I was on a road trip across the US and I decided to stop and take a breather in Richmond Indiana. I was just walking around taking in the sights and I stumbled into this Earlham Natural History Museum. I think it was free, at least when I went in 2008 or so. Anyway, I must say, what an absolute gem – it’s surprisingly big, exciting, well laid-​out and very stimulating. If you find yourself in Richmond Indiana or on a road trip in the area, I’d definitely suggest a stop.

Great place! Interesting exhibits, some live animals and a mummy downstairs. Run by college students who were friendly and helpful. Losing a star for keeping those turtles in such small aquariums though.
