I have been bowling here for about one year(bowling league), and this establishment need a lot of improvements. Starting with the staff, their unwillingness to learned their job is mind boggling. When you work as a bowling attendant, you have to be knowledgeable about the equipment, rules and bowling in general, but most employees there want to stay clueless. It’s very frustrating to conduct business with individuals that care so little about their job, they really need to revamp their management to keep it from collapsing. What’s really frustrating is that if you go to the Short Pump location, the staff there is completely opposite from the one in Midlothian. Short Pump management is knowledgeable on the game, the business and its clientele. So the problem is location based, rather than business based. in conclusion, Corporate need to take a closer look at their brand as a whole.

At first I thought this place would be legit for a group of military veterans. The place is really big but less tha 1⁄5 empty. There is no jukebox and play 80s music over and over. The bowling scores kept adding ghost players. The Pins were not resetting after each bowler. The two stars are for the chicken wings and burgers. Place needs a serious makeover.

We go to bowl regularly and at first planned on making this location the one we go to; service was great at first, around 10:30 noticed it started to clear out aside from us and one other couple — we asked then what time they closed(since employees starting closing duties) we were told 12:00am. We attempt to order another pitcher of beer at 10:45 but they have«already counted the register» — if your open until 12 then all of your services should be as well, good, drinks, alcohol. Etc. Due to lack of quality customer service, we won’t be coming back to this location!

Came here on a Tuesday night and it was ten bucks for unlimited games after 9pm. We had the first lane, which has some issues. Sometimes, one of us got a 3rd roll, and the person after would be robbed of one. It was a funky thing, but we didn’t complain to anyone and just kept on playing. They’ve got a lot of balls and ball sizes and it seems like this place always has bolwers and free lanes. I had fun and if I lived in the area, I’d come back!

A little older, a little more drab, but still a perfectly cromulent bowling facility. My son(s) and I have a standing bowling evening every Thursday and will normally hit the Bowl America in Short Pump but often that location will have some party or corporate engagement that takes up every lane. This is never a problem at the Midlothian location. We have our own shoes so the cost of the lane is never a problem. In fact, on our last visit here, we got to take advantage of the 2-for-$ 25 for unlimited bowling 6−9pm which I appreciated. And the staff is both friendly and helpful. And there are bowling balls, regulation lanes the ball rolls down, pins that fall over and are automatically picked up again, the ball is returned, and the score is automatically recorded. The rest is all window dressing. The fun is in the experience and this place still provides that. And maybe just a little bit of nostalgia.

In a world of germs, bacteria, filth, and communal disease… Bowl America stands above the rest. Not because it’s cleaner, because trust me it’s not. Only because it’s cheaper than the competition, practically empty despite it’s 50 lanes, and has great deals like unlimited games and shoes for up to 6 people for $ 25!!! You can’t beat that. The place is outdated, but they offer all the necessary ammenities, and unlike the other bowling alley near Westchester Commons, this place actually has a good amount of house balls to choose from. Beer is overpriced at $ 13.50/pitcher and I really don’t like the little 7oz glasses they hand you with pitchers. Give me a real pint, and give me a decent price. It’s only Miller Lite after all… have a heart for pour economy. I’ll definitely return to this place, we had a great time, even if we did need to be sterilized upon leaving.

Very expensive for the experience. Food is disgusting and the bathrooms are horrible. Go twosy prior to bowling here because the bathroom will make you vomit. Overall a very outdated place. Needs upgrades everywhere. As expensive as it is you would assume that would occur. The shoe size selection is great and the people working there would get a five. The overall experience though is a 2 for me
