I used to go in Charming Charlie all of the time. Even though I only own one or two pieces from the store, it is still fun to poke my head in from time to time. I actually hadn’t been to Regency in quite some time before this week and I wanted to see what the good old CC had to offer. I love the boutique-y feel of the store and what surprised me the most is that the clothes are pretty cute! I would never have thought that a store like Charming Charlie would have nice dresses and tops but they do! I saw a few things that I would have bought had I needed to add something to my wardrobe. Next time I need a unique dress or top I will most definitely keep Charming Charlie in the back of my mind.

My first Charming Charlie experience was in Phoenix. My mom went WILD in there! This is really the perfect place to accessorize your look with inexpensive necklaces, bracelets, earrings, scarves, purses and hats. They also have a small selection of clothing and shoes, but accessories are their thing, and everything is separated according to color, which makes it very easy to go in and get what you want for your particular outfit. I was SO glad when Richmond got its own Charming Charlie!

I guess Charming Charlie is a new national chain, but I’ve never seen it before until one recently opened in Regency Square Mall. Although this store does sell apparel, I think of it mainly as an accessories store, because that’s mostly what the inventory is. You’ll find tons of jewelry, some purses, shoes and a little bit of apparel organized by color, including bright tones and neutrals throughout the store. I made my fist stop in when I was looking for some green jewelry to wear to a St. Patrick’s Day party. Luckly, there was a whole section of green. I picked up some India-inspired bangles that were silver and green, and a pair of dangly earrings. Each item cost less than $ 10, and I’m sure I’ll wear them both again. In fact, I saw very few jewelry pieces that cost more than $ 15 on my shopping trip. Because of the many color variations, this is the perfect place to go when you are looking for a piece of jewelry to complete an outfit. You’ll often find the same piece in numerous colors throughout the store. My only complaint: the stuff here is definitely mass produced and it’s nothing super distinctive. As a result, I’m rarely too interested in the clothes, especially since they aren’t the best quality. But hey, you get what you pay for. And this is the place to get fun, trendy jewelry when you don’t want to pay a lot.

Charming Charlie is a new store in Regency Mall, and it’s hard to walk by without stepping inside… it’s organized by color, and has clothing and accessories, all adorable and chic and colorful and very chic… It reminds me a bit of Miami, if Miami were here in Richmond… If you are shopping for an upcoming vacation, or looking for something unique and glamorous and easy to wear, this is the place to go. They have slouchy bags in every color, plus giraffe print, large bohemian earrings and the most adorable headbands… And their prices are so reasonable! Fun espadrilles and peep toe heels for $ 40? Unreal. Go check it out. If you are looking to treat yourself a little bit, or legitimately need new clothes for a beach weekend or vacation, they’ve got what you need. Oh PS– they got 4 stars because they don’t carry a ton of sizes… but they carry so many accessories that even if you are too short for their dresses(like I am) you can still clean house here.
