Every time I come here, I get a waiter who is really slow and rude. One time, my friend’s food came about 30 min late(when there were no other customers) and cold so it was obviously forgotten when it was actually ready. We had leftovers so we asked for a box two times to our waiter, and one time to someone else’s waiter. We never got our box so we just left after we paid the check. We paid exact change in cash because we knew our waiter was going to take forever.

Not even one star. I’m extremely disappointed in my service here. I came here for cinco de mayo and ordered a «rare» steak. When the waitress brought the dish to the table she told me that they were«not allowed to serve steaks more rare than medium well.» I talked to the manager and she informed me that, that was in fact a lie and that the waitress probably just put the order in wrong. The waitress basically lied to me about my order. If I had known about this fake rule I would have ordered pasta instead. The manager gave us $ 5 coupons for our next order which I didn’t think was subsequent since the meal was over $ 23 and the margaritas alone were $ 7(they did not honor the cinco de mayo specials at this location and the table next to me complained about this as well). Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience here and would rather not come back again. Next time you’re craving inauthentic Mexican food maybe Taco Bell would treat you better.

We went here a couple days after the big snow storm. They were out of a lot of items because their truck hadn’t arrived. We had to explain to the waitress why they shouldn’t charge for a replacement side if they don’t have the original side in stock. Seems like common sense. We got two strawberry margaritas which were fine, however we were not informed they were .75 cents more than the original happy hour Margarita we inquired about. The drink took a good 15 minutes to even make it to the table. We had to ask for it once more before it came. This became a trend among drinks we ordered, except that the next drinks tasted like straight battery acid. My friend’s meal came out in pieces, first a side arriving, then 5 minutes later the main dish, then 10 minutes later another side. My fries were clearly burnt. We didn’t receive straws for our drinks and had to wait a good 20 minutes for the waitress to come around. After becoming tired of the terrible service and the drinks that tasted like battery acid and took 15 minutes to arrive, we asked to speak to the manager who was extremely rude. He knew the situation because he himself was part of many of the mistakes, however I still had to adamantly explain to him why a portion of our meal should be discounted. We received no apology.

Traveling through Richmond on the way to Baltimore. got very hungry and stopped at Chili’s. Very pleasantly surprised by both the food and service as it was so much better than what we’re used to. The food was delicious and really looked like the food in the menu. The server was very courteous and polite and the cook even came out to see how we liked everything. Would definitely go back but we don’t get down this way often.

Great place to go for the VCU Watch Parties — Atmosphere is awesome — food is typical chain… not a fan of the food!

Food was good but the customer service from the waiters were terrible. Our waiter never came to check on us till we were ready to have our plates taken away. Could never get a refill from him so asked another waiter but took him over 5 minutes to realize he never got it but thankfully one of manager saw we needed refills and did that for us. Appetizer never came till after the food arrived but manager was nice enough to take off the appetizer and drinks off the bill. Would want to go there again but not have a server who wasn’t ready to be on the floor.

I occasionally go to this Chili’s for VCU basketball games. Its located on VCU campus across from the business building. The food is good(burgers). Service is hit or miss, especially if the restaurant is busy. The employees are polite. During the semester, a lot of VCU students usually dine here. There’s street parking in front of the restaurant or reserved parking for Chili’s customers across in a lot. This Chili’s is a great place to watch VCU basketball games. I give Chili’s a 3.5 rating.

BIGNO No one offered us table to sit, had to ask for a table after 5 minutes of waiting to be asked. Long wait for food on normal days Under cooked chips — half of them were uncheweable. No apologies on mistakes. In 2.5 hours we had 5 waiters and managers at our table. Did not bring side of potatoes with one of the main entrees. Then had to ask for sour cream which was part of main entrée — which never ever showed up even after asking. 2nd main entrée was a joke — ordered chicken Tostada with rice and beans plus side of salsa — waiter brought only taco with few chicken slices and lettuce on it in a quarter plate(main entrée in a quarter plate — seriously:)) I ended up never eating my main entrée since they took another half an hour to bring it back on table with everything in it, had to make it to go order. I see similar complaints for this location — Why is Chilis not doing anything about it? Our marriage anniversary dinner was spoiled. We still kept our spirits high and enjoyed rest of the evening.

Bad service. I’ve seen multiple parties be seated, eat, and leave and I’m still here waiting on my server. I’ve been here almost two hours and I’m still waiting on my desert. When I got my desert it was half way melted. I did how ever speak to the manager and he was very understanding and I received a coupon for my next meal. I don’t know if I’ll be returning though…

I’m done with this Chili’s. The service is inconsistent, the speed of getting your meal is incredibly slow, and they do their best to screw you out of using the coupons. I won’t be returning.

Bad service — the waitress we had gave us bad information and after we asked for happy hour drinks gave us full priced drinks. Mediocre food — I could have made better fries at home. Really bad service — I“m never goin back

There’s not really much to say. If you’ve been to Chili’s or Applebee’s or something like that, you know what you’re getting. It’s not gourmet, but it’s far from bad. Service was very good and speedy. Food was good, if a bit overpriced.(I’m used to West Coast prices.) If you’re looking for a quick, average, place to eat in the area– this is a good option.

Wow, this place has come a long way from when they first opened! I remember I was excited that we had a Chili’s on campus. The one thing that stood out during my first visit here was that it took forever for them to serve us our food. We would have to wait at least 30 – 40 minutes! It was terrible! After that, I didn’t come back for long time. Fast forward to now. They’ve greatly improved their service, and they have your food ready with a decent waiting time that’s better than 30 – 40 minutes. Staff is good. Some waiters are better than others, but overall good. They do a great job making sure that we have everything we need and that we have our refilled from time to time. A lot of college students eat here. Granted, this Chili’s is located in the heart of VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. It’s definitely a great place to beat at if you want to watch any football or VCU basketball games. A lot of people come here to do that and it’s such an exciting atmosphere during those times!

The food is great but the to go service and phone service is horrible. Waited 10 minutes just for someone to take my order. Before that I tried to call in my order and I was placed on hold for 10 minutes :-/can’t even order online at this place. It’s on campus. SMH

They’re taking FOREVER to feed us… …this location is two blocks away from the Jefferson Hotel… RIGHTSMACKDAB in the middle of the VCU campus… I won’t totally kill them, because, hey, it’s college kids working there, and college kids are also the clientele. The food took a long time to get to us, the server really didn’t check on us as much as I’m accustomed to. But, the food wasn’t bad. In fact it was quite good. Some of the better dishes I’ve had at a Chili’s But, you can’t come into Chili’s and have high expectations. But, keep in mind, you’re gonna have loud college kids around you, and young servers who aren’t doing this as a career, but just a way to make money while in college…

Food sucks, service sucks, save your money and go anywhere else. They fucked up my order twice, the manager was screeching over us to some other patrons on the patio, christ this place is a joke.

I’ve never been a big fan of Chili’s food, its not that it’s not bad but nothing special about it. With that said, this place is OK and the one thing worth going here is their happy hour. Its not too crowded, but I’ve never gone here when school is in full session so it could be different then. Bartenders are cool and attentive and the wait staff are for the most part the same. The crowd is mostly college kids and so is the staff, and of course there’s always that one obnoxious just turned twenty-one sloppy drunk or in my case last time three of them, but they too bring a form of entertainment. So three stars for good happy hour, pretty decent bar foods, fast, and cheap.

Jose and I were watching TV the other night and my mouth started watering when a Chili’s chimerical came on showing the new buffalo chicken sliders. He pointed out that there was a Chili’s nearby, so I made it my mission to try them out. This is apparently a recently built location because it’s part of the new VCU Morgan Campus(or whatever it’s called). I wish there were more parking, but on the street it’s not too bad. While I enjoyed the sliders, the food isn’t the best(although that’s just Chili’s, but I digress). Our server was very nice and I appreciated how attentive she was with our drinks AND with helping us prepare our food to take home.
