This place is awful, if I can give 0 stars I would. To start… THEYDONTHAVEUBE!!! My goodness, of all days I craved for loard’s ube ice cream this place doesn’t have. The inside looks incomplete, the freezers were still unplugged and the menu is just so unappealing. It’s definitely worth the drive to find a loard’s that’s clean and have more variety on their menu. Never will I go back to this one, yuck.

uhmm. just came from here. like, writing this as i’m leaving this horrific mall. let me start by saying i ONLY came here bc the Loards in El Cerrito is closed down. bummer. my kids and i walk in and the first thing i notice is their refrigerators aren’t even installed yet. their menu is like — 4 items strong and they have only about 14 flavors and thats about it. i tell the girl we’re not ready and we’re gonna be there a minute, we’ll let her know when we’re ready and she stands there the entire 4 minutes that we’re deciding. shes just STARRING at us the whole time! so weird. i order my sons ice cream and here’s this girl holding the ice cream scooper in one hand, cone in the other while TALKING to her coworker who’s half way out the door. they’re talking about what their going to eat and bc one girl cant hear the other girl scream talking«philly cheesesteak sandwich» 3 effin times she comes in to hear her and they begin talking longer as im standing there ROLLING my eyes to show extreme displeasure. all the while my 6 year old is PATIENTLY waiting for his dang ice cream. smh. mind you i’ve been staring at their menu for a few minutes deciding and as i start to say«fudge-ana» she goes«just to let you know we’re outta bananas.» tf?! you seen me here deciding! the ENTIRE time im there she didnt think to say«hey just to let you know we’re out of the only freaking thing we have on the menu.» smh. great customer service here lemme tell you. we ordered something else and left. i begrudgingly paid for the ice cream my son already started eating. teach these chicks some customer service skills. the menu is minimal, this loards lacks quality, all the ice cream looks melted on top, girls dont have their hair tied back not to mention blue green etc etc. who cares, i’ll take my ice cream loving self to Alameda where they are clean, have excellent customer service and an actual MENU! this place is as shitty as the mall itself! negative stars.

I was really sad when the Loard’s in El Cerrito closed, but when I found out that it was at Hilltop I had to check it out. I went this afternoon to check it out. Didn’t have the vast array of flavors as they did in El Cerrito, but they did have my favorites — cookies and cream and coffee. Also, smaller in space unlike their other store. Overall, prompt service. Definitely will return here again!

They contributed to my mad Sundae making prowess – on Sunday! $ 1.6 and I had 2 hot fresh waffle cones to crumble and place over a homemade banana split made with Three Twins Madagascar Vanilla and nuts, hot fudge,& strawberries. Thanks, kind ladies!
