We rented tux from Men’s Wearhouse for my brother’s wedding. My brothers and I were trying on our tux few days prior to the wedding. At the fitting, my brother’s tux jacket(40R) was way WAY too BIG – long sleeves and too loose fitting. We asked 2 associates about the fit, they both said it was just fine – «shoulders fit just fine.» Finally, I insisted on a smaller jacket(38R) for my brother to try on for fit – it was perfect fit. Then, the sales associate agreed to call to have a new jacket shipped to the store. Felt like the sales associates did not want to deal with the hassle of exchanging jackets. If we went with the sales associates opinion, my brother(the groom) would have looked terrible for his wedding. Double/triple check your tux fit before you take them home!

Do not waste your time renting tuxedo’s from Men’s Wearhouse. I am military and own both dress uniforms and a tuxedo. Upon entering the store I wanted to get a basic tuxedo for my groomsmen. I articulated this to the salesperson that is when everything fell apart. Prior to showing up at MW I had already decided that I would be wearing my dress uniform for our wedding ceremony then changing into my tuxedo for our reception. I led my Fiancée to believe that I would be getting married in my tuxedo. This was to be a surprise as my Fiancée’s folks had a military wedding and she was very proud of a picture of her Father in uniform. I wanted to surprise her by recreating it. As an additional surprise I found bow ties in a local haberdashery that matched the color of the bridesmaid’s dresses. Upon entering and conversing with the salesperson about what I needed the salesperson kept trying to up sell me disregarding my simple request and speaking to me as though I did not know about formal attire. After it was clear I wasn’t going to bite the person then started trying to cut me out of the equation and confer directly with my Fiancée. I reached a point where I had enough of the salesmen’s condescension and revealed exactly what I was planning. My Fiancée started to tear because of the sentiment of my preparations and the salesperson looked like an idiot. He quickly wrote up the order, provided me a card for groomsmen’s measurements and told me I would need to get it back to the store a month before the ceremony. A few weeks later my soon to be Father in Law was in town and went by MW to be measured. Well it is a month before the ceremony and all of my groomsmen have emailed as an attachment the sizing card for their tuxedos. Unfortunately, MW will only accept their own sizing cards in person. This presents a problem as I am currently indisposed. I however have internet access and the ability to fax the sizing cards. MW will not accept these and are demanding that they be presented in person this week. Fortunately, I have someone in Richmond who can print them off and hand-carry them to MW so that I will have tuxedo’s for my groomsmen. Unlike the rest of the modern world Men’s Wearhouse were unwilling to accept their own forms via fax or email. Due to a lack of customer service I suggest this business be avoided.
