue as well as the bones and as part of a regular adjustment, send you in for 10 – 15 minutes with a massage therapist with whom they discuss your case and tension patterns.
