So, you can see from my review below that I was(and sort of still am) a fan of Todd Lofts. While much of what I wrote before is still true, let me explain why I am re-reviewing them and giving a lower score: Change for the worse: While I said before that this place was a good deal, I’m not as convinced that this is the case anymore. The place recently underwent a lot of renovations from top to bottom. After keeping my rent at about $ 900/month for two years of my stay, my most recent renewal skyrocketed to $ 1224. Let me reiterate that my apartment is a one-bedroom(and more kind of a loft/corner unit), and that’s a lot to be paying for one person. Also, it seems unreasonable to expect someone living on a fixed income to suddenly be able to afford a 25% greater apartment cost. My conclusion: their new policy is «out with the old, in with the rich». As someone who has been a good tenant for several years, it kind of sucks I’m getting pushed out. Things which are still great: While the aforementioned renovations suck in terms of increased cost, the new facilities are quite nice and look very appealing. These include re-graveled parking lots, new things in the common room, refurbished walls, and new doors. Maintenance responds to calls quickly and does a good job. The people in the front office are still quite nice and personable. Overall, if you’re doing well for yourself but aren’t quite ready to buy a house right now, Todd Lofts is a good option. Also, if you have some good roommates to split the rent with, that might work too. However, if you’re by yourself and/or on a budget, Todd Lofts might be out of reach. :-/When my lease runs out in July, I’m heading elsewhere.
