I am an avid fan of Lilly Pulitzer and I used to live near a Lilly Pulitzer retail store. I was excited to hear about this one so I went in for a visit. I was wearing Lilly walking in and the sales associates were either too busy talking to each other or doing something else. I was trying to approach a sales associate to ask a question and they kept carrying on their conversation. I was planning on buying a couple hundred dollars worth of clothing but I walked out. I will either shop online or drive two hours to the Lilly store in Tysons Galleria.

Poor customer service. Very short on the phone and online ordering is not responsive after order is placed.

So, since I’m the new Store Manager of the Pink Palm, I wanted to weigh in just a bit to say that I can only speak to the present climate in our store. The Pink Palm is such a different shopping experience in that it’s a very fun, social, lighthearted and energetic atmosphere in homage to Lilly herself! We absolutely DO try on every item of clothing that we sell during business hours and discuss fit and style with each other and with our customers. In fact, Lilly Pulitzer asks for notes on the clothing so that they can make any adjustments needed. We might even ask YOU to try on some things when you come in as well! We also are constantly posting photos on Instagram, Snap Chat and Facebook because you guys LOVE it! Please know that we want you to have a blast when you are here, and we will bend over backwards to help you… but we try not to suffocate and«sell». We want you to feel like you’re a friend… so come in, chat, linger awhile. If you think it’s going to be a formal, somber, buttoned up shopping experience, we hope to pleasantly surprise you! It’s a perpetual summer party at the Pink Palm… and YOU are always at the top of the guest list! xoxo

I like this store because it’s pretty much the only place in RVA to get Lilly Pulitzer clothing. The store is well-stocked, clean and has a nice atmosphere. It’s also very spacious and you don’t have to dig for items. Plus they will ship items from their other partner stores into their store for free if they don’t have something in stock. They also have a pretty good sale section in the back. The other thing I love about this store is their rewards system… spend a certain amount and earn store credit. The staff are very nice and always greet you with a smile. They will definitely help you if you ask. They will gift wrap things for free with beautiful wrapping paper and ribbons(which is a nice touch especially if you are buying gifts!). However, they can be pretty unprofessional at times. I have been to this store multiple times and pretty much each time I go, the sales associates are trying clothes on for themselves and chit chatting amongst themselves. They try on stuff in the fitting room and then walk out to the sales floor to ask the other sales associates their opinions. I’ve also seen the manager do this. Its just extremely strange that they are more focused on their own clothes than they are with helping customers. I’ve never seen this kind of behavior in a retail store before. And judging by the other reviews on this Unilocal page, this behavior has been noticed by other shoppers too. Overall its a great store and I am a regular customer and will continue to shop there for all my preppy clothing needs. Just expect to be a little weirded out by the sales associates basically acting like friends shopping together rather than actual store employees.

Pink Palm in Richmond was awesome! We were a little wary because of the reviews which we found to be untrue. Everyone spoke to us as soon as we walked in the door and made us feel welcome. The sales staff was extremely helpful even checking and ordering what we needed from other stores. We all came out with something new and can’t wait to go back again!

If I’m going to spend $ 300+ on Lilly every time I come in, I expect to be treated with professional courtesy at the very least. The salesgirls are consistently snobby, and are usually too busy trying on clothes themselves to assist customers. And god help you if you ever come in to The Pink Palm in anything less than stylish, because you’ll never be acknowledged. I love Lilly, but shopping should not be this much of an ordeal. I’ll be ordering online directly from the Lilly site from now on.

Horrible customer service! I keep giving this store a chance and each time it’s the same story, the sales associates are so busy talking to each other that they can be torn away from their conversation to offer assistance to the customer! The displays are a mess. Today’s topics were weddings, how drunk people get vomit! Oh and pregnancy. Three associate and me. Needless to say I left and not so much as a goodbye, the store was a mess! This store is never friendly, always snobby but today they reached an all time low!

The Pink Palm is pretty much Richmond’s only dedicated Lilly Pulitzer boutique. You’ll find all the latest styles for women every season, along with accessories, sunglasses, shoes, swimwear, pajamas, loungewear and children’s apparel. I really like this store, except inventory is limited. It seems like there are always fresh, new fun styles. They don’t get very many of each size. There are good end-of-season sales where you can score great deals on Lilly stuff, if your size is left. The staff is semi friendly, but also a bit snobby. They are one of my least favorite parts about shopping here. Also, the cutest items go fast because there is limited inventory.
