Prime Copy & Printing

They have been good and dependable. But they are supposed to open at 9:30 am and it is now 9:50 and everyone is still waiting outside. Not good. Not happy and other people are upset. I would leave but I have important paperwork to be copied here. They are so close to my house also.

I’ve been coming to Prime Copy for about 15 years. They’re relatively close to where I live which makes things convenient.
Most of what I have them do is spiral binding of paperback books (computer and photo how-​to books).
Their prices are reasonable but most important is the friendliness of the service. They’ve taken the time to get to know their customers and they work very closely with me to meet my needs. [I work within their needs, too, and don’t demand things immediately when I don’t really need things right away.]
As mentioned by others, this is a family run business with the family having deep roots with this community. Their efforts to give back to their community has shocked me. Considering the limited amount of business they get, I can’t fathom how they can afford to donate so much to so many different groups, organizations and events.
If I had to find fault with PC, it would be the lack of available parking in the strip mall where they’re located. The other businesses there (a couple of restaurants, a haircutting place and a small deli type place) use many of the available spots. For some reason the street parking seems filled, too.
Because business has been slow after the recent closing of the Safeway store across the street, they’ve had to reduce their hours and that’s inconvenient. I can’t blame them, though, for cutting back when the lack of business can’t justify staying open.

I agree with the 1 star reviews written by Adrianna and Serene, about poor service. It is good to see 2 others reported jobs well done. It is unfortunate, in any business, when the person behind the desk does not know how to connect or be kind. Heart/​spirit problem. However, I give 3 stars because I have been able to accomplish tasks here, and I want to support small local business.

Professional quality, always on time if not early, ready & willing to obtain any type of paper stock for all kinds of print jobs. Also very patient if I have computer glitches on my disc/proofs…other places will charge you to «fix» incompatibility problems on your own on their computer… this place works with you and doesn’t charge through the nose like other places do.
With that, it is family-​run and therefore these are real people who live here and value their community and great service. I originally approached them to ask for a donation to our public school and they happily gave. After that, whenever we needed printing jobs, they have always been generous and at least beat anyone elses quote by at least 5%. They have kids in school and understand that the school’s need support.
Once I arrived and the owner was on the phone… he was talking to a woman in Oakland who was using her own resources to try to garner support & reward money to help find a missing child that was most likely the victim of abuse. Prime Copy’s owner was offering to print as many fliers as they needed… free.
It is unfortunate that Unilocal is full of reviewers who are immature & self-​centered and are ready to ruin the reputation of a caring local business just because that review is impatient or has a bad attitude in general. If these folks took the time to treat the people of these small businesses as human beings, they would have a whole different experience with this excellent print shop, if not life as a whole.

Each time I come here because I am in a hurry and they are close to my home, i kick myself. The poor service has not improved over the years and the women behind the counter have ALWAYS been fussy and unfriendly. I don’t usually rate businesses so low — I know it is a tough market for all of us trying to pay bills– but this place is about as bad as it gets.

I went there to get lettering for my restaurant’s menu board. They said it would be ready in about one week. I called back a few times just to hear that it would be ready by this weekend or that weekend. When I finally received my letters, I found that quite a few prices were missing. They were very unhelpful. I do not recommend this place at all. Horrible service.
