Nice lady and the burrito was huge. I recommend when ordering to take out the lettuce but overall was good.

This place is great! Incredible value and huge burritos! Their carne asada has a unique and delicious flavor. I used to work down the street and would stop by this place frequently and they never disappointed. Whenever I’m in the area I make sure to try and go!

My boyfriend and I both got a super burrito and it was super gross! Nasty beans, plain rice and basically no meat. Not very good service either.

The burritos here exceed Bay Area standards. The meat is tasty and the flour tortillas are delicious. For a great price the regular burrito is enormous and sure to satisfy the biggest appetite. $ 7 something

Was in the marina area and wanted to grab something fast but good to eat. So i turn my location on to look for a burrito spot by the area and came across this one. I got myself the super burrito and my son got the regular one. My husband ordered 5 tacos too which came out to about 25 dollars. We ordered our food and the lady said the card machine didn’t work so we had to go to the liquor store next door to get money. We waited about 15 minutes for our food and there was 3 people waiting to start their orders. We got our order went home and started to grub. My sons regular burrito looked like a super burrito and my super burrito looked like a double super… it was huge!!! I couldn’t even finish the burrito and I’m the type of person that would. I would go back again if I was in the area again. The only thing I would have wanted was tortillas chips, in s.f. mostly every taqueria gives chips I guess over here thats a no go and my husband wanted limes with his tacos which they didn’t give.

I went in there around 6:45 and I seen two guys, that are regular customers. The two guys are named Javier Cruz-​Garcia (aka Francisco) and Sergio Aguirre (aka Samuel). They are both Mexican men, however, Javier is tall, while Sergio is short. And that day, the owner was at the counter with them, saying that she was closed early for the day. It seems like she has her preference of those two and sometimes doesn’t even charge them, from what I was told from them. After hours, Javier and Sergio usually come to the restaurant to eat dinner. The lady opens the restaurant door to let them and takes their order, but no one else. This lady is really stupid because they talk hella shit about her behind her back, saying that they’re using her for free food, since she doesn’t charge them. They also say that her restaurant is a «fonky-​ass restaurant and it’s hella dirty and dingy with hella flies.» As for the comments about the lady herself, they say that she looks like an ugly ass witch. When she has her back turned and is cooking Javier and Sergio’s food, Javier and Sergio make funny faces to her. Usually, around ten o’clock at night, Javier and Sergio drive by her restaurant, and yell, «Moscas.» This translates to «flies» in English and even self-​made this word for the name of her restaurant. Poor lady, if she only knew what her best customers said about her. Sometimes they complain that their stomach hurts from eating her food, especially Sergio. This is reason why he stop eating her meat items from the menu and instead, usually orders a vegetarian burrito. I have heard them call her a «fat ass bitch, a tattle-​tale, and «margada,» which is a complainer. I recall another time, when I came into the restaurant for lunch, and she took my order. Twenty minutes later, another customer, which was her male friend, came in, and she took her order. She then informed me that she had to cook his food first because he had to go to work. I know of a male friend who went to this restaurant to order a pot of beans. When it came to taking his order, she informed him that it would be no problem with ordering the beans itself and it would be ready in less than ten minutes. An hour passes, and she still hasn’t gave him the beans. She then informs him that she didn’t have anymore beans because she used all of it. As for my recommendation, I do NOT recommend going to this restaurant because it’s full of clowning around from her two best customers because when I see those two, I just shake my head.

Her tacos are awesome her burritos not so much but I give this place a one star because the lady that owns the business I’ve been buying from for 12 years woulda been 13 but I’ve become fed up with discrimination lol I noe we r talking about food but it she treats ppl that are not Spanish lik 2^nd class I’ve been going there for years nd never disrespected or raised my voice to this lady nd still til this day she will lie to me that she has no chips nd I cnt eat my tacos without her chip I even pay extra wen she doesn’t want to giv them to me but wen Spanish ppl cum n the chips come out nd she automatically gives them chips nd I’m not the kinda person who’s gna make a scene nd ask her y is she doing that I jus stop going to her nd il write this review to warn u about how ur gna feel wen u ask to eat there nd she still puts ur stuff n a Togo plate with 5 chips nd u look over to her fellow Spanish ppl with a bowl full of chips salsa n a bowl nd tacos nd burritos on real plates smh she has nerve

Soooo freaking good its the best burritos in richmond ill tell yall that cant go wrong all those negative reviews are wroNH i always go and shes always polite taking orders and working hard i love her best tacos and burritos are hugeeee!!!

Get your own chips for the nachos. Everything on them. Hit the spot everytime. Could be cheaper but trill good as hell. im dont judge people by color so location color of people getting food doesn’t bother me. Lot of high school kids in the afternoon

I’m from the central valley, so I’ve been spoiled with their delicious taco trucks in Modesto/​Stockton and huge burritos in Manteca. But so far this place has been the best bang for buck. Largest portions I’ve had in Richmond, been trying everywhere I can. I like lettuce in my burritos, some don’t. Tasted good, but I’m picky about meat, hope they get better asada. Will be back.
As for the lady, I like her, tried to make me speak Spanish, didn’t happen lol. I don’t think shes racist either like someone else here mentioned, just tired of ignorance. I saw a few black folk walk in, rude, loud, speaking in one word phrases («chips, CHIPS, y’all got chips?!») complaining about prices, (LOL WHAT?) these things take a toll on people, be kind, respectful, patient, and you’ll see results.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. The burritos are big… But trying to eat the meat was like digging for buried treasure… that shit didn’t exist. There was no salsa no beans and I guess they didn’t understand my order cause no one spoke decent English. If you want to pay 7.00 dollars for a rice burrito that’s labeled super… By all means… but if you love to eat delicious burritos run in the opposite direction. YUCK~

LOVE THIS PLACE! To me, they have the BEST burritos and nachos in Richmond. I’ve been coming here for years.
The place here may look pretty crappy and in a dangerous area but that doesn’t stop me from still going.
The woman who owns the business is really nice and friendly also. Whenever she makes the burrito for you, she mixes it around so that the rice wont be one one side, with meat on one side, and sour cream on the other. So the burrito comes out perfectly delicious.

Out of all the times I’ve come here, I’ve been disappointed only once. The tacos are great, and if you go to the store next door and get Doritos to make nachos, those wont let you down either!

They are not playing arround when they say Super Burrito at Chavinda! We are talking about a Mega sized Burrito. The meat not only is soft and tender but really tasty, add beans rice, pick de gallo cream cheese and salsa and you got your self the most delicious burrito that can honestly feed two people. It’s Huge. Almost Hacienda grill style! The food is always very authentic!
The tortilla chips are made on spot. All the good here is just phenomenal!!!

I can honestly, without any hesitation, say, unquestionably, that THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT IN THE WHOLE WORLD. I have traveled all over the world and lived all over the united states, and no matter what. THIS IS THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN. I ate here every single day for lunch for years and i never came close to getting sick of it. Beyond that, it is run by the kindest, most amazing people who treat you like family while giving you THE BEST FOOD YOU HAVE EVER TASTED.
Do yourself a favor, go.

wow this as hole-​in-​the-​wall as it gets and it is AWESOME. I had the burrito and nachos and it pure amazingness! So cheesy and FILLING… I suggest bringing friends to help you finish it off. As soon as you order it, they start making it, it’s like eating out of someones kitchen! Also a warning, your stomach will fill like a brick afterwards, but it’s totally worth it! I spent the next night day recovering, but I am dreaming about going back (and drooling while thinking about it).

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO SO MUCH. LOVE THE BOSSY OWNER who tried to teach me how to speak Spanish. HAHA, I didn’t learn any though.

This place has the best nachos and burrito! I crave their nachos on a daily basis!!! The lady who works there is awesome! She’s usually there by herself. The location is kinda iffy. But other than that, this place has the best nachos and burritos!!!
