Sleep Inn

Nice place to stay ! The rates are average but this place is very clean, no weird smells, stuff is pretty attentive, free wifi, free coffee. No bath tho but over all great!

Meh. I didn’t have a 5-​star experience like some others here but I didn’t have a 1-​star experience either. We stopped in to sleep on our way to Charleston, SC. We arrived after 11pm and wanted to go right to bed to get an early start the next morning. We got a room on the first floor that was on the back side of the hotel and right across from the vending and ice machines. After we killed a giant fly in our room and shut off the lights, we realized our room didn’t get very dark. I didn’t even need my phone light to make my way to the bathroom. The hotel is lit up unnecessarily bright from the outside, so I suspected it was light from that seeping in through the sides and bottoms of our curtains. Bummer. Our AC didn’t get very cold very fast — I’m not sure it ever got down to the temp we wanted it to. Around 3am we were awoken by someone who must have been trying to fill a suitcase with ice (that’s how much friggin ice they seemed to tap for). I think I got a total of 3 – 4 hours of sleep due to noise and discomfort. On my way out the next morning I noticed that it seemed like the hallways weren’t air conditioned. Some of the windows have broken seals and condensation stuck on the inside. And there isn’t much parking. So if you’re the type that travels in a giant pickup with a trailer attached, good luck (although the three such vehicles that took up 15 total spots didn’t seem to have a problem). So yeah. Meh.

Last night we decided to find a place on our trip back home it was the only motel available so we got a room. Got to sleep before midnight and was hoping for an early start back on the road at six am. Well to our surprise we got woken up at 4 am by someone trying to break into our room. The pounding and rattling went on for 29 minutes we looked out the peep hole but could not see who it was they were demand g us to let them in. I proceeded to call the front desk for help but to my surprise he would not help us he insisted there was nothing going on. The whole time I was trying to get him to come to the room and he refuses they where still beating down our door. I advised him I was going to call the police he hung up and I the room phone but it was dead. Lucklly I had my cell and was able to get the help we needed to get out of ther safely. No thanks to the front desk. I feel he was I on it. Why where we the only one targeted. Found out from the police that area is a heavy crime and drug area. Think twice before you stay there. Thank god for the police dept

Easy check-​in, clean, newly renovated and No bad smells! Yay. The standard room was 89.00 but has a shower only (not sure if others have a tub). Sleep Inn is really Close to highway & restaurants too.

So, after three days they found another room on a different level. This room is 100% better than the last one! But still not the best. I’m just thankful the SMELL is not in this room. I did notice while moving all my stuff, that smell has permeated through my stuff. The owner of this place really must not CARE about their business. Mismatched plugs and outlets, nasty carpets, the fire sprinklers are not even through the ceiling properly, the new toilet runs constantly, the doors look like they salvaged them from a dump. The breakfast doesn’t open early enough so I haven’t had any of that. If I had a choice I wouldn’t be staying here now and definitely won’t in the future. i would never stay here with a family.

This Sleep Inn is located near Interstate 95, but I heard very little road noise. I made my reservations through the Choice Website and check-​in was quick. My room was clean and the beds well made. Like most Sleep Inn, the bathroom was small and features only a shower, if you want a tub then you should look elsewhere. The cost is a good value for the area. You are located in easy driving distance to both downtown Richmond or Petersburg. The hotel staff were polite and professional. The breakfast area featured the usual, eggs with a meat, cereal, fruit, waffles, coffee and juice. The wireless internet was free and strong. I will consider this hotel when I find myself on the south side of Richmond.

After a long drive, all I want to do is rest in a clean and comfortable room. Knowing I have to get up really early to keep driving and its already late, price becomes a factor… Im only spending about 7 hours here and dont wanna spend too much money. This hotel is perfect for all that! The rates online quoted $ 89 plus tax %. Came in the lobby and he gave us the last room available for only $ 69.00 plus tax %. What a nice surprise!!!
More surprising is how nice the rooms are! Renovated… Not only do they look new, they smell new!!! The décor is very appealing, the beds are very comfortable and everything, from sink, to bathroom, to bed sheets, to carpet is very very clean. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Richmond!!! About to get a good night sleep now … And I cant wait to wake up for the free hot breakfast! ;)

Chose this room after receiving special promotion. Would recommend this hotel if you are in the Richmond area! really nice new Dream image.

Clean, very friendly & helpful clerk. Coffee in the lobby. Free Wi-​Fi. Hot breakfast included. Cozy rooms. Coffee pot in the room with coffee packs. Fridge, ironing board, microwave, cable with HBO, hair dryer. [Two beds in our room.]

Originally were going to stay at a nearby Hampton Inn to delay holiday exhaustion due to traveling all day, but after finding a hotel coupon book and viewing coupons for other Hampton Inns at high 70’s and with this particular Hampton Inn clerk ‘doing her best’ at $ 107 we declined and stayed here instead.
We are pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is for such an inexpensive price.
