The LASIK Vision Institute

If I could tell any perspective LASIK patient any piece of advice, it would be to AVOID this company! Very disappointed in the customer service and organization.
When you go into your consultation, they will run a bunch of tests, dilute your eyes, and then give you a quote for the procedure. Then, if you want to schedule the procedure you will need to pay a $ 100 refundable deposit to secure your date.
Thankfully, I decided to go with a local LASIK surgeon instead of a national one. I called within 48 hours and cancelled my appointment. It’s been a month and I have NOT received my «refundable deposit» back. Called the corporate office to speak to a customer service representative, only got to speak to a computer or an answering machine. It took at least 5 different attempts to actually talk to someone. Their excuse, «our case manager has been out and we’ve had company employees flying in from different cities so your refund never got processed.» Sounds like a scam to me.
Avoid this company all together and go with a local LASIK surgeon who will actually answer your phone calls/​questions. I did and I will be so glad to be done with this awful company

It’s been three days since my Custom LASIK surgery, and my eyes feel amazing! There’s no more discomfort, and my vision is just a bit blurry. As my eyes continue to heal, my vision becomes clearer. I estimate that I’ll have ²⁰⁄₂₀ in about a week.
The office is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. Every nurse/​doctor/​staff member I encountered was very friendly, but professional. I had no hesitation and full confidence that my surgery was being handled by well equipped professionals.
Most of the time spent there was for surgery prep and paperwork. The surgery itself was very quick. There’s definitely discomfort, dare I say pain (mostly from stretching open my eyelids), but it’s over so quickly.
LASIK is amazing! Even with my eyes still recovering, I’m seeing so well. No more glasses, no more contact lenses. I’ve never felt freer in my life.

I recently had LASIK done at the Forest Ave location in Richmond. It has been a great experience! The staff is helpful and very pleasant. I would highly recommend them!

I was being seen at the va beach location but had the PRK done at this location. Easy to get too and the people who work at both locations are super nice.
However, I had to wait over 4 hours over my scheduled appointment time to be seen because they over boarded several appointments. Even tho. they were nice I won’t be going back I don’t have a 8 hrs to kill between drive time and to be seen on my scheduled appointment.
