Catalina n her daughter r amazing! Had my touch up done couple months ago, this time I decided to redo the whole process, from whole blonde to ombré. Catalina is so professional n she worked on all the details too!

Hadn’t had a haircut by a professional in over a year-​usually I cut it myself because I’m not happy with what the stylist did, and I don’t like spending too much money to feel not satisfied.
Gave Catalina a chance after seeing her great Unilocal reviews, and was not disappointed. They got me in the same day (though were very busy so I had to wait a bit), she was quick and great! I didn’t even really have a firm idea of what I wanted but she helped me to figure out what would look good. I haven’t had a haircut this good in years, and considering the price, was very happy. Will definitely be back.

Catalina and her daughter are amazing at what they do. I came in as a walk in and needed hair color and highlights in very short time notice before my graduation. They did an outstanding job in a short time notice. I also needed my makeup done for my graduation and they got me set up and pretty for my graduation. I just love coming here to get my hair and makeup done. They are very welcoming, and sweet. They’ve helped my hair so much when it was damaged. Now I’ve got strong beautiful hair thanks to Catalina. Rocia did my eyebrows and they were perfect. So I just wanted to let everyone know this is. The best place to come get your hair done. I highly recommend Catalina’s hair salon.

I’ve been coming to Catalina for 4 months now, each time bringing her a different photo for styling my short hair. Each time she and her daughter have provided a warm welcome. Catalina spends time thoroughly crafting each haircut, and always asks for my feedback before finishing the cut — something I’ve never had any other hairstylist do, but have greatly appreciated! She is very skilled and all of the haircuts have been adapted for my hair type while still retaining the look I wanted from the photos I brought. On top of all this, she offers a great haircut at an affordable price! As a non-​profit worker I thought I could never afford short hair, and I am so thankful to live near Catalina’s.

This place is ok. Price is good. But they are so rough with their hands I felt my scalp throbbing as they washed my hair out — ouch!

Took my daughter here for her first hair cut. Staff was polite and welcoming. I made an appointment, we arrived early and the stylist was able to start before our time which was great. The place is clean and up to date. My daughter loved her hair cut so it was a great experience. Definitely will be coming back so we both can get our hair done

Catalina is the best. She has over 30 years of experience. Never been dissatisfied. She is very professional and knowledgeable. She always gives great advice and tips on how to improve your hair design.

I absolutely love Catalina and her daughter Rocio. I’ve been coming to them since I was 12, wouldn’t change salons for the world. And they have the best customer service ever.

They DO NOT know what they are doing. They said they tone my hair down but it turned it to a red color, when i was supposed to be a honey blonde. And it did not match anything I said. I saw another client that was getting peek a boos and she could not see the back of her head, if she did she would totally be disappointed., it was choppy and you can see the orange streaks at the roots then blonde at the bottom. But she can’t tell since it’s behind her head. After I saw that while getting my hair done, I was afraid. I still paid $ 125 +$ 20 tip. But. I called back the next day to tell them to fix it. Left a voice message and everything. And they still haven’t called me back. ASIAN HAIR BEWARE… Never again. Going to go to a REAL professional. I went to one right after, and they said how did it even get to red. I had no idea…

Tried this place and am super happy with the haircut I got from Catalina.
Friendly and casual atmosphere, great service, very reasonable price, and Catalina really knows what she’s doing. I’ll be getting my hair cut here regularly from now on.

I travel from Fremont to get my hair done by Catalina! She does an amazing job of taking the look you describe and making it even better than you envisioned. Her eye for color is astounding and she keeps it affordable! With Rocio waxing, my eyebrows have never looked better! The salon is clean and inviting with friendly staff and customers.

This place is a find. Really affordable, really friendly, and my highlights and cut were beautifully done. I am new to the area and had no idea where to go to get my hair done but this is definitely where I’m going from now on!

Catalina did an awesome job. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I don’t know why Unilocal gives it $$$ — its very reasonably priced; it was only $ 30 for haircut, shampoo, and blow dry.

I just have to say I have never really used Unilocal but I am so glad that I did. I was looking for a new hair stylist because the people I have seen in the past are just not what I want messing with my hair. I read all of the positive feedback and even after being discouraged by friends recommending other locations I decided to go with my gut. When I called in to book my appointment Catalina was very nice and helpful letting me know the prices and answering the questions I had. I made my appointment for 4pm. Around about 3:15pm I received a call from her Daughter Rocio letting me know she had gotten a little backed up and asked if I would like to just come a bit later so I wouldn’t have to sit around I appreciated the thought. When I got there around 4:15 I was greeted very friendly and notices it was a beautiful and clean salon. I’d say the wash, cut, and blow out took about 45mins I was running late for work but so be it. We finished up and I was in love with my hair although now in a rush (lol). I’m picky about everything its my OCD but she made me happy and sorry to say that is a hard task. She was just all around very attentive and you could tell she was knowledgeable and obviously talented I will most definitely be going back to see her again and I will also be recommending her to any and everyone! she is the best at what she does… You can tell she know exactly what you need. The BEST place to have your hair done. She sells the best products.

This lady has mad skills. She’s the only person I’ve ever let touch my hair for coloring, highlights, straighting, thinning-​out, waxing and cutting. She runs a Salon out one of her homes. Its not all fancy but it gets the job done. She works on all types of hair no matter what ethnicity. Sells the best products at the best prices. Its a family owned shop that has been in business for over twenty years and I recommend them to anyone who wants to get a make-​over and change there look.
