I have been coming here for years, about once a week. This is my go to restaurant for Chinese food; super nice people, delicious food (I always get General Tso’s), and great prices.

Chinese is amazing when done right but not here. The food tastes old and dirty. After a few deliveries, I soon realized that this was not out of the ordinary, that’s just how it tastes. Look elsewhere for good Chinese in the Richmond area.

We got delivery. BIG MISTAKE! They showed up to the house AN HOUR AND A HALF after we ordered. And when we FINALLY got our food the egg rolls were SOGGY, they FORGOT my white rice, the brown rice they did give me tasted BURNT, DRY and DIRTY, the crab rangoon was HARD and tasted BURNT, the broccoli was BROWN, my sweet and sour chicken was CHEWY and UNDER-COOKED, and not to mention ALL THE FOOD WAS COLD. Never again. NOT RECOMENDED AT ALL.

An hour and a half wait for delivery. Called to check on status and was told, «She has 3 orders with her but she’s in the area.» 15 minutes later, she arrives. No apology… nothing. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and what was supposed to be crispy (crab Rangoon and egg rolls) was soggy. Ordered white rice but received fried rice. Too many other restaurants to waste my time with this one again.

On what planet does it take 1 hour and 23 minutes to get Chinese food delivered? Needless to say, the food was cold and soggy. After warming up the food, I tried the Sesame Chicken and the meat was tough and the sauce was average at best.
The fried rice looked like no other fried rice that I’ve ever tried. It was a chocolate color, dry and bland. I took one bite and never looked at it again. Lastly, the Egg Roll was soggy and I took one bite and couldn’t stand to take another bite.
At least the fortune cookie was good but I won’t waste my time or money on this place again.

Great prices! Quick Drive — thru! Not the best Sesame Chicken but it was good. White pieces of chicken breast was a big plus. The egg roll was very good. I will be back but I will try something different next time.

Been coming here for years. Great sesame chicken, wonton soup, crab Rangoon and egg rolls. Call ahead and pick up at drive thru window in 10 – 15 mins. Or eat inside. Clean, friendly, appears to be family run. Very reasonable prices, can’t say enough good things!
Give them a good tip, they work hard and always get my take home order right. They also bag it in thick paper bags so it doesn’t spill all over in your car when driving home.

I love Fong’s when they do it right. The problem is that they hardly ever get it right. Past few times that I have eaten there the meat has tasted old. Tonight was probably their last shot at my business because I’m not going to continue chasing a meal that was good like one once was.

Favorite Chinese Food! I have been going here since I was a child. Love the hot and sour soup, and they will make custom tofu orders! Friendly and fast service!

horrible!
I don’t do very many bad reviews, but this one was earned. Fong’s is definitely a fast food place, but that’s ok. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, and thought a small local place would be fine.
I had the combo fried rice and egg roll. The rice was very dry and had a dirty/burnt taste. Very little meat in the rice. The egg roll was the typical frozen kind found at many places and was ok.
Service was slow and my order came without the egg roll. I had to produce my receipt to prove I ordered one. It eventually came when I was almost done and without an apology or a thank you. She simply put it on the table and walked away.
Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I won’t be coming back to find out.
