My husband, son and I love this«Dog Park». It is actually a baseball field, and when children are not playing dogs are welcomed! What is great about this park is that it is completely in closed so dogs cannot get out unless someone opens the gate of course. Typically people arrive after work so from 5:00PM and on, When there is games dogs are not allowed, when there is practice dogs must be on leashes. Generally after going about 3 times you get to know everyone and their dogs, people are generally friendly. Outside there are bags for dog poop, everyone must clean up their own dogs poop. So far for us we have not had any issues of people not picking up poop. There is also always water and generally 3 bowls specifically for dogs to drink out of. Also a bucket full of balls and frisbees. We have had some issues with people letting their aggressive dogs off leash and getting into it with our Siberian Husky Puppy, or other peoples dogs. If your dog is aggressive or if you are not sure how they will do with other dogs(i.e. they need to be socialized) keep them on a leash. Plain and simple, once you know your dog let them run around if that is an option. Yes we highly recommend this park we come every week and will continue to do so.

Very friendly place to take your friendly dog… Yes but, when there is baseball games baseball come first and dogs should leave… but dogs have lots of fun there. letting the dogs run free with the other pups… Fenced and water… and poo bags available at the door. what more can you want…

Great little local dog park at the corner of Garrard and Cutting(Washington Park). Technically a baseball field, but entirely fenced around the perimeter so the hounds can run around off-leash. Water and bags provided. The crowd is local, friendly, strict about watching for & scooping your own dogs’ piles(it is a ballfield after all), and keeping a close eye on your dog to maintain friendly play. Much more low key than Point Isabel.

This is a actually a park with a baseball diamond but is dog friendly most of the time. It’s nice because it’s fenced in at all sides so your pup(s) can run off leash. We usually tend to go to Point Isabel or the Albany Bulb but come here when we need to get some coffee in Point Richmond. Lots of free street parking. Some of the people here can be a bit strange but if you need a place for your pooch to run(and poo), this will certainly do. Also, it’s nice to come here with your boo.
