Love this place! Cara was great kept the beers coming and who doesn’t love 6 dollar pizza? Yum!

I love this location! I come in + I feel like I am at home with the friendly + attentive staff. They don’t treat me like i’m a «paying customer» they treat me like a neighborhood regular. Logan always helps me when I come in + he already knows my order. I typically sit for about two to three hours doing work for my business + they never make me feel like im in the way. If you are looking for great food, kind people, a place to get some work done or for a work meeting this is the place to come.

Cara, our server, was great today! My friend and I had awesome omelettes. We had a really hard time choosing between flapjacks and oatmeal and the other options. Cara helped us make some great decisions. Bakers Crust is our go to for fresh salads, sandwiches and dessert.

Won a gift card to come here from a radio station and I must say I did not leave disappointed. Adjacent to the Carytown Kroger, there is plenty of dedicated parking, so barring a large event you should be able to park easily. The inside of the restaurant is very attractive and well-lit, with the dessert display one of the first things you see upon entering(definitely made me want to skip right to that part of the meal!). We were quickly seated and our server came to greet us. We opted for the beer cheese fries appetizer, and a gouda burger for me with a chicken sandwich for my friend. While I did not partake in drinks on this occasion, their draft menu was full of great local and seasonal options. The beer cheese fries were excellent and made for a great opening volley. When our orders arrived, they looked excellent, though both of us had requested no tomato/lettuce and both of those were still on the sandwiches. The server apologized and said they had new kitchen staff; in situations like this, there is rarely a way to determine if it’s the fault of the server or the kitchen. We said not to worry about it and that we would remove the unwanted ingredients ourselves and he offered us a complimentary dessert to make up for it. Honestly, I think most customers in this situation just want the mistake to be acknowledged(and remedied, if necessary), and our server did exactly that, kudos to him. I was very happy with my burger, it was delicious and the beef was probably some of the best I have had in Richmond. My friend was less impressed with her sandwich, though I did not try it so I couldn’t comment. Our dessert, the molten lava cake, was delicious and beautifully presented. Even if it had not been free, we would have had to go for it, it just looked too appealing in the dessert case not to. In the absence of a gift card and free dessert, this would have been a moderately pricey affair, so this place is best as a special occasion destination. It does a stellar job in that role though, and I would gladly return here to try some of their other unique items. Overall: 4.0 stars — — — — – Pros: — Excellent food from appetizer to dessert. Strongly recommend the beer cheese fries. — Polite and attentive service, definitely supports the upscale ambiance. — Interior is attractive and spacious, good for groups. — Parking is plentiful and close by in a private lot. Cons: — New kitchen staff may lead to order errors(or maybe service staff just pawning off their mistake on an easy scapegoat, who knows?)

FABULOUS Breakfast lunch and dinner joint at the top of Cary Street. Humble and unassuming, the Baker’s Crust packs an impressive Breakfast and Brunch menu! I was really really tempted by the fried chicken eggs benedict… But upon a rather philosophical discussion with the server, I opted for the Maryland omelette. Because, you can’t get fresh crab in Denver. Not really. And so I THOROUGHLY enjoyed my delicious omelette full of crab and broiled tomatoes, the righ amount of hollandaise and super crisp taters. YUM! The Coed had a decadent looking croissant sandwich with crispy bacon poking out. Neither of us left a morsel on the plate, and! I really appreciated the delicious Gluten free toast! Nice breakfast joint for the portfolio!

Just had a delish dessert/nightcap here. Our waiter Joe was great — super friendly and had good reco’s. Was not sure about ordering white chocolate coconut pie but sooooo glad I did. Hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. It was also wine Wednesday so got a bottle of wine for $ 13 — less than 2 glasses! Highly recommended this place!

What a cozy place for a weekend breakfast. The waitress was super friendly and patient with our group of five. If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss the Jamaican French toast. Their cappuccino was quite tasty. Their chicken & waffle(stolen from a friend’s plate) had the right sweet and salty combination.

My husband and I love this spot for a weekend dinner out. Service is always wonderful and the food is reliably good and fresh. Not to mention the warm cookie with ice cream dessert keeps this place at the top of our list!

The bruschetta with goat cheese, fig spread, prosciutto and balsamic glaze was absolutely delicious. If I hadn’t already ordered a meal, I would’ve just ordered another as my main course. The arugula on it — which I generally don’t like — didn’t detract at all from the flavor. The panini was very tasty — oven-roasted tomatoes, house-made mozzarella, basil pesto, and spinach on sourdough bread. The house made chips were fresh and a great addition. My friend had the shrimp & mango salad(grilled shrimp, mango, avocado, red onion, almonds, cranberry pear vinaigrette) said it was delicious. It really looked good and I would consider ordering it next time sans avocado. My son had — surprise! — mac and cheese. He ate almost all, so I guess it was good. He liked the fries as well. I had the noisette crêpe for dessert — Crêpe filled with hazelnut chocolate, toasted almonds and coconut. Served with Edy’s Vanilla Bean ice cream and whipped cream. The ice cream was overkill(which isn’t to say that I didn’t eat it!). My friend had the brownie sundae — hard to go wrong here. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Richmond or another city that has a Baker’s Crust location.

«The Fly’s» It pains me to write this review. I used to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Baker’s Crust and probably stopped in here at least twice a month. Over the last year or two they have made a lot of changes, and not for the good. Not sure if they are under new management, or what but last few visits haven’t been good. Servers are still great, but the food quality, menu options(they took 3 of my favorite things off the menu), and most importantly the cleanliness of the restaurant have really gone downhill. Today — I’m being attacked by flies, not one or two but LOTS of flies — several customers around my table complained. Food was okay, service was great, but the flies were worse than eating outside. Clean up, repair damaged furniture, call an exterminator or equip the tables with fly swatters, but do something about the mass amount of flies!

Baker’s Crust is a great place to go to if you’re in the mood for a chill but classy place to dine. I like the environment and the location in Carytown is nice! I’ve been here many times and each time has been good. This last time I went, I got the combo of Wine Country Salad and Chicken Avocado Panini. I love this salad! Has a great vinegrette with fruit and cheese with good greens. The panini was good, but not amazing. I wish they had more panini options! Overall awesome place to dine! Definitely go for brunch! Mimosas are ONLY $ 3!

This review applies to their catered breakfast. Had a large group of friends in town for the Monument Ave 10k and was concerned about finding a restaurant that could handle us during the brunch rush afterwards. Instead of going somewhere I had it catered to a friends house from Baker’s Crust. Called them up 2 days before and immediately got transferred to Alan. He was awesome! Immediately gave me good suggestions for the amount of people I had and recommended I save money on delivery by picking it up. Utensils and plates were provided with the breakfast! Now, onto the actual food. I got the following items Large Farmers casserole Large French Toast Large Patisserie Small fruit plate With ~16 people we hardly ate half of it, but it kept really well and we had an entire second meal out of it! The farmer’s casserole was incredible with a great mix of all the ingredients(get it with everything). Pineapple Zucchini muffins are so good even though they sound weird. Try it out!

This location is better than the one in short pump. The brunch is excellent. The menu options has something for everyone. The food is prepared well and everything taste great. The price to portion is reasonable depending on what you get. The staff are friendly and professional. My only problem is that I would like to see more menu items that doesn’t involve allergy foods such as diary or gluten. Overall, I must say, this place is as simple and good as it gets.

I have eaten here at least three times and have had great experiences each time. For a work week lunch, allow a little extra time, because the place can be very busy and occasionally a little show. I have also eaten here in the evenings and for weekend lunches when I’ve had more time to truly enjoy the meal. I also really enjoy being seated on the patio as it can occasionally get noisy in the main dining area. I have ordered the caprese bruschetta($ 6), Bianca wood fired pizza($ 11.50), chicken & cheddar sandwich($ 9.70), and numerous desserts including the wonderful crepes. I have yet to have a meal that I didn’t find thoroughly delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. The wonderful bread from the bakery is definitely a bonus, too. I plan to return to Baker’s Crust and would and have recommended eating here to a friend.

My bf and I came here for breakfast on our day off. Now I am a huge breakfast person, just call me Ron Swanson 2. Bakers crust has some really good variety of options, so they have something for everyone. I decided to get the mid-Atlantic omelet. The omelet had red peppers, onions and ham and it came with home fries and toast. The omelet was good, I wish the onions and peppers where a little bigger. One thing that kinda bothered me was that the toast wasn’t warm when it came out, it’s not a requirement just my pet peeve. My bf got their chicken and waffles. He loved it! To this day he still raves about them. I snuck a bite too and I kinda wish I got that. The waffle was fluffy and the chicken was moist and full of flavor. It was just awesome! I would definitely go back for breakfast. The service was good and fast. Plus if you go with a group they have many selections to choose from. Plus if you have never tried chicken and waffles get it!

Super yummy spot for any meal! I am a big fan of their brunch. A pretty casual spot right in Carytown. This time I had the waffle with Nutella and fresh strawberries on it, topped with whip cream and powdered sugar. It was a brunch special and certainly gave me a sugar high when I was done. They also had a special on mimosas for $ 3. The hash browns are great. They are more like breakfast potatoes. Bacon serving seemed small and came out in crumbled up pieces verses nice long strips. I have also had a burger here as well as dessert. The dessert case is simply to die for! Next time I think I want to try the chicken and waffles, was a little nervous as I have not done the chicken and waffles ANYWHERE before! I will let you all know what I think. STAYTUNED!

I’m surprised I haven’t eaten here before despite having been to Carytown multiple times! Baker’s Crust is located in the plaza at the 195 end of Carytown where the Kroger is. The restaurant is a lot bigger on the inside than it might appear from the outside. During the Saturday lunch hours that I visited, the restaurant was very busy, and I had to wait about 15 minutes. There is a separate enclosed waiting area upfront. The restaurant itself is very warm and earthly inside, with a wood-burning pizza oven visible in front. It reminded me a bit of a Macaroni Grill restaurant or Olive Garden’s interior, although a bit more sophisticated. In terms of service, I had one of the friendliest waitresses that I have ever experienced while dining out. Lauren S. was so approachable and down-to-earth, that I almost want to give this review 5 stars due to service alone! Apparently, there is brunch from 10AM-2PM on weekends, so I ordered a dish off the brunch menu. I ordered an Eggs Benedict Pizza, which was so creative/unique that I felt compelled to try it. It was delicious with lots of oozing egg yolk, and was much larger than I anticipated in size, so I had leftovers. I also ordered a bowl of the mushroom & brie soup, which was creamy and not bad. Prices overall were moderate, and the menu had a lot of different options. I had a great dining experience here, and would not hesitate to come back!
