Not sure why the other reviews are so negative. We have a large family, from Hong Kong, and visit this place regularly. The dim sum is very good. We drive for about an hour to visit, and that is worth it. Not the best on the East Coast, by any stretch, but certainly the best nearby.

Horrible food. Horrible service. The vegetable roll oozed grease. The scallion pancake was also greasy and did not have any flavor beyond flour mixed with water. My iced tea was refilled without additional ice… so it was warm. We didn’t bother to wait around for any more horrible food.

TERRIBLE. Really can’t speak for the food because it NEVER came. I placed my order online through Beyond Menu at 6:39 pm. Called at 7:29 pm being told the driver was on their way and should be there in a couple of minutes. Called again at 7:46 pm and was immediately put on hold for over 5 minutes only to be called by the driver that she was on the way. Finally called AGAIN at 7:54 to cancel and be refunded. The woman tried to offer ½ off and said 5 more min. Half off what? We still had no food! The WORST! Order at your own risk!

We were a bit surprised seeing the new name at the place we know as Queen’s Dim Sum. But were assured by one of the staff that everything stayed the same but they added some new Sichuan dishes to the menu so now we have more choice. As usually we had Dim Sum brunch and everything tasted the same flavorful and fresh as we remembered from our previous visits. From all of the Chinese places we tried in Richmond this one does the best job so whenever we are in the area we can’t leave without visiting it. Thank you House of Sichuan for satisfying our Dim Sum cravings.

This place is formerly known as Queens Dim Sum! Same ownership, some of the same employees, and even the layout/interior is exactly the same. I really wished they updated the interior because it’s very drab looking, has a sticky feel to it and not very inviting with it’s dim colors/lighting. The only difference is the menu and they offer a lot more spicy«sichuan» style food. Service is pretty friendly and they try to accommodate you as much as they can. Unfortunately my dad only speaks very little Chinese so we couldn’t communicate the usual dishes we would normally get. We could order them in English but have no idea if they are the actual dishes we want. One of the employees actually even told us that one of fish dishes we got comes frozen and is not fresh which was surprising because most places would never admit that. We first got the seafood/tofu soup combo which was pretty good. Not exactly sure what kind of «seafood» was in it though. We also got half a smoked duck which was on par for RVA and was cooked nicely/had a good flavor. We also got a beef chow fun which was greasy goodness; only downside is that they noodles were extra wide and kind of hard to eat because of the size. We also got a steamed cod filet which was frozen but we still got it but actually turned out to be the best dish of the night for me! It was light, cooked nicely, and the accompanying sauce was very good. Another dish we got was a seafood/tofu hot pot. We probably shouldn’t have gotten this because it was very similar to our appetizer. but the portion for this was obviously bigger and the the soup base thicker. We also got a lobster prepared«wet» which is like sauteed in a pan with scallions and onions and it was okay. definitely had better. I think if they updated their interior and worked more towards some of the chef specialty dishes this place would be great.

Formerly known as Queen’s Dim Sum. It looks like only the name changed since the employees and manager are still here. I went there for dim sum this morning and the place was pretty empty. There were only a few tables there but the service was extremely slow. The whole place smelled like we were sitting in the bathroom, it was not appetizing at all. Overall, the food was okay. The har gao(shrimp dumpling) was a little too soft but the chicken feet and pork dumplings were on point. We ordered the vegetable stir-fried noodle and asked for a large but it looked too small to be for a large. This place is a hit or miss, sometimes it’s good and other times you wish you would have just gotten phở instead.
