This was a hell of a lot of fun! Matt(our range master) was absolutely awesome and my girlfriend and I are coming back again for round 2.

I’ve been to Richmond a couple times before and had a great experiences both times. Quite the drive, but the guides are great and it’s definitely a fun place to shoot. I am writing this review because of the poor customer service experience I had with both the manager and the staff. I bought a Living Social deal and called multiple times prior to the expiration in order to make a reservation. I left two messages and never received a call back from them. I tried calling several more times after that, and no one was available to pick up the phone. Finally, a week later they picked up the phone when I called and would not honor my living social deal because it had expired. In addition, they insinuated that I must not have really called and left a message since they always respond back. I am disappointed that a manager of a customer focused business would accuse a customer of lying. Thankfully Living Social has better standards and gave me my money back due to this negative experience. Sorry to say, Richmond Hunting Club you have lost a customer that will not be coming back. I hope you treat future customers better, and if you do not want to deal with customers that buy Groupon or Living Social deals, you should not put them out there.

Ummm are we there yet… there’s not really much out here… if a tree falls and no ones there does it make a sound… Yep — we drove out to bumble — –and we had F-U-N!!! Purchased a groupon for the clay shooting package. As the weather gets nicer be sure to call ahead as soon as you have a date/time in mind. The weekends fill out pretty quick. Luckily we went on a Friday at around 11:30 and we were the only group there for a bit. We were a group of 4, the package included gun rental, vests, the clays, and 100 rounds — we had to purchase an additional 300 rounds(or you can purchase ahead of time and bring your own – just make sure they are steel shot vs. lead shot). Depending on the weather you may choose to bring sunglasses, but didn’t think any eye protection was necessary — –they also provided foamy ear plugs which are a must — say no to momentary bouts of deafness. The areas belonging to the club itself was very expansive, they had areas for game hunting(when in season), obstacle courses(picture tough mudder/mudderella-esque course), paint balling, and clay shooting. So definitely lots of room to stretch out the legs. Our puller was super nice and showed a newbie like me the ropes — I thought I wasn’t going to hit anything and managed to get a few in — out of the 100 rounds I shot. There were 10 different stations — think we like the rabbit one the best — basically the clays get shot and bounce off the ground a few times. Overall be prepared to spend a couple of hours outdoors. I had good company and a good time. Would definitely go out and do this again!

Called week ahead to make reservation for my son and myself to skeet shoot 100 rounds each for price of $ 100. When we got there yesterday we decided to only shoot 50 founds each which is priced at $ 70 on website. I was charged $ 100 but didn’t notice until we were on range shooting. Young girl who was our skeet puller told me to talk yo cashier and get $ 30 refund. When we finished I went to cashier to explain I was charged for 100 rounds each but we only shot 50 rounds each so I should get $ 30 refund. After. 10 minutes it was clear she would not give me the refund, as she was stating 50 rounds each is $ 100. So my advice is be sure you check the charges she is ringing up because there is no going back. On the up side the young girl who was our skeet puller was courteous and friendly, very patient, in fact the cashier could take lessons from her on how up be customer oriented. Last year I spent more than $ 1,000 on pheasant hunting here with friends and family so yesterday was a disappointment. Whether I go back this year hunting is up in the air now.

Went with a HUGE group to do clay shooting and we had a great time. Everyone at the hunting club was so nice, accommodating, and very patient with those of us that had never shot a shotgun before, which was the majority of the group. We also had some teen volunteers out there to help teach us newbies to hold and shoot the gun and practice proper safety procedures. The teens were also amazing. It’s a bit of a drive from the city, but I would have no hesitations going back there. We also got to sample some great jalapeño venison kielbasa — amazing!

Well worth the drive. Good fun, great guides. Sport clay, birds or paintball. A must do and a great crew. Don’t forget to have some pheasant pie on the way out.
