Well, since I get off at the Broad St. exit quite often, on more than a few occasions I decided I was going to have dinner at Infusions. Why not? I eat at numerous and different restaurants, primarily because I write reviews. And as you know this isn’t a paid job. It’s purely out of the love of relating to RVA ppl places I like, or want to talk about or want to try to share. I tell you what I think about the places. Now, this is the most unique place I’ve been in yrs. Sidebar, I used to travel to NYC quite often, and as a major buyer was invited to Studio 54, the Bond Warehouse, Xenon, tons of Broadway shows and most outstanding restaurants in Manhattan. I wasn’t that cool to get in to all those places, that’s a given. I just had a big pencil, pen, or whatever. Back to RVA& Infusion, someone poured a ton of money into this place. It’s not NYC but the facility is pretty sweet. I asked to visit the club, PURE, so after diner, simply because I wanted to see it. When we went in, it hadn’t opened yet, it was about 8:30PM. It wasn’t at 8:30 close to being open. So, which should I address first, the restaurant that’s down the hall, where we went first or our very polite, courteous and very nicely escorted visit to the club. Let’s cover the restaurant first. Since we were the ONLY four in the entire restaurant from our 7PM reservations until 8:30 I’d begun to panic before we were served… however, the food was great… I’ll admit I was a bit shocked, however, it was fresh and impeccably prepared. It was delish. I mean The food was really good, really, really good. See above. It’s been about two months since we were there and the Apts. across the street hadn’t opened. If they are able to hold on to the level of food, and I’d say they will, they’ll be quite busy. I imagine no one knows the place is there and that the food is great… the folks in the area will have one outstanding restaurant and place to hang. All four of us loved the food. I seldom write reviews on my first visit but even though it’s long overdue. We had superb food. Visit to the club, it’s a large dance floor lots of neon, tricked out club, amazing sound system, private booths… yet it seems no one is visiting/attending. That’s based on other reviews, as I said it wasn’t opened when I visited but the sound lights etc. were being tested. Red carpet outside, scratching my head, music?, lack of ppl knowing its there. Not usually the case. The place is sweet. I guess if I were hanging out, I’d take a bunch of friends, ask for specific music, but I guarantee I’d have a good time. I’d have to, it’s a gorgeous place. I didn’t check the prices… just the look and of all the places I’ve been in RVA over a long period of time, paled, this was more than pretty nice. I’m not going to pick the most current 2015 words to describe the place it’s just great looking. I’m saying all this, in that I can read other reviews… no one has been hanging! Well, take a bunch o party animals some good friends and go! Take someone or a group to dinner… don’t loose this’s place, RVA… it’s nice. The parking area may be an issue, but since when does RVA have any decent parking? I think I’ve said enough. Take a half dozen of your ppl and go, of course if you want to drive from club to club and waste half your night… well…what can I say… ya must need to be seen instead of partying. Just my view.

please do yourself a favor and don’t come here. I came with 2 friends on a Friday night and there were 4 people, 7 including my group. After we paid $ 15, the front desk told us that there weren’t a lot of people. I was thinking maybe 20 people. the minute I see the dance floor and that it’s empty, I ask the manager for our money back. I know $ 15 isn’t a lot but there was no reason to pay when we spent a maximum of 5 minutes in the club. after explaining to the manager why I would like my money back a few times he gave me $ 8 back. we only got the $ 8 back as a result of arguing with the manager after he only wanted to give us $ 5, the price of one entrance fee. the staff seemed very uninterested in the business and the importance of taking care of customers. not friendly at all. pretty poor service in my view. they got $ 7 but lost hundreds because I’m spending my money somewhere else.

This place plays usher songs from 2006 while Idiots in motorcycles show off how loud they can be outside. They are the fedora of RIchmond. Shut it down.

I enjoyed the music and the décor is great. Other than that I didn’t enjoy myself much and I always have a good time! The club didn’t fill much, and the people there all pretty much state with their group. Not quite what I’m use too.

The place was pretty off the hook the night(Friday) we went. We had a large party of 14 and ended up with getting a VIP room. The place is small but it was not over crowded, we were able to get to the bar and dance floor easily, and a plus for me was the police security at the front and back doors. Played hip hop all night which is right up my alley on a Friday night, and the décor was very modern. If the hip hop club is not your scene then it’s probably not for you on Friday, however the crowd is on the older end, 25 – 35 and I assume it is because of the $ 10⁄15 cover and $ 6 beers, $ 12 liquor drinks. The club was urban but not at all ghetto. Tip: If your not from Richmond, ask for highway directions since GPS and Google maps will take you through downtown(from the west anyway) place is half a mile from the highway. We got directions from a local to get back to the highway.

A dance club without anyone dancing? I went there last night and if it wasn’t for our big party group, this club would of been dead. It’s a shame too because it’s a very cool layout. Looks like a design from a D.C. night club. It’s also 18+ on a Saturday night, which is hard to find that age restriction in Richmond on the weekend. There were a lot of old dudes there, which was kind of creepy. Where is the young crowd in Richmond? The location is a little sketchy. It’s not where all the typical clubs are. It’s isolated, so there is no club hopping. You’re either there or you’re getting in your car and driving to another spot. The music is all dance plus a little hip-hop but that didn’t start until 12:30. They played La Bouche and that song from Night at the Roxbury… everyone did that head bob thing, you get the picture? Good thing is that the DJ was out for a smoke and I asked him to play some Tiesto. At 1:20AM they finally played some real club music but then all the people got off the dance floor because they didn’t know any Tiesto or real dance music. I think I was just looking for some party people other than my group. Thank goodness we were rolling deep. Bartenders were slow and inexperienced. But because of their lack of knowledge, we got a lot of free shots and a free drink. They didn’t know how to make a SoCo w/lime? She made a mixed drink, it’s a shot woman! But to wait for more than 15 mins for a drink? I’m only partying for a few hours, you’re taking up my time! I’ve read the other reviews for this club and everyone seemed like they picked up that«gay bar vibe», so did I. Not that I have a problem with that. As long as everyone is partying. I hope this place will start to pick up soon because it’s one of our few«upscale» night clubs. If it wasn’t for the birthday party last night, I wouldn’t of known this place existed. I’m going to try it again one night.

Really more like 3.5 except for that dip!!! Looks like it’s been a while since anyone reviewed this place, but at lunch on Friday afternoon 12÷11÷09, I wasn’t exactly picking up a «gay bar vibe». What I did find was one(well OK two) of the best Bloody Marys in Richmond. And a crab & artichoke dip that makes you want to lick the bowl. Sweetie was happy with his french dip, although I thought his side of fries was oversalted. I had a southwest chicken wrap that was tasty, but IMHO could have used a little more spice if you’re gonna call it southwest. I was glad I opted for the broccoli after tasting the fries. We took home a slice of the Kentucky bourbon pecan pie, which had a very tasty filling, though we didn’t really detect a bourbon flavor. The pecans were fresh, but crust was a little heavy. We got a look at the dinner menu and the food all sounds interesting enough that we will be back soon. The manager or owner(?) gave us a grand tour. Dining is separate from the club area and the renovations are tasteful and interesting. The bartender indicated that the club was seeking to attract more of a boomer audience, and ‘Lil Ronnie(is he still around?) was playing that night. Big plus for the area – there’s lots of off street parking.

what to say about this place? Well a lot of money went into it that is for sure, it boast a visually appealing layout that makes it very cool. the jazz lounge is great, the food is small and expensive but taste good, and the wait staff was very helpful, on did and sadly though this place will be shut down in a year… tops. Despite all the great things there currently are too many bad things. First question: is this a gay bar? This won’t matter to some but if you are going to a gay bar I think you should at least know you are. I have asked 3 different people and they all have said yes, the ice bar is a novel concept but I don’t really want to spend 15 dollars for a picture and shot. The worst part was the club’s music maybe on different nights its better, we went on a Friday night and it was almost undancable, just a collection of 80’s asian techno remix. Mostly void of any songs on the top of the charts and there was not even a Kanye West or 50 cent cameo. For a lounge/bar/club located next to the coke bottling plant you would think more would be done to pull people in, but hey this place is new and as summer approaches hopefully they will do something to change or define themselves, because right now all you have is confusion(pardon the pun) place people would want to hang out in. right now its just confuzion.
