I love At Home!(Formerly Garden Ridge) There is so much junk in here and I LOVE junk! This is the best place to shop for seasonal decorations. The thing is, buy only the clearance items after the season is over and wait until the next year to put them on display. I have always been impressed with their bedding and pillows section. The wall art is another favorite of mine. ALL of this stuff is reasonably priced.

Imagine that Target, Home Goods, and a warehouse had a baby. Then multiply it by 10. Now you have Garden Ridge. Ok, so maybe the baby’s a bad analogy, but seriously this store is like all of those shops combined into one huge mecca of home-wares. I don’t know how I had never heard of this place until last weekend, but when a friend mentioned going I jumped at the opportunity. After all, I’m in the market for quite a few new house things but I don’t have a million dollars to spend. Garden Ridge is definitely an overwhelming experience. It’s one of those stores where you don’t even know where to start upon entering. It’s literally wall to wall goods — from decorations to furniture to candles to bedding, rugs, mirrors and more. I have been searching high and low for rugs so I was excited to peruse Garden Ridge’s selection. Because of the sheer volume of rugs, they stack them according to size. Sadly, this makes it really difficult to sort through and actually look at them. I’m sure my friend and I looked pretty ridiculous hoisting rugs from pile to pile in an attempt to reach a rug halfway through the stack. We both ended up with battle wounds aka rug burns AND I didn’t even buy the rug. It was definitely affordable, but not what I was looking for. Fail. I did, however, end up with two really cute ikat throw pillows that were $ 10 each. I’ve seen very similar patterns at other stores for $ 50. Definite win. By the end of our shopping trip I was more than ready to run the other direction and/or pull out my hair. That said, I’m sure I’ll visit Garden Ridge again to stock up on holiday decorations and score inexpensive accent pieces. Just gotta get my game face on prior to walking through the Garden Ridge door.

Cheap quality and poor merchandising. The pricing structure is such that lures you in for the deal and you leave with crap you didn’t need. Christmas time is the time to shop here for all those needs. Other than that its alot of junk that you don’t need merchandised in a way that would confuse the person who set it up. Shop here but have the tools ready to fix what you buy

Garden Ridge is the warehouse version of Homegoods… it’s a warehouse-style store filled with home accessories, inexpensive furniture, and general household items(mops, dustpans, etc.)… I stopped by yesterday and found it more than a little overwhelming. Half the store is devoted to Christmas right now, so if you like to decorate and are budget-conscious, this is the place to go. Beware– the prices are low because the quality is cheap. so, if you are looking for an investment piece of furniture, this isn’t the place to go. But if you want to stage a house, update a room with fresh accessories, decorate for the holidays, etc. Then this is your place. My favorite part of the store was the pillow section-ROWS UPONROWSUPONROWS of really nice, luxe looking pillows, and most are priced at $ 9.99. You can’t even get a nice pillow at Target for under $ 15 nowadays…
