This was our mainstay for Asian after the Greywolf closed… all the kids bdays celebrated here. So one fateful Sunday after church we roll up only to find The Ghengis had closed. We actually cried. And trust me, the corporate Ghengis is NOCOMPARISON. One plate only… which stinks.

They’ve closed down. Went by earlier and there was a sign on the door. Apparently they got behind in money and got shut down.

This place is awesome! I truly love this place! Everyone should try this place, its a great substitute to Genghis Grill. A cheaper option, this place ha s a definitely more family-owned feel. Everyone’s friendly there, and the small side buffet has a nice selection of stuff! This is a must try!

This is my lunch spot for Mongolian. All you can eat, they offer you a choice of soup, rice and bread. The buffet has a few other options, but I typically stick to the veggies and frozen meats. Once it is cooked up and ready to go, I am pretty generous with the hot oil sauce. MMMHMMM. Try it out!

Food was good and price was reasonable but service was atrocious, especially one employee in particular– Brandon– who was rude and disrespectful to our party. I would never go back for that reason alone.

Why is this place not hopping? I love eating here. The raw veggies are fresh and tasty, and they have a good selection of thin sliced frozen meats to choose from. If you’re a newbie-remember that the sauces are the seasonings-be generous-a lot of it cooks off on the grill. The sesame bread they serve is great-especially dipped in soy sauce. Only bad side-what looks like broccoli chicken on the buffet is actually tofu. All of the other meats are real:)

Inside this homely shopping center if the Genghis Kahn Mongolian Grill. Upon entering you’ll be surprised by the wide open eating area. The wood architecture is nicely done. The hot & sour soup is yummy. The buffet is a bowl noodle with veggie pile on style and they cook it right there with a large grill.

This restaurant is now CLOSED. I could have told you that was coming! Kelly R is spot on! The fact there’s never anyone in the parking lot should have been a red flag, but when a women at the buffett looked over at me and said«slim pick’ns, aint it?» pretty much summed it up. This was our first visit here, so we were a bit new to how this restaurant works in regards to the grill and buffett. We were seated quick, and offered soup, and something else, but we couldn’t understand the waitress. When I asked her to repeat herself, she just said, no worry, no worry, its free… its free. So, a few minutes later some flat bread comes out that tastes like Pillsbury crescent rolls. We were never instructed on what to do, so we asked, and moved on from there. This place looks and feels like an old dance club that shut down and decided to start serving food. There are very few selections to choose from, and since there’s no signs on anything, you don’t know what you’re eating. Some of it looked like something I wouldn’t want to eat. The stir fry tasted over cooked and nowhere near as good as the one at the mall. The small Chinese buffett off to the side was not labeled and some of it looked disgusting. The ones that did look half way decent were picked clean and not kept fresh. This dinner wasn’t cheap, and we left very disappointed. The fact this restaurant is still open amazes my entire family. This might be good for a quick work lunch if you just want to grab something, but I would highly suggest on staying away and going to the one at the mall.

Great food! I hadn’t eaten Mongolian since my friend introduced me to it while we were out of town. I had no idea this place existed until the other day when I looked it up on Unilocal.I really liked how this place also had a small Chinese food selection to give it a little variety.

Well, I had an idea… visit a number of the Asian restaurants and check my taste buds and compare one against another. We have two Mongolian type restaurants not far from the other. This restaurant is across from or to the side of Outback Steak House. It’s not a buffet but it is an all you can eat, which is not on my list of must go to! It’s kind of fun… you pick your foods and sauces and BAM, they get cooked! As I’m writing I can see reviews on the screen and I got laughing because… no matter which sauces I tried… the food tasted the same… and that’s a comment made by another writer! It doesn’t mean it’s bad by any means… if anything… consistent. Nice folks operate it! It’s A-OK…

So disappointed. I experienced the other grille that is at the mall and wanted to try this one because I learned it was a family restaurant. I am a huge supporter of local restaurants and typically avoid chains. Maybe today was an off day, but it was the worst stir fry I have ever experienced. My husband and I got the veggies we wanted and then put on the sauce. We didn’t get the same flavor sauce, but you couldn’t tell the difference when you tasted the food. Both dishes were overcooked to the point of burnt. And tasted horrible. I couldn’t even eat mine. We had to flag the waitress down multiple times before we could get drink refills and overall the food quality and cooking style was just not up to par. Unfortunately, I would suggest trying the other place at the mall. While its a chain the food was edible and the service was good. I hate having to write these types of reviews, but in this case others should know. We wasted $ 20 on lunch today.

This is actually a very nice mongolian style restaurant that is located in the strip mall behind Bailey’s. It is not too easy to find at first unless you know where its at. But once you do find it, this place is well worth the money. I will say that this is a much better value than the Genghis Grill located a mile away at Chesterfleld Towne Center. Whereas GG charges by the bowl(with an unlimited option for $ 15), this place charges less for all you care to eat. Plus you get soup and sesame flatbread with your meal at no extra charge. You simply fill your bowl with noodles, veggies and meat and hand it to the cook who has your meal ready in just one minute. There are also a variety of sauces you can experiment with on your food. The interior is also very nice and spacious. On my last visit, I noticed they had added a small buffet of chinese food. But I easily skipped this since there are many other places around to get chinese and nobody really comes here to eat it either. This is by no means a fancy place, but it is certainly much better than the competitor I mentioned above(who will hopefully not drive these guys out of business).

Fast friendly service, especially the hostess. The food looked and tasted fresh. We were waited on by the bartender who paid very good attention to us. The citrus ginger sauce was a surprise. I was hesitant to visit but will come back again.

Decent Mongolian Grill but nothing special. This seemed to be an lower end Mongolian Grill, as others I have visited have higher quality ingredients. It’s all you can eat so you can definitely fill up. The flavors are good, and the hot and sour soup was standard. I thought the staff was friendly and helpful. TIP: Make sure you use plenty of sauce, as the first go around I didn’t use enough and it turned out a little dry(my fault). Use a whole ladle full.

I went into Genghis Grill with very high expectations, and was vastly disappointed. First off, the location is quite poor. As it is connected to the mall, it can be a bit awkward to enter, and can be hard to locate if someone is meeting you. Next, the layout is a little unorganized. The server just said, take your bowl up, and fill it. No preamble, no directions, just asked what we got after we sat back down. In regards to the food line, you walk up and around a wall of tables, and then filter in to one of two lines. Except, there is only one line with a second line being open at a variety of times, even though there is food over there, it’s not always open. Okay… Then, there are sheets to tell you how to make house favorites, but they are tucked in a corner and no one points them out. As for the options, their actually is quite a bit of food to choose from, but the quality is not the greatest. After one child goes through, expect broccoli and snap peas to be comingled, and double check the meat. When the food arrived, it actually tasted pretty good, but was certainly not worth the price. Where I grew up, there was a restaurant similar to this, but it was all you could eat, so if you messed up your own creation, you could redo it. At Ghengis, it is a one shot experience, so good luck!

I just trashed the other Mongolian place down the street and recommended this one so I figured I’d better write a review for this one! This place is in a weird location and I think it really does them a disservice. If we want to meet friends here, they usually drive past it a couple times before they realize where it is. For a restaurant, that is not a good thing. I really like this place, it is simple and to the point. Before I get to far, the reviewer who mentioned the meat being frozen. I understand why you wouldn’t like that take a trip to the Ghengis Grill down the street and see their non-frozen meat section and then I think you will really prefer the frozen meat here. It is more appetizing, you can tell that it has texture and the freezing is more about allow them to slice it that thin. So on to the review… It is a simple place but they do some things well and some so-so. The good: 1) All you can eat 2) the sesame bread is delicious 3) small salad bar 4) good stir fry noodles The bad 1) Sauces don’t have much variety… you can change it a little bit but realistically it tastes the same no matter what you do… it tastes good, but just not a lot of difference regardless of how you mix it 2) Soups are OK, nothing spectacular 3) None of the staff are ever friendly. Never had bad service, but also never had anyone be personable either. We went here pretty frequently for a while with co-workers and I know we were pretty recognizable and regular but still they were just not personable. I find that weird. 4) Terrible location, difficult to find, and I think that hurts their business.

If all you are looking for is «all you can eat» then it’s worth the trip. You get soup, bread, all you can eat salad and Mongolian grill. You choose the ingredients from a nice selection. If you are looking for fresh and tasty forget it. All the veggies were limp and on their way out. The meat was frozen and some not so great looking. The service was not rude but not friendly and helpful either. I thought it was overpriced based on quality not quantity. It would be so easy to slice smaller quantities and replenish them often. Then the place would be top notch.

It doesn’t get any better than this. The service is great, the food is phenomenal, and I like the interior of the restaurant. It’s all you can eat, but not the typical buffet style. You pick out all the raw ingredients you want and then watch the chef cook it for you. I go here all the time and it’s great. Anyone who enjoys Asian food will LOVE this place.

I can’t tell if I love this place or not. My best friend has been raving about it for so long he made me think it was the utopia of all you can eat restaurants. Tonight I finally made the drive and met him for a feast that ended in me speeding home dodging red lights to avoid the repercussions of eating way too much. This place is like Mel Gibson’s trailer from Lethal Weapon. From the outside it’s just another dilapidated strip mall that looks the size of a shoebox, but inside it’s HUGE. The décor is typical Asian theme without the cheesy free promotion papers tucked under a piece of glass with the table clothes underneath for that appearance of fancy without having to change them between sittings. The food is it’s own beast to tackle. Me being a Mongolian Grill virgin, I had to follow in Lee’s footsteps for round 1. The build your own Lo Mein style bar was great, but my only complaint is that it needed a lot more variety to be perfect. Regardless the end result of all 3 trips I made was great, but realistically they all tasted about the same no matter what I put in them. Tips for dining here: Skip the soup, rice, and bread. Order a light drink like water or iced tea. Build big and eat fast. The best part though was dinner for 2, all you can stomach, was only $ 26. Just prepare yourself for a painful car ride home.
