This place is awesome! My fiancé and I have a rescue dog who is super uneasy and skittish around people. After a few times of bringing her to Pets at Play we saw her run right up to the staff members with her tail wagging high in the sky! Another bonus of bringing our dog to Pets at Play is that we get an e-​mail with pictures of our dog while she’s having a blast! All the dogs there seem very very happy :)

Can’t say enough about the incredible job these guys do! We use them for in home services and our pups are so happy and well cared for. I also take my older lab there for baths, they are very affectionate and careful with him.

I have been using them for 9 years. They are so friendly and love your pets. They send you pics from daycare and in home visits. I use grooming, dog walking, and in home services for my cats. Highly recommended!

We’ve been bringing our dog here for a year now and we can’t walk within a mile of the place without her trying to drag us along to Pets at Play! The staff is so friendly and really care for our pet and the facility is clean and pleasant. Grooming services are great too.

Our Westie loves this place even more than his home. My mother-​in-​law thinks he gets «doggie social skills» there. I’m not sure about that, but he loves it and the staff loves him.

We have taken our dog to Pets at Play quite a few times, for day care, overnight stays, and grooming. Every time he went, he came home happy and tired! He is well cared for and you can tell that the people there really love animals and love what they do. A+!

We have been taking Simon to Pets at Play since he was a puppy — about 6 years now. The experience has always been great — from day/​overnight boarding to grooming. The staff is terrific. Simon really enjoys his time there and comes home well exercised. The pictures they send are a large plus — I always enjoy them, and not just of Simon — they never fail to bring a smile.

I regularly have Pets at Play walk my miniature schnauzer at lunchtime. I love that they email you a few pics of your dog at the conclusion of the visit.
The staff has always been pleasant, and they’re pretty reliable. (Although I haven’t used their grooming or boarding services)

I don’t know what we’d do without Pets at Play! Our dog Ruby absolutely loves going, and comes home tired and happy every time. I completely trust the staff, and I know that she gets lots of personal attention while there. I recommend Pets at Play to all our dog friends.

Disclaimer: I don’t have a dog. I do however get the opportunity to drop in on Pets at Play for business reasons now and then. What I find is: friendly workers who love dogs, happy customers, and most important, happy dogs. I’m happy to recommend this business to my friends who need boarding, help with dog walking and the other services Pets at Play offers.

Pets at Play is one of my favorite Richmond experiences. I moved here almost four years ago… with my two cats. When my first trip neared, I began to panic about leaving my cats. Maria Lyn and the in-​home sitting she provided gave me 100% confidence that my boys were in the best hands. I love Pets at Play and so do my cats!

Since opening a small business in the Churchill area and living elsewhere I needed a place for my large pup to go to during the day while I was at work. Pets at Play has been a life saver, Otis has such a great time, and the entire staff know him and greet him by name each time he comes to play. I can’t imagine taking him anywhere else.

My husband and I have lived all over the country, and have always had at least one dog. One of the most difficult things in relocating was finding trustworthy, reliable and loving help for our pups.
We’re back in Richmond now, and relieved and happy to have Marialyn and Pets at Play back in our lives. I am absolutely neurotic about my dogs happiness– and I can say unreservedly that I never worry about working late or vacations.
There are few businesses as well run, and fewer still, people I’d rely on to keep my pup while I’m at work or away. Pets at Play is the best.

Our dogs P&G love the folks at Pets at Play. Not only do the love doggie daycare but love to have slumber parties there as well. Pets at Play has a great dog walking service, very dependable and reliable we couldn’t be more thankful for them! Knowing that our pups are safe and loved with the pictures receive and our house is always secure as they set the alarm when they leave!

Can’t say enough about Pets at Play. My dogs goes there once a week for daycare and a bath twice a month. I have both a small and large dog and they both go barreling into the place each time. Staff is always nice and are definitely dog lovers.
Here is a perfect example of why I love this place. I went to Asia for about 15 days and left my large dog there for boarding. I received pictures everyday (also get them for daycare) to let me know he was doing good. I picked him up after returning to the US and the very next day walked him past Pets at Play and he jumped on the door to get in.
What more can I say. He loves it there!

We have been totally thrilled with Pets at Play in home care. We were originally in a pinch for a pet sitter and Pets at Play came through for us and they have been extraordinary every time we have used them since.
We get multiple pictures of our pet being played with when they visit while we are away that lets us know our pet is doing well and is being cared for and they have been nothing short of professional and courteous. I would highly recommend their in home care to anyone in the Church Hill area.

We recently used Pets at Play for in home care when we went on vacation and I couldn’t be MORE pleased. We have two bunnies and a cat so I was a bit concerned about cost when we 1st were looking for help. Well, they had a totally reasonable daily rate and only charged an additional $ 10 to come over on the holiday.
We received daily updates on our pets, including photos from Maria Lynn. Our famously skittish kitty was no longer hiding after day two, which completely surprised me. On arriving home there was a daily log of the times our pets were visited and an very very lovely note.
We have used other in home pet care but I have never felt less guilty about leaving them. I loved the updates and they went a long way to helping me feel at ease. I can tell you, we’ll use them again.
