I think all of these five-​star reviews are well-​earned. Travis came out and got the job done, cleaning years of soot build-​up out of our chimney. Very reasonable, too. He was punctual, courteous, cool and professional. What more can you ask for?

We used Travis to clean an air vent that was causing our heat to stop working. He solve the problem, took apart the vents, and cleaned it thoroughly. He as definitely a pro. Went above and beyond to clean the place and some dirt that was leftover from the cleaning. Highly recommend Travis and English Sweep to anyone that needs their fireplace or vents cleaned.

I had my fireplaces swept by them, Travis was personable, professional and left everything clean! Then had him come out and install caps on the chimneys for our condo building and install dampers for my fireplaces.
Reasonable prices, Travis and Grace provided excellent service. Would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I just purchased my 1^st condo in Richmond and wanted to get my fireplace ready for the holidays. I have not used a fireplace ever and was nervous about lighting it, but I know for safety reasons I wanted to have it inspected. I called English Sweep and left a message and they returned my call quickly and scheduled me within a couple of days. The tech was super helpful and walked me through everything. Now I am excited to use my fire place!

Called me right back, was at my home in 20 minutes and did a great job at a great price. I’ll never call anyone else.

Best advice, book him for you cleanings before October. He gets so busy in the early winter, he might not have an opening until spring.

When I called he was busy on a job and asked me to call him back. I sent him an email, he replied promptly, came as agreed, was clean, neat and really cleaned both the fireplaces leaving no dirt behind! He also presented a written assessment of the condition of the fireplace structure for future reference. I would recommend the services of this professional who is personable too!

This is a family owned business. They have been servicing chimneys since 1993. Travis English is now the sole proprietor and the awesome guy who will come out to clean and service your chimney. The story behind his company is awesome and Travis is such a personable guy. He gives %110 every time he does a job.
Travis has been out to work on my chimney twice. Once for a cleaning and simple inspection, second to remedy the issues he first found. (Spark arrestor and damper issues) He takes his time, cleans up super well and makes sure to protect the area around where he’s working. He explained the different types of soot that he found when he cleaned the chimney and showed me how to know the difference. (I asked for this knowledge, he didn’t just volunteer it)
His prices are great. Most sweeps wanted 1.5x what he charged me and they refused to even climb on my roof due to the 45degree angle. So not only did I get an excellent price, I received excellent service, since he was willing to service my chimney!
I absolutely love going with local businesses and it’s hard working folks like Travis English that make me continue doing so.
