Best kept secret in Richmond. I was in town for a few days & made it a point to check this restaurant out. I had heard about this spot from some others from outside of Richmond, but I got much more than expected. I ordered my lunch and dinner. If I had known, I would have ordered more! The collard greens were the best I’ve had in a long time. Prices are very reasonable. The service is above and beyond. Patience and courtesy. Smiles all the way. The atmosphere is quaint. Service is fast. Richmond, if you haven’t already found them, you should definitely make it a point to find them. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip in July.

This is absolutely the BEST sole food spot in Richmond! Why wait in extremely long lines at Crocker Spot or Mama J’s when you can get food that taste just as good, honestly if not better, and a whole lot cheaper. Plus the portion sizes are good. The owner is one of the cooks and he is very personable! He is so down to earth and humble! He truly has a passion for food and making sure his customers are welcomed into a great atmosphere. I’m not a big fan of Salisbury Steak, however, this place has ABSOLUTELY THE BEST Salisbury Steak I’ve tasted by far!!! The fish is amazing and the shrimp is a good portioned size.
My friend and I eat there so much we have become regulars. I’ll be glad to overlook Croker Spot or Mama J’s any day for Garfield’s. You will not be disappointed!!! It is definitely a hidden gem!

This is a small intimate place to dine for a great price. It’s a diamond in the rough! If you want take out first or ask for delivery they do it! I must say the food was appealing to the eye. And the atmosphere was jazzed with a quaint feel. Delicious soul food and mouth watering desserts. Thanks for the experience I’m a customer for life. Good bye Name brand restaurants. hello neighborhood café!

Hidden gem. Busy little spot on the South Side, great customer service, great prices, wide selection of food and they cater too (I think). Small restaurant but perfect for pickup and go. I’m kinda mad that I wasn’t in the know… how did I miss this???
