I have always loved visiting Braman. With their unique, rustic atmosphere and delicious wine selection, it makes for a fun GNO or afternoon/evening of relaxing. They do not provide food, but have a selection of crackers and cheese to pair with your wine, plus I don’t think they mind if you order food into the winery, but you might want to check on that first. We lost a family member last week and wanted to hold the the post-funeral reception at the winery. The funeral was held on Monday, which is one of the two days that the winery is closed. I reached out to the owner, Cassie, explaining our situation, and asking if an exception could be made to accommodate us since the winery would be closed that day. She immediately responded, reached out to find employees willing to come in and work the few hours the reception would be held, and accommodated us in anyway we needed. Braman winery is not only selling a great product, but they’re providing a love for their customers and community. As a friend of mine and I sat at the reception we discussed how Braman will now be our go-to location for showers, birthday parties, and any other occasion where we will need a private location, or simply a location to gather and celebrate. Braman Winery is actually expanding as they are building an enormous building next to their current location. We are very excited to see what they have coming.

Cute winery and they have lots of tables for you to sit and enjoy your wine there. The girl working there said you can bring food and beer in. Beer costs $ 10. They have happy hour from 4 – 6 I think. I was charged full price for my first glass at 4:15 and the girl wasn’t even sure if they had HH on a Friday. She checked and yes they do and said wine was 20% off. I think. Hmm… I probably should of been offered something since she made a mistake on my first glass but nothing was said or offered. That’s the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. They have live music as well and a gift shop. She also said they are expanding so more to come like an outside patio.

I adore this place! Probably one of the best kept secrets in the Houston area. The atmosphere is very laid back. Most weekends they have live acoustic music. So far I haven’t heard a singer that I don’t like. They also have open mic nights and several performers are great! They have several different options for wine, including some really unique champagnes. My favorite is the sweet red. The prices are very reasonable; I usually buy a bottle with my friends, the sweet red is only $ 15. People can also bring beer in, it’s a $ 10 charge. They also have a collection of nice cheeses available for purchase.

We love this winery! They have open mic night on Wednesdays which gets rowdy sometimes! It’s fun and entertaining. There wine is all very good and affordable! They offer cheese, crackers, and a few other small items to munch on. I heard they are building a new bigger building by next year that’s tripling in size. We can’t wait! They also have you check out on iPads, great way to integrate technology.

I love this place. It’s laid back. The bartenders are friendly. The live music is good and eclectic. To me, it feels more like a coffee house than a wine bar(except much louder). There’s a few tables but the best seats are the couch area with the coffee table. It’s so comfy and there are travel magazines you can read to keep you entertained while listening to the live music. There’s also some shopping and browsing to do for wine gifts and knick knacks. For non wine drinkers, they sell sparkling water(yes!), sodas and snacks like cheese and sausage and chips. You can also bring your own food from outside so you can have a little indoor picnic. They only open til about 11 on Saturdays and their wine prices are very reasonable. I think they also have happy hour during the week. We usually come here about once a month and it’s well worth the drive from Sugar Land.

We visited Braman Winery one evening for a couple glasses of wine. I’m not sure how accurate it is to describe it as a «winery.» I’m not sure how much manufacturing or cultivating is done on site. It’s more of a wine bar. The employees were nice and helpful and the wine was average tasting compared to similarly-situated wines in the same price range. It had a cozy atmosphere and acoustic guitarists/singers performing on a small stage.

Zipped right by it, had seen it advertised and there is a large sign stating Somerset and below the signage is Braman Wine served here. Only one staff person behind the bar and no other staff present. She answered a few of my questions about where the grapes were coming from, etc. Am not a wine snob but she appeared to be bored and would rather I go away, she is not a candidate for any type of sales position. Slow day for a Saturday, the staff person gave us the wine list, 4 of the wines I wanted to taste she explained would not arrive until the spring, why are they on the list? The wine tasting was reasonable, $ 10 for 5 wines, the stemware was only one glass, whether you tried a white, red or sparkling wine, no swishing and spitting. No port. Found the wine bitter except for the M10 Meritage,($ 30 a bottle) wine should not be hard to drink! Small gifts in their dimly lit boutique, purchased a little book about hot toddies so not a total waste of my time. Disappointed but I would go back for a do over. Can eat my Nachos with Charles Shaw and his Two Buck Chuck anytime!

This place is cool. But the wine sucks. I ordered flights of the expensive stuff. Just don’t go here unless your a bored housewife with disposable income.

I have been here several times and always have a really good time. I’m giving it five stars because it is the coolest place in the area by far. The folks are extremely friendly, and it is a great place to meet real and regular people. We have needed something like this out here for the less crusty among us. They have large and small tables, sofas, conversation pits and lounge chairs. Although it is called a winery or tasting room, which it certainly can be, it is really a pretty high end bar, often with live music. Braman apparently produces their own wine, and since I’m a pretty experienced wine drinker, I’ve learned to be very afraid of «local» Texas wines. Well, the science of wine-making has apparently improved dramatically. They have wines that run the gamut from dry to sweet, red and white and even Mimosa’s. I have had«flights»(not fights) there several times and tasted them all and there ain’t one clunker in the bunch. I can and do enjoy the best of pretty much any type of wine, and they sure have great versions of pretty much every category. I really don’t see how they do it. Especially at their prices. I’ve been to Fredricksburg and the hill country on tasting trips to the competition and frankly half of that stuff will make you want to make a face if not spit it out. They have some cheeses and sausages and such if you are snacky. But don’t expect dinner(though sometimes they put out quite a spread of top notch catered food on special occasions, I just never do get on line to figure out when it’s happening. In case you don’t know Richmond, the location on F.M. 359 is in the«high end» demographically, so the crowd is pretty great. There is a singer there, that actually works there as some type of manager, but he’s about the best bar singer you have ever heard(reminds me of «Piano Man» lyrics«Man what are you doing here?») Not country, but folk, pop, ballads, classic rock(soft rock), and some really current stuff you’ve probably never heard. It usually isn’t that busy, so it is easy to feel comfortable and relaxed, and they really make you feel welcome. It’s kind of like the Cheers bar from TV in that way. Last night, on Valentines day, it was packed, which I hadn’t seen before.

A couple of friends and I went out for a girls’ evening on Sunday night, and had an absolutely splendid time. We did a tasting($ 10 for 5 wines), and I ended up walking out with 6 bottles to go. We also had a lovely bit of cheese and crackers. Altogether, I spent less than $ 85, which is an excellent deal as far as I’m concerned. And the wines I bought are quite tasty, especially for such a reasonable price. Although the tasting says its only 5 wines, the wonderful bar tender insisted we try out some more she thought we’d like, so we really got more like 7 or 8. The only low point was that they were out of port, so we couldn’t get a sample of it. They had a couple of specials, but the one I remember was $ 4 mimosas. We plan on making it a monthly habit, and a good habit it will be.

I had high hopes for this place but they still need a bit of work. This is right down the block from where my folks live, therefore very convenient for my folks and I to grab a glass of wine before or after dinner, etc. Upon entering I was immediately turned off by the carpet. I wasn’t expecting that at all. There is a small stage area in the corner with a musician playing acoustic tunes, which is a nice touch. The music was very loud, which tells me maybe the carpet stayed there for sound absorption. Another thing that was odd was the lighting. A dimmer could have done wonders for this space. Between the carpet and the bad lighting, the atmosphere sadly reminded me of a doctor’s office. There was only 1 girl working at the bar. She was very nice and attentive, however I wonder what she does when she needs to check on something around the place or even take a restroom break. There are various seating arrangements around the room. Couches facing each other, large pub height tables, etc. While we were there a small group was gathering for a birthday celebration. The wine was very delicious and well priced! My folks and I shared a bottle for $ 15. With a few improvements this place could really succeed, as something like this is much needed in this neighborhood.
