The restaurant staff is friendly and the food is delicious. The Chicken Maylay is both flavorful and spicy! I would give the restaurant 5 stars, but they ran out of a lot of menu items(staples like General Tsos chicken, wonton soup, and spring rolls) and this was a Saturday night. Aside from this, what we did have was great.

Holy smokes. This was horrible… sad, it use to be so delish with the other ownership. The sauces are horrible, the soup is bland, and the lady on the phone was desperate… Save your money and go elsewhere I’m giving this 1 star b/c I have to in order to post this :/

I had a togo order of black pepper triple — the chicken and shrimps were so bad that I’m only eating the mushroom and broccoli. I asked for no beef, but don’t think that would’ve make any difference. The chicken not only was bland, there’s a slight bit of stinkiness to it, almost like its rotten or freezer burnt, with a bit of chemical flavor. The shrimps are semi transparent and taste like rubber, I’m pretty positive that that have soaked the protein in some«liquid» to preserve it longer than you’re supposed to. Yes I’m a pretty picky eater and I consider myself to have pretty keen palate, but this is not me being picky, this is just me being someone who tasted food with bad quality! Growing up eating authentic Chinese food, it angers me to see this kind of food being served in so called Chinese restaurants. Its not that its not authentic, but its seriously bad! Just because there’s not many competitions in the area, doesn’t mean you can cheat on what you serve. And the dish cost me 15+tips. I’m not going back and please save your money and stomach and go somewhere else.

My girlfriend and I have ordered from here or dined in about 5 or 6 times. Sorry to say that it has been very spotty in two regards food and service. The time we ordered KungPow shrimp the shrimp tasted of freezer burn. I called this to the owners attention saying I think they had slacked out and then were refrozen then thawed again. I offered this because I wanted to help. She did not seem concerned and offered many reasons why I was wrong or how-that could not have happened. I said that maybe it was happening before they arrived and was dismissed. I’ve worked in the biz for 20 yrs stuff happens I get it this was not a slam I was trying to help her. Ordered take out 2 nights ago spring rolls were so grease laden they were not eaten. KungPow chicken was not nearly spicy enough and was told they ran out of fried rice WTF !!! You’re Chinese restaurant? The same woman offered the excuse that she could get me some if I wanted to wait 20 mins? And that she had no control over the kitchen and something about getting busy and inventory? All very confusing. When I got home and told my girlfriend that they had no fried rice. She told me she ordered a couple of weeks back and they had no white rice avail? We wanted to like this place but the indifferent attitude and hit or miss quality of food has us looking for a new spot

This place is wonderful! I’m kicking myself for not trying it sooner. The inside is decorated ornately just like the Chinese restaurant I went to when I was little. I think that cast a magic spell on my 4 and 5 year old, because they were well behaved for once. They have a super menu that has far more options for vegetarians than most Chinese restaurants. And the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be coming here regularly.

You deserve more than 5 stars, and I could write a long review about my strange experiences in your cities restaurants but anyone who care to read my experiences feel free to click threw and discover them. I have had Chinese in San Fransisco, Bejing and NYC etc. You are on par with these establishments, and I will be coming back to your amazing Resturant very soon! Look for us…

I always enjoy visiting New Mandarin Palace for several reasons. The strip mall it is located in is a little beat up, but the New Mandarin Palace is lovely inside, clean and nicely decorated. Christina always warmly greets me and makes sure I get plenty of attention. Their dine in menu has several options. Hot and Spicy Jumbo Shrimp is my favorite. The jalapeño peppers really give it a kick. Check the board when you walk in for specials perhaps not found on the menu. Please give them a chance.

Terrible service! The food was salty and definitely not worth the price. Don’t waste your money here.

Visited on a Thursday evening and had a wonderful experience! The menu is vast but, among the usual offerings, were some truly authentic Chinese dishes. Ma-La beef was perfectly described to us by the owner who took time to explain the differences between several similar-appearing entrees. The Sha-Cha chicken had unique flavors –exquisite! The Chef’s Special recommended to us, «Black Pepper Triple,» was also very enjoyable. Service was attentive and prompt. The only downsides: a lackluster Wonton soup, and the uncomfortable booth seating — a holdover from the prior ownership. Hope they correct that as their business undoubtedly increases. We shall certainly visit again and again.

We carried out from here tonight and were unimpressed. Twice cooked pork was tasty, and the sauce on the Kung Pao chicken was good, though the addition of mushrooms was bizarre. Hot and sour soup was bland and didn’t taste like much of anything. What really shocked us however were how small the dinner portions were. For $ 24 for two entrees and soup, I would certainly expect leftovers… and these portions were barely a satisfactory dinner portion. Happy to give neighborhood places a chance, but they have to do better than this to earn repeat business.

We were so sad when our favorite Chinese restaurant, Happy Happy closed. So we were so happy to hear that the owners had moved to a new place. It was even better than before. The Grand Marnier shrimp was spectacular. The wontons were crispy and delicious. Each sauce was unique, which I really appreciate. We will definitely be back.

We ate at the Mandarin tonight and the food was excellent. The best spring rolls we have ever had. The service was very good as well. We met the new owner and she checked on us several times during our meal. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the change in ownership has resulted in a decline in quality. We loved this place for many, many years. Now, the food is salty, so salty my wife and I left dehydrated with headaches. We had to drink multiple glasses of water to overcome the amount of salt that was in the food. What a shame… this place used to be the best«Chinese» food in town. No more… a legacy has passed.

This place is awesome. Finally a Chinese restaurant where everything doesn’t taste the same! The ingredients are fresh and the sauces are light, delicate and tasty. Everything I ordered was excellent! The prices are very reasonable, the place is clean and the service is always pleasant and attentive. Wife runs the front and the hubby cooks(lucky wife). They even have loose leaf tea. What other place serves loose leaf tea??? My first time was 3 weeks ago and I’ve been back 3 times already. I could make this a weekly event…

Shrimp chow mein/low mein(soft noodles) was salty and good! chicken fried rice was undercooked and too simple. The interior was very well decorated and the prices were pretty cheap! We will give this place another chance!

Went here when the other restaurant we wanted to try was closed. I think there was one server who might have also been the cook. She was efficient though. Not too friendly, but not rude either. Took a little while to get our orders(like I said, one server) but food came out quickly and waters were refilled. My friend’s kung pao chicken actually was pretty good and my sesame chicken was m’eh. Not quite what I expected. I would actually give this place another chance based on my friend’s dish.

A very disappointing dining experience… Our friends get take-out from this place all the time, so we went to dinner there last night with a large group, expecting at least good food, if not nice service. We got neither. 1.Kung Pao chicken had pieces of bone in it. Totally gross, and not worth eating. The shrimp and mushrooms was ok– kinda bland though. 2. The food was not served at the same time– so some people were done eating by the time others were served. 3. Our waitress handed plates to guests at the table to «pass down» or «hand over» to other people, instead of walking around the table to serve each guest herself. 4. Our waitress also yelled at us when we asked questions and was incredibly rude when we ordered, cutting us off, not saying thank you or greeting us, etc. Only good thing about this place? They have hot mustard and duck sauce in containers on each table– something I haven’t seen many restaurants down here do… However, I still won’t be going back here.
