Mall food, quick fast and not horrible. Could be more sanitary but decent got something quick and fast

The food is so delicious, well it all depends on how you prep your plate. I have been coming here for more than a decade. How I prep my bowl: chicken, onion, mushroom, cilantro, mini corn, broccoli, and for sauce 2 spoons of garlic and one spicy hot and one sesame oil and once it’s cooking I ask the cook to add 2 spoons of teriyaki. Now let me mention a few things about the place, not so clean, the infant high chairs are really disgusting. Now customer service is so bad, the cashiers are rude. The cooks are nice though. I have slowly stopped coming here. For years me and my siblings used to come here on a weekly basis. I had a bad experience last week. Beware there is a cashier there that doesn’t follow food handling procedures, I have seen this twice in different days, same girl she likes rubbing her nose a lot, which to me is really nasty, because she handles food afterwards. I asked her for a refund because I noticed she didn’t wash her hands and she was serving noodles. Therefore I don’t think I will return to this place, food is good but if the place or owner doesn’t make changes in his employees and properly trains them I don’t think I can return there. And he will continue to lose regulars like me. Overall Food is 5 stars, full of favor, but customer service 0 stars and place 3 stars it can be more clean.

This place is by no means sanitary beautiful, but it outputs some pretty darn good food. You get to pick and choose the components of your stir fry, buffet style. After this, you take it to the cooks and the fry it for you. Interesting idea, and execution is good enough. The fact that the food is so customizable makes it suitable for pretty much any one. There are lots of options to choose from. The ingredients(look) pretty fresh overall, but I would not take meat or poultry here because it is just out in the open and doesn’t look all that… trustworthy. That may just be me though. All in all, I would definitely come here again if I come to Hilltop Mall again(not anytime soon). I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great, satisfying meal, and is already in the vicinity. Awesome food, awesome price.(I took one star off for cleanliness and sanitation.)

This place will probably cater my wedding I love this food so much. I like to pile my food to the size of my head and make sure that whenever I visit the Bay I stop by this place. You get to make your own bowl and I make sure to add the sauces that are available because each one makes it even better. The guys that work there have been there for years and are quick and make sure everything is cooked through. If done right you can make the meal into 2. So great!

The food was pretty good and cheap. You get to pick what you want in your food and it’s pretty fun. Costumer service is pretty bad. The cook was talking on his phone the whole time. But I guess you can’t really expect more from food from a mall.

I really like their food. You build your own meal selecting from a good variety of meat(frozen), vegetables(fresh), and sauces. It’s a full meal that leaves me satisfied. The ONLY reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the location in Hilltop Mall. It’s A+ for fresh mall food and beats the heck out of the alternatives at the same price. But it’s not exactly dining at its finest.

Mediocre stir fried food. Why is this restaurant at the mall? My first and last time to eat this food. This is not Mongolian Food. Food: Meats were frozen in containers. Vegetable appeared fresh but broccoli was clearly fading in color. Hygiene: Poor Quality. Servers were working grill and handling donation for tip. Employee dropped take away containers onto restaurant floor; He returned the pile of containers to counter. Yikes. Service: Sexist! The men working the grill on Monday, June 1, 2015 were speaking in Spanish about the physical appearance of the customers especially the look of the women waiting to have their food prepared by these idiots. The female employee at the counter barely made an effort to help customers. Only reason to visit this mall is for car repairs and maintenance.

I have looked for a Mongolian Restaurant for 2.5 years in the bay and this is the closest thing I’ve came to what I’m looking for. Well, the only thing… that’s not in a Chinese Buffett. Keep in mind that these bowls are super small! FIRSTOFF… CHANGEYOURMUSIC! They have slow, breakup jams playing! Who wants to hear boys II men, or shai, or something else depressing in the mid-day? For protein choices you have tofu, chicken, beef, pork or shrimp(for an additional $ 2.50). Very thinly sliced veggies except cilantro. The stems Are on that. They have to give u your noodles, condiments and sauce themselves. Some of my shrimp were uncooked but all were flavorless. Sad because the shrimp are raw and raw shrimp usually pick upon the flavored its mixed with. I added hot chili and garlic and couldn’t even taste it. Maybe because I got no noodles or rice. That usually soaks up flavor too. My meat was way over cooked. They had small tiny pieces that clumped together when they froze it. This means they have to be thawed out on the grill. By the time they are thawed out with the shrimp and veggies, it’s way overdone. The guy cooking the food is actually sitting down eating his own lunch while he waits for other customers to walk up. When one did come in, at least he washed his hands. Overall bad customer service, as with most places I’ve been to in Richmond. Also, this place has high reviews but clearly not many people are familiar with actual Mongolian BBQ. Also, one over Unilocal we com paired this place to Tokyo Grill saying the only difference is that you get a tray here. BIGDIFFERENCE! Mongolian BBQ is a build your own. The Tokyo Grill are menu rice plate type items. Like. Typical fast food hibachi type establishment. The fact they sit in a mall, they should be wearing gloves!

I can’t say anything bad about this place. The service, although not the most upbeat and eager, is consistently good. The same people have been working there for at least the past 5 years, so you get consistency with each visit. They offer a large variety of fresh vegetables that are cut on site(you can usually hear someone in the kitchen as you move along the ‘produce bar’). They also offer a good amount of proteins(chicken, beef, shrimp, pork, and turkey) and sauces(spicy, medium, sesame oil, lemon sauce, garlic, and two others I can’t recall) so you can easily customize your dish. The guys that operate the grill cook right in front of you, and how they manage to never mix up my food with another customer’s when they are cooking for 4 – 6 people amazes me every time. You have the option to add teriyaki sauce to finish off your noodles before they serve them as well! Good stuff. Damn good stuff for mall food!

Pack as much meat as you want. The taste was pretty standard though. It used to taste real good but now it taste like something you can cook by experimenting at home. The service was nice but the food was meh so probably won’t be back 2 stars. I recommend packing the meat down. Also note that they no longer serve lamb.

Foods great you have to master the art of getting a napkin and squishing the frozen meat down to get more though I like that you can watch your food being cooked I find it more hygienic that way.

I use the napkin about half way through loading up my bowl to smash the food down to make room for more. A little insider tip fo ya. Been coming here for 12 years, and everytime is better than before. Items are always fresh, cooks are fast, and the teriyaki sauce is the best around. Ive tried to replicate it many times to no avail.

Went here yesterday at around lunch time for lunch & there was literally no one here, besides one lady ordering to go and two guys eating at a table. I mean the mall was pretty much empty to begin with — well because there really isn’t much of a mall anyway. So since there was no one there, the service was fast and the food and utensils were all neat and well stocked. There wasn’t messed everywhere like at the concord location but them again it’s a lot more busier there. I took the order to go since you don’t feel like it’s the safest place in the world and a little eerie that you are in a mall with a handful of stores open and it’s like super quiet . But either way the food here is bomb and will always stay that way!

Eating early dinner while waiting for my car having an oil change at Firestone: They give you a bowl but, it’s difficult piling everything into a small bowl with all the uncooked meat and vegetables inside this SMALL bowl! The rice was served cold as well as the soup!

You pay. You walk to a spread of different veggies and meats. You fill your plate, I suggest getting a napkin so you can use that as a barrier between your food and your hand when you press down on the food to stuff as much as possible in your bowl they provide. I swear it’s gotten smaller over the years. Once you have all the stuff they throw on noodles and sauces to your liking. You walk to the grill and they cook it right in front of you. It comes out hot and ready to eat. You sit down and indulge and it’s bomb. The price is reasonable considering what you get if you use the right technique to get more bang for your buck. It’s a great stir fry noodle dish with meat and veggies and not lacking flavor. I like coming here and if you are in the mall its a good lunch to have. However I never go to Hilltop mall because it’s just gone to shit. Just sayin.

Great Kahn’s is a self-serve Mongolian BBQ spot inside the Hilltop Mall. The place offers two items on their menu, your basic plate or «the works,» which is your plate, and a side order of steamed rice and soup. The price for just the plate is $ 7 and change with tax, which you stack up with your choice of meat and veggies. The«works» is a dollar or two more and includes the aforementioned side orders. In all honestly, the plate is more than enough food for anyone, but the soup is delicious if you’re in the mood. Once you pay for your bowl, you circle around their self-serving area and add all the items you’d like into your plate. Proteins include chicken, beef, lamb, pork and shrimp(for an additional $ 2 dollars). Vegetables are plentiful and you add all that you want and head towards the end of the counter, where an employee adds a huge portion of noodles to your bowl. Once your bowl is piled high with noodles, you pick your desired sauces(teriyaki, bbq, spicy, etc.) and head to the grilling station. Here a cook throws your bowl on to a grill and cooks your meat, veggies and noodles to perfection with or without their house sauce, which is a flavorful teriyaki sauce. The food is grilled for about three or four minutes and is served piping hot and you’re good to go. The noodles, veggies, meats and sauces really add to an explosion of flavor. The meats are a little bland and lack flavor, but nevertheless, the large plate has tons of flavors that work together. The veggies taste fresh and have a crunchy texture, the noodles taste great with your given combination of house sauces. Lastly, the chicken and beef is okay, but is no doubtingly, the weakest point of the dish. Regardless, for $ 7, you get A LOT for your money. The food is delicious, the value is almost absurd, and you’ll have plenty of left overs or can share with your friend of significant other.
